War: Horsemen of the Apocalypse Log #2 - 3rd to 5th June
WHO: War and YOU!
WHERE: Everywheeeeere!
WHEN: 3rd to 5th June
WHAT: Second part of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse Plot. This means War! Time for grumpiness, arguments, fighting and all out war between friends and foes as the War ring takes it’s hold. Spread via close proximity to the ring, this can be caught at any of the main hero cities throughout the stated dates thanks to a well travelled lawyer and his camera crew. Characters affected by the ring’s power will first feel levels of irritation, which will give way to all out paranoia, temper tantrums and violent tendencies only hours later.
WARNINGS: Possibility for extreme violence, death and other potentially disturbing scenarios. Please state in headers if you believe there to be anything extra needs to be warned about.
It starts with little more than a thought. That little niggling feeling in the back of your mind when you know it’s going to be a bad day. You can’t quite put your finger on where it came about or why, but it’s not hard to notice a rise in irritation. Someone coughing too loudly, some idiot cutting in front of you on the sidewalk or in a car, even your best friend telling a joke that suddenly sounds like it might be a personal dig at you: it’s all enough to set you on edge. You might try and ignore it, but little by little that aggression starts bubbling to the surface, weighing you down until you just want to snap.
It’s okay to let your thoughts be heard! Better to say what you think than keep them bottled inside. Better to get a little physical than leave yourself unheard. So maybe you were a little rude to someone. You might have even punched a guy just for walking nearby, but it’s to be expected. It’s their own fault.
But those feelings don’t stop no matter how much you yell and shout, or how determined you are to silently brood and glare. Soon it becomes apparent that someone is out to get you. It could be those guys who have been staring you down, or that friend of yours that’s obviously been stabbing you in the back. Maybe it’s those spies that have been sneaking around your apartment complex, or the Walkers that have slowly started to shuffle their decaying bodies through the streets. Whoever or whatever it is, you know that it’s up to you to get rid of them! It may be an idea to team up, after all there’s plenty of others out there who you could form a strong alliance with to help right the wrongs and fight the evil, but if there isn’t you know you can go it alone and still win.
Try to find a weapon or get yourself to a vantage point. Anything that will help you win this war!
Just try to save some for the rest of us.

[ She bolts toward Galatea again, both her fists outstretched. She moves faster than she normally does, as if she can't spare even a nanosecond when it comes to Galatea.
She doesn't think she can. People like them hardly require a minute to do major damage if they really wanted to. ]
no subject
Fine with me!
[They are coming right at each other. She brings up and arm to block and another to send a punch of her own, trying to strike first before Power Girl really gets her momentum going.]
no subject
[So something's obviously off with PG. Not the willingness to punch, but the fact that she isn't even bothering to give an explanation to what is it that's 'wrong' with Tea, exactly. So if he can't get to PG, maybe he can get to Galatea?
He flies up at his top speed, not trying to hit any of them but kind of crashing against Galatea to push her away from the fight.] Look around! Look at the mess you're making!
You need to stop.
no subject
Maybe Galatea and Superman have already grown close without her knowledge. It wouldn't be the first time he's ditched her without as much as a word because someone else like her came along. She might not be Galatea or Kara, but doesn't she matter at all?
It's overwhelmingly frustrating. Peej's eyes flare and in her anger she fires another beam of heat vision at Superman this time.
Like a superpowered child having a tantrum. How about that. ]
no subject
I need to stop. Like this is my fault and she didn't attack me.
[Of course he would do this. Of course he would blame her and expect her to be the one to step down because Power Girl has gone crazy. As if it's her fault the woman has an inferiority complex the size of Jupiter and decided to take it out on her. When she hasn't even done anything. At least back home she was actively trying to kill Supergirl, but this is complete crap and she's not going to just let him get away with it. She shoves a finger into his chest, not even looking at Power Girl right then.]
Why don't you shove that up your--! [And that's when she sees the heat vision ray coming right at them.]
Damn it! [She shoves harder, trying to pushing Superman away and get herself out of the way at the same time, but she still gets hit hard, right on the side of her shoulder and neck. The pain is harsh and she cries out, flies backwards from the force of the blast.]
no subject
So he meets laser with laser, focusing a blast of his heat vision straight at Powergirl's so the two blasts meet in the middle. If Karen looks away it will be useless, but at least it will buy him very valuable seconds to figure out what's happening.]
