so remember that time you wore my face and was nearly blown up
WHO: Kaito KID and Shiho Miyano (someone learned how to use their powers)
WHERE: A park in Nonah
WHEN: A couple of days after her training session with Hime.
WHAT: Time to actually meet up after the events of the train mishap back home. (Also, somewhere in the distance Conan is screaming because there are plots for trolling to be made.)
WARNINGS: n/a
The hour was late but instead of going home, Shiho Miyano was seated on a bench by herself, her hands holding her communicator as she stared at it without really looking at it. Dressed in a sweater, leggings, and flats, the chemist was running her thumb along the side of the device as her mind went in circles. Question after question rolled about in her head but she didn't have an answer prepared for any of them. Somehow- beyond her comprehension and knowledge -she was able to override the drug in her body that forced her into her child form, all thanks to this supposed power of age manipulation. A power that worked simply if she concentrated hard enough and pictured herself at the age she truly was.
She hung her head for a moment, letting her forehead touch the top of the communicator. The feeling of disbelief still remained even after a few days her training session with Hime.
"This shouldn't be possible... Mother's work is too complicated and precise for something as stupid as this to nullify it," she muttered to herself. "Super powers... ridiculous..." And yet, being the scientist that she is, she couldn't just ignore the fact that it had. Not when there was evidence as clear as day supporting this. Shiho couldn't exactly argue with herself after all.
A sigh passed from her lips, one that sounded distinctively of annoyance, before the teenage chemist slowly stood on her feet. With a one more glance at her communicator she stuffed it into her hand bag before glancing at her watch. It was getting late and she still needed to pick up something from a grocery store before heading back.

"If we were from the same world or not," He replied, with a slight shrug of a shoulder. "You see, your face was very familiar to me, yet I did not wish to bother you if you were merely someone who resembled a face that I've seen before." He sighed, a bit dramatically. "I fear that we might have a little detective in common."
no subject
That theatrical sigh was met with a short, soft spoken laugh though, her hand moving to rest on her cheek as a small smirk curled the corners of her lips. "Ah yes. A certain detective with a fondness for sticking his nose into just about everything possible."

"Unfortunately so. Which leads me to wonder why he had me disguise as you." Blackmailed was a bit more like it, but that was merely a case of details and semantics. KID was much more interested in getting some answers, especially since Tantei-kun had almost gotten him killed and this young woman in front of him was his best chance of getting any sort of truth, especially since he knew Kudo was never going to tell him.

The reasoning behind Conan's plan was ultimately to protect her from both Bourbon and Vermouth, as well as to throw the Black Organization off her trail. But she couldn't say that. Even if she didn't know KID, the last thing she wanted was to get any other people involved with the Organization.
"... He had his reasons."

He paused, the flower in his hand stilling as he contemplates the young woman in front of him, "Although, if I were a detective, I would deduce that whatever it is that the two of you are involved in is dangerous." Which, honestly, doesn't surprise him much. "I would also deduce that you are the direct reason for my part in it, in that Tantei-kun needed me to help convince that guy who tried to blow me up that you are currently among the deceased. Or greatly injured."
He sighs, shaking his head dramatically. "Honestly, why can't anyone ever directly ask for help these days anymore?"

It wasn't until a minute of silence had passed after he had asked his question that she answered him, stating simply, "I'm sorry you were dragged into it."
A sincere apology. How rare.
She nodded her head then before continuing. "Yes, you would be correct in your deduction. It's important that I am dead in their eyes, otherwise they would have continued to hunt me down, thus putting those who are close to me at risk." The organization didn't stop at taking her family from her. It was only the beginning in that regard. "Edogawa-kun had to act quickly on that train and it was poor luck that you were pulled into his plan."

Their debts were even now? Hmph. Not likely.
"Secrets, intrigue and plots. This world is not much different then our own, is it?" KID's voice was somewhat musing, somewhat whimsical. He understood where she was coming from after all, he too had a 'they'. He had no doubt that if Snake and his cronies finally realized that Toichi Kuroba was truly dead, then they would set their sights on the next most obvious candidate for Kaitou KID - his son. KID knew beyond a doubt that his mother could take care of herself, Chikage was still the Phantom Lady after all, retired she might be, but that didn't keep him from worrying about Jii-chan, or about Nakamori-keibu, his classmates, hell, even Hakuba and Akako. And Aoko... Aoko hated KID with a passion, had no idea he was her best friend and if he, even inadvertently, did something that could cause her unimagined harm, it would devastate him. And he knew it.
"Did it work?"
