Gladion Catch-All + Feywild weirdness

WHO: Gladion & anyone (open)
WHERE: around the porter cities. Specifically Maurtia Falls & Heropa. But open to anywhere.
WHEN: during the month of may (who needs time, really?)
WHAT: catch-all, feywild event shenanigans as well
WARNINGS: alcohol mention (no drunkenness, but will update as needed).


May has come and Gladion can be found around any of the cities doing various things.

Between May 4th - May 8th, Gladion will be reverted back to a child for this (around age ten), while retaining all of his memories and thank Arceus his pokemon will be unaffected by this age down. However, he himself will be thoroughly unamused by all of this happening. He may start a fight, he may not, it depends on who you are and what you do or say to him. He shouldn’t be too much of a threat to anyone.

Between May 9th - May 14th, Gladion will be aged up to an adult (roughly around 25 or so) looking like an attractive man who semi resembles his mother in appearance with longer hair, only with a bit more of an attitude and not as much of those nasty little things she did. His attitude is a bit more mature and he’s less likely to start a fight with someone, although he still will get confrontational depending on who exactly it is depending on who he’s gotten to know.

With May 15th onwards, Gladion will revert back to normal in both size and correct age. He’ll be both confused and mildly irritated due to the age jumping, especially with having become older and seeing that he’s taking a bit after his mother in appearances.

Specific prompts in their own top levels, but any are free to create their own TL, especially for the event or even after! There's a lot of differences with the worlds we're from, but I imagine that your world shares more similarities than my own with this one.

[to say Gladion's was anything similar to this place would be absolutely incorrect, it was jarringly different and the history was nothing he himself had known at all.

Though when Gladion had reached for a book and Nashir did as well, both of them apparently reaching for the same one, Gladion let out a very soft smile and nodded his head.]

[Nashir's touch tickles, but he lets Nashir get it out of his system. Something like this is sure to be a shock and he's in a pleasantly good mood today so it's not bothering him.]

[archie's watching golbat too-- similarly proud of how it manages to right itself without any harm. he remembers when it crash-landed on the beach, all wing and mouth and screeching. crobat seems to be on the same wavelength; it chitters something that sounds very positive to golbat.]

I reckon he's still close to evolvin'. Dunno when, but... well, you know how evolutions go. Have you been giving him the attention?

While the flailing and kicking may have stopped, the whimpering and grunting sure hasn't; he can't see who's coming up behind him like this! What if he's in danger?

...But what if he's not? The little titter from Umbreon works like a spell, and Martin's legs slowly slide down into a sploot in the dirt.

"But I'm stuck," he insists miserably. "I'm stuck and small and my feet look weird...!"

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina gently strokes Umbreon's head; the Pokemon's affirmation that this is indeed Tina seems to get through to Jake as well, and he relaxes, approaching the group closer with a soft whicker.]

It's making me wonder what's behind it. Did someone arrive with a new power that's going haywire? Or are peoples' nanites glitching again? ... Either way, I kinda like being a horse and I hope it never wears off.

Ah, is he yours? [There's another odd-looking creature next to the boy, this one looking pretty grouchy... either about being on the leash, or just being really intense about its ice-cube noshing. Maybe both.

But if this one is friendly, Fuu will have no further hesitation about petting him. She may not own a pet herself, but she adores other people's.] Well, you can never have too many pets, can you?

"Ah, good," Jingyi says, still staring skyward. He just needs to be on the ground a little. Null was, perhaps, a better landing than straight into the ground but. Wheeze. "Ah, I think I am a little lighter like this or that might have been much worse."

He peels himself up off the grass into a sitting position and blinks at Gladion for a moment, dazed. He then thanks Umbreon politely for his sword and Null for the landing. Carefully sheathing his sword, he grins at Gladion's laughter and says, "What did they want with you this time? And why are you little? How old are you?"

Of course, he asks this as if he is not himself shrunken and followed by music.

[ Oh. OH, poor Gladion. kaneki doesn't want to look TOO amused, but it's a bit amusing, and at the same time really weird. Kaneki turns to the man once again to let him know he knows this "child" and he will take care of him, apologizes that Gladion was so mad, but he will handle this from here on.

