Gladion Catch-All + Feywild weirdness

WHO: Gladion & anyone (open)
WHERE: around the porter cities. Specifically Maurtia Falls & Heropa. But open to anywhere.
WHEN: during the month of may (who needs time, really?)
WHAT: catch-all, feywild event shenanigans as well
WARNINGS: alcohol mention (no drunkenness, but will update as needed).


May has come and Gladion can be found around any of the cities doing various things.

Between May 4th - May 8th, Gladion will be reverted back to a child for this (around age ten), while retaining all of his memories and thank Arceus his pokemon will be unaffected by this age down. However, he himself will be thoroughly unamused by all of this happening. He may start a fight, he may not, it depends on who you are and what you do or say to him. He shouldn’t be too much of a threat to anyone.

Between May 9th - May 14th, Gladion will be aged up to an adult (roughly around 25 or so) looking like an attractive man who semi resembles his mother in appearance with longer hair, only with a bit more of an attitude and not as much of those nasty little things she did. His attitude is a bit more mature and he’s less likely to start a fight with someone, although he still will get confrontational depending on who exactly it is depending on who he’s gotten to know.

With May 15th onwards, Gladion will revert back to normal in both size and correct age. He’ll be both confused and mildly irritated due to the age jumping, especially with having become older and seeing that he’s taking a bit after his mother in appearances.

Specific prompts in their own top levels, but any are free to create their own TL, especially for the event or even after! [In his surprise he doesn't even respond to who's talking to him for a while until Umbreon bumps him, which makes him stumble a bit since he was too busy staring at the horse, and... Tina? Her voice sounds like Tina but she doesn't look like Tina, but her voice couldn't be coming from the actual horse itself.

The poor boy is so confused that his brain is having a hard time putting it together until he realises he's been staring without saying anything for a while.]

T-T-Tina? Is that really you?

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina almost says something to fill in the awkward pause, but she stops; she realizes this must be a lot to take in, after all. So she patiently waits for Gladion to speak.]

Uh-huh. I woke up like this, but... you're younger now. I wonder what's going on? Usually when something like this happens, people who experience it all have the same thing happen to them...

So did I, I woke up looking like how I did when I was ten. Thankfully Umbreon and the others are unaffected, I know Umbreon wouldn't be happy to have found himself younger and clumsier from when he was five years ago.

[At the mention of him as an Eevee all those years ago and indeed clumsier, Umbreon drops his ears and looks comically annoyed while letting out an ashamed yet mildly annoyed "Breeeee" at Gladion for even deigning to bring that up. How embarrassing.

Gladion laughs at his pokemon's reaction and then shakes his head at the question of what's going on.] I... don't know. It's frustrating being like this, some of the locals even seem affected by it by thinking it's normal. [a pause, then.] You mean this has happened before?

[continuousgroaning]

I'm glad your Pokemon are here to look after you, then, at least.

[Tina smiles and holds her hoof-hand out for Umbreon to smell before she tries to pet him.]

Yeah, except when it happened to me I ended up about 10 years older. Some people were younger, but it was still the same basic effect- we were all the wrong age. Now you're a young kid, and I'm a horse woman.

[This is a lot to take in, so much so that he doesn't even attempt to question it. Not with this world's craziness and everything going on at once and happening strangely all the time. He's... sort of gotten used to it, bizarrely enough. Still strange but... liveable now.

Umbreon, in his pouting, sniffs Tina's hand. Yup, it's still Tina alright, even with her voice being the same from the horse-lady, but the scent adds up that it's her. He affectionately purrs at the hoof-hand and tries to rub his face at it as best he can.]

I'm beginning to think this world is always throwing us into some sort of weirdness... last month didn't seem too weird aside from the monster plant that I heard about, but everything else has just been... too strange.

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina gently strokes Umbreon's head; the Pokemon's affirmation that this is indeed Tina seems to get through to Jake as well, and he relaxes, approaching the group closer with a soft whicker.]

It's making me wonder what's behind it. Did someone arrive with a new power that's going haywire? Or are peoples' nanites glitching again? ... Either way, I kinda like being a horse and I hope it never wears off.

[Umbreon leans even more into the pets, loving the attention. Even getting some, albeit strange and unintended, scritches from those strange goof hands! He could stay like this forever, and he curiously looks at Jake with a contented look before going back and soaking up the attention from Tina.

Gladion would have called the dark type a traitor for this, but more important things were on his mind. Namely the puzzling statement Tina makes about never wanting it to wear off.]

I wonder what it is too... I wouldn't put it past anything to have happened. But... you'd want to stay that way forever?

[continuousgroaning]

Well... maybe forever is a bit of a long time. The hooves are neat, but I think the novelty will wear off soon. ... that and... people keep staring at me. But it's kinda cool to turn into something I've admired for a long time. Even if I'm not 100% horse.

Forever seems like it would be too long if you ask me. The people staring are making me mad, and no one takes it seriously when you look like this, like a kid

No, I don't imagine they do. Is there anything I can do to help? I know you're not ACTUALLY little, but I have experience with younger kids.

No, they don't, not at all.

[He cracks a grin, with an answer that's only semi serious.] You.. could help me fight them off? No... I don't think that would actually work with us like this, they'd only chase after us I'd think.

[continuousgroaning]

Hey, that I can do. At least drive people off when they bother you. Oh, oh, or even better, politely remind them of their manners. That's sometimes enough to shame people into behaving.

Th-thank you Tina. [He snickers and then shakes his head, remembering when Wicke did the same to him when he misbehaved.] That's... true. But if they don't then Umbreon could chase them off, or Sneasel.

[Sneasel would actually cause harm, bad idea.]

That's true, they could. Pokemon are so, so good to have around. They'll make sure nobody bothers you. But if you want a big sister around, I'll gladly fill in.
