[ She brightens up almost immediately seeing him, though she doesn't wait long for an invitation inside, stepping past him and patting his shoulder along the way. ]

Wanted to see what you've been up to. And your secret warehouse.

[ Glancing up and down the walls, she realizes she has to ask: ] Is it a secret? I actually can't remember.

Oh, same old same old. But the Bug's coming along! Or at least the engine is.

[There's a shrug.]/ Kind of? I mean, I don't mind if people know, but Bruce might.

That's amazing to hear. How long before you have it up and running?

[ Just like Ted to be on the ball. For as much grief as they gave him in their younger days, even leading up till his death, Peej always did feel Ted had been the mature one of the Blue and Gold duo. ]

Maybe three months? I don't know, I still gotta get all the big pieces together. But it's good to have a little bit of her here, at least.

[ She pats his shoulder, a slight grin on her face. ]

That's really incredible.

So, you going to give me the tour?

[ When is the last time they ever got to hang out like this? ]

Well, yeah, but there's not a whole lot to look at. [It's mostly a lot of piles, really. He's had his stuff moved in here for a while, he just hasn't really had time to get it all straightened out yet.]

I guess I could show you the plans and all.

[boobwindow]

Well, why not?

[ She does pause anyway, looking around uncertainly for a second. ]

I'm not interrupting anything, am I?

Nah, I just haven't had time to get everything properly straightened out yet. [Right now it looks like madness, but it's clear there's some method to it. Eventually he will have it organized to a tee, but he's waiting until he gets a lot of the bigger pieces out of the way.]

So. [He rummages for a moment, digs out the plans with a flourish.] Here's the new, sort of improved, weird 1950s Bug.

[ That elicits a small, warm smile from her. ]

Getting with the times, huh?

[ She reaches a hand out to touch the paper, fingers tracing over the intricate details and notes. All of it is without a doubt Ted Kord's work. The longer he's been dead, the more time she's had time to reflect about how Ted was a genius that maybe they didn't always give him credit for. ]

Is this all you've been doing? How have you been anyway?

Trying to, it took a little tweaking.

[He's grinning as she does that, the grin of a proud daddy showing off his baby.]

Pretty much, that and doing the car thing. Helping one of my roommates build a spaceship for Bruce. I've been -- good, I guess? Keeping busy, anyway. Hanging around with Booster and stuff.

...It's Bruce. He probably has some creepy Bat-plans for it, I don't know.

I hope he realizes the government also takes issue with us leaving the planet.