That's why I'm talking to you! I have no idea what's gotten her to attack you but you need to fly away, not fight back.
no subject
Why aren't you listening to me?! She's...
[ She clenches her fists at her sides. ]
So, what? Because she's here you'll just drop everything for her? Like I don't matter again?
no subject
I don't know what the hell you two did to each other but don't drag me into it.
[Backing down from a fight is not her style. She hates the idea of running when she could win. But this has nothing to do with her and she can see that. She's being used as some twisted proxy. This is so messed up. And it kills her urge to fight because all it does it spiral. No matter what she does here, it's really going to be about them.]
Leave me out of your family drama or I will finish it myself next time.
[And she's leaving. Flying off before she pulls back and slugs Superman because this is obviously his fault.]
no subject
Galatea seems to want to punch him (like he’s the one attacking her?), so she’ll probably follow him if he flies of to some deserted place where they will not put anyone in danger. Either that or she’ll just fly away, which also works for Kal. So the problem is Karen.]
Galatea, my fight is not with you so I won’t return the punches. I don’t want to make things worse.
PG… [He opens his mouth, then closes it. What is he supposed to say? Is something making Karen act like this, or had she been bottling this up since Kara appeared? And now he’s gone, to New Krypton, following Kara and leaving Karen behind again. He hadn’t even given it a second thought, but she had always been so strong. So independent. Was that just an excuse?]
Let’s talk somewhere else? I promise to listen to you. Really listen.
no subject
Like when Kal had only appeared at her side, taking a break out of his oh so busy schedule with Kara, to talk with her only after she had nearly dropped a plane out of the sky. The fact he only ever seems to show up when Peej is at a breaking point isn't all that comforting as it should be. ]
What, now you wanna talk? You must have had hundreds of opportunities to do that and now is the one time you decide to?
no subject
He had no idea Karen felt like that. Even if this is some sort of spell like the one that made him fall asleep, he can't risk letting that kind of feelings fest inside of her if they really are there somewhere deep inside of her. He isn't sure what's going on- he's talked to Galatea 3 times, at most, since she got here and she's made it very clear she doesn't want to be just another PG. So his best guess is that this doesn't have anything to do with Galatea at all.
And all to do with him.]
We talked plenty of times. I went to you for advice.
You never said anything about this. How was I to know?
no subject
[ She's half-tempted to shove him away, but she also doesn't want to be in his presence anymore. It's making her much more angrier, so she turns her back on him, shoulders shaking. ]
Have I ever actually mattered to you? Or am I just a placeholder again until Kara's here?!
no subject
Of course you matter. You're not Kara, and Kara is not you. And I don't- I'm sorry if I made you think I wanted you to be her?
Karen, I think... there's something wrong. Something off. You wouldn't usually act like this.
no subject
Leave me alone now!
no subject
I can't. Not while you're acting like this.
no subject
You don't have a choice.
no subject
Because while she's using very valid reasons for her anger he still has no doubt that something (someone?) is pushing her over the edge and making her take that final step towards anger.]
You're right, I don't. But that doesn't change the fact that I care.
And I am sorry if I haven't been good at showing it.
no subject
She decides to go somewhere he might not think right away to look. Somewhere that reminds her of the life she was building back home, but isn't it either. As angry as she is, she wants to curl up somewhere and be alone for a while and not have to think about Kal, or her Kal, or Galatea or Kara.
Shutting out the world is the best course of action right now. ]
Well, it's too late for that.
no subject
If he tries to catch up with her he's making it worse. And if he lets her go... well. Would she go back to seeking Galatea the moment Clark isn't around? Or would she focus on someone else? She seems to be slowly going back to herself, so maybe the effect of whatever had taken a hold of her is wearing off.
Can he take the risk?]
What will you do if I leave you alone?
no subject
[ She does her best to turn down her hearing so she isn't picking up on whatever he has to say next. Luckily, rather than deciding to punch a person or a building, she lands at the garbage dump just outside the city and punches through a thick stack of metal to blow off some of this steam.
She won't be responding after this, occupying herself with punching and bending metal before she buries herself in a corner. ]
no subject
I do care. And I'll be listening. If you want to talk just say my name.]
