Heropa

[ New world, new place? Just another day for Dani. She wished stuff like this would stop happening to her already, but she knew it didn't work that way. She had not been here for very long, but after getting what info she could from whoever the hell was in charge of this place and then being shoved off on her own afterwards, she decided explore around a bit, hoping to find some of her own kind here or maybe other friends she made a long the way. Either way she was looking for her people and others who could help her out.

She most likely would be wandering the streets and park asking people if they could tell her more about the city. She wanted answers. Or she could also be found sitting down somewhere playing with her handy dandy knife because she was just that bored. Or just knock her down or something idc. ]

Maurtia Falls

[ During the day time, Maurtia Falls seemed like a nice quiet, quaint city, but at night time that proved to be rather incorrect. Crime-wise it reminded Dani of just about any other large bustling city (not as bad as New York, but still somewhat up there) and now she regretted taking a walk around outside in the dark. Not because she was worried and she couldn't take care of herself -- quite the opposite, actually -- but because the people out and about at this hour were annoying and really starting to grate on her nerves the more she got pestered. The card sharks and dealers were relentless and Dani was half-tempted to just shove them to the ground, but she was an X-Man, she wouldn't do that. Not yet, anyway.

She could only sigh and pinch the bridge of her nose. Ugh. ]

Oh for the love of... I already said no. [ More bugging here. ] Yes I think it would be better if you moved along somewhere else. In that direction.

[ Why were these people like this? ]

Dani, I know I don't have the tolerance of Logan, but I think I can handle two beers.

[ he crosses his arms. ]

Anyway, if I was gonna have another I'd be at a bar, but I heard you were here. Am I gonna get a hug or what?

Alright, Scott... point taken.

[ Thank the spirits he's sober, she can reel it back a bit now. Her expression does soften up at this moment, since she is glad to see yet another X-Man around -- and her leader, at that (or, well former leader). Unlike someone of the others that are already here, she isn't mad at him. She understands their frustration...but yeah, that's for another time. ]

And you might have earned one. [ She's only kidding around, the stupid small grin on her face says as much. Dani does indeed give him a quick friendly hug. ] How long have you been here?

Got here not too long before you did.

[ he responds as they pull away from the hug. ]

Just to put my mind at ease, what's the last thing you remember? The two of us are good, right.

What? Why wouldn't we?

[ Then again, weird time shenanigans... it's a reasonable question for him to ask. ]

I remember being home in Krakoa. I also remember that me and my friends went into space...

[ And stuff happened, but she kind of trails off instead of saying that. ]

Well, I just had a conversation with Josh and David that didn't go swimmingly, so...

[ just thinking about it makes him want another beer. ]

But it looks like we're from the same point in time. Krakoa.

They don't know about Krakoa yet. And if they're mad about what I think they're mad about...

[ She trails off again, sighing and shaking her head. She understands it and she's not going tell them to stop feeling the way they're feeling, but still, having her family fight like this is pretty sucky. ]

Just give them some time. They'll come around eventually.

[ Maybe. And that's a VERY big maybe. ]

I'm not so sure about that, but they'll definitely be glad to see you, at least.

[ it was no secret that of the two of them, dani was far better liked than he was. ]

No. I said a long time ago that I know what I did and I deserve whatever's coming to me. They deserve to feel what they feel. If they decide to change their mind later on, well, that's their choice, not mine.

I know. I'm not trying to get them to change their minds. But I still like seeing my family split up like this.

As long as their angry with the actions I've taken in the past, I don't think they'll want much to do with me, Dani.

[ his mouth is a tight line, brow furrowed, though it's hard to tell unless you know him personally. why can't they come from the time after they all decide to set their differences aside and go with a new beginning for everyone? ]

I... appreciate it, though.

[ Yeah, she figures as much. And as much as she wants to say something comforting, something reassuring... she's not sure what she can say. So instead she points, with her thumb, in some random direction down the sidewalk. ]