(or so he hopes)

When the man finally leaves, kaneki turns back to Gladion, offering him a small smile ]

I'm sorry, this is a bit unexpected... [ he had no idea magic could just change people's ages like that, here! ]

Adam blinks, looking up and down the street, looking for anyone who might be searching for the young boy. While he has his own ways to deal with imPort fans and reporters and vloggers and the like, they're still a nuisance. Just recently, someone got really hurt trying to get away from some...

"Coast's clear." He says, slightly quieter, facing Gladion again. "I can help keep them off you, if you'd like. If you're going anywhere."

Obviously none of this is normal... I'm 15 but look like I'm ten.

[He shoves his hand into a pocket, pulling out a red wallet and flips it open to show his ID; which shows his name, photograph of his actual aged self, and birthdate of the first of september of whatever year equivalent this world's is to his own. Showing that, in fact, he is the age he says.]

[Umbreon leans even more into the pets, loving the attention. Even getting some, albeit strange and unintended, scritches from those strange goof hands! He could stay like this forever, and he curiously looks at Jake with a contented look before going back and soaking up the attention from Tina.

Gladion would have called the dark type a traitor for this, but more important things were on his mind. Namely the puzzling statement Tina makes about never wanting it to wear off.]

I wonder what it is too... I wouldn't put it past anything to have happened. But... you'd want to stay that way forever?

I don't HAVE an older brother. I have a little sister, but I do not have an older sibling! If I did, I... [he immediately shuts up before he goes on a tirade about his mother. Absolutely not the time nor is it the place.]

As if I would go to the trouble of getting a fake ID, I'm not my boss who would.

[David shrugs.]

"Null's sturdy enough to take a beating even..." He pauses for a moment, before realising completely that Jingyi in fact is not the size he should be. "...even if you were your actual size."

He shakes his head with a small huff, staring upwards before plopping himself down into a sitting position as he answers. "They've been hounding me ever since they found out Lillie, my sister if you don't remember, arrived at the same time and that we're related. This time they were pestering me about being like this and then asking what Lillie would think about it!" His words have some anger bite to them, but leave just as quickly.

Null sits in the grass and Gladion leans back, as Umbreon shifts to be within petting distance of both of them. "Dunno why, but it was probably some crazy magic, and it looks like I'm ten from my height and looks. Why are you small?"

[nevermind the fact that both of them when they were their actual ages briefly spoke once, but not enough for Gladion to remember enough of that to recognise, if he could, the detective he'd spoken with. This guy was completely different anyway and small child that he was right now was ready to pick a fight.]

[Oh he sees the amusement, he's not oblivious or pissy enough in the moment to not be paying attention. However, fortune must be favouring Kaneki right now that he does not start outright bitching. At least not with the others around to keep causing a stink.

Kaneki's small smile instead makes Gladion's head drop as he stares at the ground, a bit defeated and pouting. By Arceus he hates this.]

It's fine.. [he looks up after a second, manners kicking in to look at someone when spoken to.] You don't seem to be affected by this though, so is this just affecting some of us and not everyone?

[David doesn't remember any of his normal future life right now so thinks he's a total stranger.]

[There's a bit of a smirk; slightly mocking.]

He glares even more at David, hand going to his belt of Pokeballs. That's it, this jerk's attitude is pissing him off.]

You sound like an asshole. [Vulgar words for a "child", and the shopkeeper gasps at the language and says something about it, but Gladion cares little for the lecture. No, he's too focused on the teenager in front of him.]

[David's gaze flicks toward the shopkeeper then back to Gladion. His hands go into his pockets, where there's a slight rustling sound of the things he'd stolen. Better not hang around.]

And you sound like a whiny ten year old who's trying to act tough.

[He retorts, smirks and shrugs as he heads for the door. He wouldn't be surprised if he was followed. As long as the shopkeeper stays where they were.]

Well... maybe forever is a bit of a long time. The hooves are neat, but I think the novelty will wear off soon. ... that and... people keep staring at me. But it's kinda cool to turn into something I've admired for a long time. Even if I'm not 100% horse.
