Gladion Catch-All + Feywild weirdness

WHO: Gladion & anyone (open)
WHERE: around the porter cities. Specifically Maurtia Falls & Heropa. But open to anywhere.
WHEN: during the month of may (who needs time, really?)
WHAT: catch-all, feywild event shenanigans as well
WARNINGS: alcohol mention (no drunkenness, but will update as needed).


May has come and Gladion can be found around any of the cities doing various things.

Between May 4th - May 8th, Gladion will be reverted back to a child for this (around age ten), while retaining all of his memories and thank Arceus his pokemon will be unaffected by this age down. However, he himself will be thoroughly unamused by all of this happening. He may start a fight, he may not, it depends on who you are and what you do or say to him. He shouldn’t be too much of a threat to anyone.

Between May 9th - May 14th, Gladion will be aged up to an adult (roughly around 25 or so) looking like an attractive man who semi resembles his mother in appearance with longer hair, only with a bit more of an attitude and not as much of those nasty little things she did. His attitude is a bit more mature and he’s less likely to start a fight with someone, although he still will get confrontational depending on who exactly it is depending on who he’s gotten to know.

With May 15th onwards, Gladion will revert back to normal in both size and correct age. He’ll be both confused and mildly irritated due to the age jumping, especially with having become older and seeing that he’s taking a bit after his mother in appearances.

[archie's watching golbat too-- similarly proud of how it manages to right itself without any harm. he remembers when it crash-landed on the beach, all wing and mouth and screeching. crobat seems to be on the same wavelength; it chitters something that sounds very positive to golbat.]

I reckon he's still close to evolvin'. Dunno when, but... well, you know how evolutions go. Have you been giving him the attention?

[He nods again, watching Golbat flit around and chattering back to Crobat with an... elated bat expression? It seems enough of that to Gladion at least, Golbat's in a good mood, that's what matters here.]

You think so? His flying is... well it seems almost flawless now compared to a few months ago, so you might be right. Yeah, he's been making Umbreon jealous with the attention he's gotten lately.

[The "accusation" of jealousy makes Umbreon let out a pathetic whine in defense of himself for being called out, not liking that his trainer would dare to do such a thing to him!]

They're both friendship evolutions, bro. You gotta be expectin' this!

I wasn't expecting Umbreon out of everyone to be so... huffy about it. Or pout enough that he seemed to use Rain Dance with all of his moping around and jealous looks. But.. guess you're right, I'd get jealous too if my best friend got clung to by someone else all of a sudden and seemed to take my time away from them.

[cue the dark type sulking after another pathetic whine. He wasn't going to let his trainer get away with this humiliation!]

This is the hard part that a lot of trainers don't know about. They usually only have one friendship evolution.

[archie himself has crobat but sharpedo mega-evolving... kind of counts?]

You gotta make sure they can work in harmony when he's evolved, instead of always competing.

[three, but he hasn't found that out about Null... yet.]

I mean... they've always worked well together before this, and they don't seem to fight? I see Umbreon curled up with him still, he's probably more mad at me than Golbat for the attention shift. [a pause and then,] That should be watched after he evolves, shouldn't it?

That's right. But-- [he holds a hand up.] Ya still gotta be honestly with Umbreon. Tell it that Crobat'll need help settlin' into its new form, so more attention with it is inevitable. It'll even out, after a time.

[He nods, the looks back to Umbreon, and then to Golbat up in the air.]

I see. At least Null could help break up any bickering. How long did Crobat take with you to settle in?

[he trails off at that, suddenly frosty. crobat had evolved when he was doing his kyogre bullshit...]

Never mind. They're all different, they'll all take a different amount of time.

A good time to evolve with it swooping back down?

Oh, I see. But hopefully it won't be too long to settle in.

[Before much else could be said, Golbat starts to swoop down and before he seems like he's about to crash into Archie in particular, he stops right above him and chitters happily to Crobat above.]

That's the first time I've seen him not crash directly, even with trying to stop. How he's chittering makes it seems like it wasn't his idea to do that, with how prideful he's sounding.
