WHAT: Earlier in the afternoon, there will be base-jumping in elf costumes. Later on is the charity silent date auction and different performances by USA celebrities fundraising for charity this holiday season. OOC information post here.

[ BASE JUMPING from TARTARUS TOWER ]
For those imPorts who volunteered to jump from Tartarus Tower, arrivals for fittings into their costumes begins at 2:00 PM sharp. Each costume comes with a name-tag attached, and make-up artists are on hand to help affix elf ears to participants and work on their eye make-up for the ease of the cameras catching all this live.

The jumps will start at 4:00 PM, and after all imPort elves have jumped and successfully reached the ground, they'll join the bus transporting presents and Malik to the De Chima children's hospital to deliver gifts to the children in the cancer ward (and elsewhere). ImPorts will then be transported over to the main facilities for the fundraiser event as a whole, invited to attend the Silent Date Auction as well as listen to any of the various performances occurring over the course of the evening.

[ CHARITY SILENT DATE AUCTION in DE CHIMA ]
Starting at 4:00 PM, the doors to the conference hall made available for the ImPort Charity Silent Date Auction will open. Live music will be provided, along with refreshments and catered hor d'oeuvres, and televisons displaying both the news stories and live coverage of the fundraiser events occurring over the course of the evening. ImPorts will be encouraged to attend any of these performances in person, but will not be required to leave the conference hall unless they wish to do so.

There is lounge seating available, and free wireless throughout the building. Different conference halls are hosting different events in this event center, and the largest productions are happening on a built stage outside. There's a massive lit tree in the central front courtyard of the event center, and many small stands selling hot drinks, good foods, and wares outside by the stage and surrounding streets, all with a portion of proceeds going to various named charities.

Auction Threads can be threaded in, but initial comments to those threads should be the bids that a character is placing on someone else (or themselves). Bidding will close OOCly by this time next week (or when a player states bidding is closed on their character - send me a PM to close that thread, or comment to close it on your own). ICly, all bids close at the end of the night.

He turns to her to see her response to the question, head slightly tilted as he seems to calm down slightly from the initial flushed flail of the idea of Winry on a date.]

[Okay, Winry is kind of nervous tonight, and spicy food might upset her stomach.]

[Ed is well aware he probably eats a bit much. A bit more than Winry or most others given he's theoretically still also eating for Alphonse too. It's not long before he returns with a plate for her however, with less than what is on his own, handing it to her.]

Not like I don't get the idea behind this. I do. I just don't see why it needs to be.....dates.

[Winry accepts the plate gratefully - oh, look, some fruit and cheese, as well as some chicken wings cut up so they're drumsticks.]

[For people looking at a relationship. At least, from Ed's opinion. Unless they are stupid womanizers like the Colonel, because of course he has no idea they are actually the girls working with his foster mother he's seen Roy with. He's thus a little put out even as he munches at the food on his own plate.]

[That and like hell he's letting the likes of Kimblee anywhere near if he can help it. But that's as far as he gets in attempting to explain himself for the time being.]

Oh, I see. [She does. But it's still kind of fun to tease Ed.]

[Surely if that were the case, Ed would know if she did have someone in mind, right? And he'd then have to meet and hopefully not literally interrogate the poor guy. Oblivious to the truth there that she has him in mind, of course.]

[He really hasn't thought much about this stuff beyond his obvious reaction at Hawkeye asking if he loved Winry. He knows he cares for her, and that this whole dating thing has him worked up but whether this protectiveness is because he wants to be the one with her or it is just him wanting to look out for her he can't quite figure right now.]

Y-yeah. I know that. I mean we're only sixteen, so.....lots of time for that stuff, once we get back from the Promised Day back home.

[Winry nods her agreement. She knows how she feels about Ed, has come to that conclusion some time ago. But she also understands why he'd want to wait. And he hadn't spoken to Mr. Mustang, she guessed...she didn't know if she survived the Promised Day.]

[He hasn't talked to Roy yet, not wanting to hear if it is true and his superior simply neglected to mention that. Preferring to assume it all works out because if it were otherwise surely someone would have mentioned something. Not everyone was at the center of the circle and they seem fine.]

[And there were people who'd been here a long time, Winry knew. Long enough to have thriving businesses, for example. But she doesn't say that to Ed, because his main goal has always been getting Al and his bodies back to normal. Even separated, Ed's thoughts are probably still focused on how to get back home and help Al. Winry understands. Al has a deadline, after all.]

I guess it doesn't matter, does it? We won't remember anything when we go back.

Well, no. We won't, so we're told. But we don't know how long we're gonna be stuck here so we might as well just....keep moving forward.

[However that happens and whenever it does. He's still trying to figure things out with what to really do here, but he keeps himself busy to say the least. Ed's just never really given his friendships and relationships much thought in regards to making the most of things while he is here. So focused on Al. The fact he succeeds. If only he could properly experience that.]

[He asks, finishing his food and putting the paper plate in the rubbish nearby as he follows her. He just doesn't want her to be late if she needs to be somewhere, after all.]
