WHO: Fuu Hououji and you!
WHERE: Around!
WHEN: September
WHAT: An open log + some prompts
WARNINGS: None but what you bring with you.
Heropa (heropen)
[Tanabata, kryptonite, fae, horrifying interdimensional abominations... it's been a busy few weeks on parallel Earth. Fuu had been hoping for a less chaotic few days after that.
Maybe she will get that... but not yet, because Hikaru isn't here anymore. Fuu meanders around, easily found in the park (possibly practicing her archery), or at a bookstore or along one of the storefront streets. Or you might find her at her favorite sushi restaurant, more interested than usual in having a taste of home.]
Castles & Chimerae (open)
[Fuu is at the Two-Dimensional Adventureporium this afternoon, ready for an open session. It's a simple one-session adventure that she hopes will draw in new players for a longer campaign.
Today, the scenario is based on Robin Hood--in fact, players will take the part of a Jolly Man in the band of Sparrow Cowl, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor in the forest. Simple, right?]
Welcome! Are you ready for adventure?

meeting the gremlin boy (for Marty)
She's heading for the Endeavor Center today, though, as she's curious about it and hasn't been there before. Fuu's often thought that the minors brough to this Earth need more formal support than what's generally provided them.]

he hesitates just shy of the fence line as he sees it's landed just shy of the girl approaching, feeling uncertain of how to approach this. he was just going to climb the fence and grab it, but...would that bother her?]
Um...sorry, uh...
no subject
[She picks up the ball and tosses it gently over the fence.]
My name is Fuu. What's yours?
no subject
her hair is very short and fluffy. kind of like Haru's.]
...Martin. Hello. Sorry for-- [he grimaces.] Well, it...didn't hit you, so...
no subject
[she knows that most people her age don't like being addressed with such formality, but it's too ingrained a habit.]
It wouldn't be Martin Darkov, would it?

Helix Training Centre (for Allura)
So it's not a surprised she's asked one of her Aegis housemates about it, and as a result is now at the Helix training center with Allura. Which, right now, is a large empty room.]
So how is it that you train in here, Allura-san?
no subject
[She explains this while walking up to the control panel and starting to play with the options. As she does, the room starts to 'fill in' around them, like a video game loading in models and textures.]
It can simulate everything, including the opponents... although honestly, I find the setting options more interesting. [Right now, it's on an aquatic setting, as if they were standing at the bottom of the ocean.] Where would you like to go?
no subject
She marvels at the undersea landscape for a moment, which is rather like a game she's played recently. There's something about being underwater that is enchanting, alien, yet not--and familiar, now she remembers. But Allura's question brings her back to the present.]
Goodness, the tyranny of choice... [She taps her fingers against her cheek as she considers all the places in the world. For a moment she thinks of a place from Japan, but this room's purpose for battle training puts her off a bit--Himeji Castle, for instance, deserves its retirement from warfare.]
Well, it's hard to beat the ocean... but what about a time? The world before humans arose, perhaps.
Birdbot (for Wolfwood)
[Hikaru's absence is wearing on Fuu. Fuu is aware that the standard waiting time is about a week, and that others have been away for two or three--or for a year. And if Hikaru has gone back, to have time continue on? That is good. In fact, that's better. To have been torn from that, the worst moment of their lives, to the cold reception of the Porter facility is unimaginable. No, better for all that she's sent back, hopefully to experience the better things that came after.
Still, Fuu misses her, and she doesn't like waiting in limbo. That's why she's sitting on a beach that night--rather, she's sitting far above the beach, on Windam's shoulder. It's too dark for him to be all that noticeable as she takes in the waning summer evenings.]
no subject
Though there's also considerably more on the beach tonight. It looks like...a giant robot? A really giant robot.
Please don't tell him they're getting giant robots from other worlds, after that space station that replaced the moon, and the rocks, and all the weird monsters...
He tries to approach it carefully, keeping some dunes between himself and it. But is that someone sitting on it?]
...Curly? [Sorry Fuu you've already been nicknamed.]
no subject
And the familiarity of the voice becomes apparent when she sees the figure on the sand. Although there's not much light to see by, the word gawking still springs to mind.]
Oh--Mr. Wolfwood? [now what is the American phrase? "play it cool." well, she does that anyway.] I see you're also enjoying the last of the summer evenings.
no subject
Yeah. [You're sitting on a giant robot.] ...Is that yours?
no subject
In a manner of speaking. [She keeps one hand on Windam.] Windam is... a guardian, of sorts. We fight together when there's need for it.

castles & chimera
Back home, he still has an unfinished quest of his own - and even though the sheets are meant to be fun, he can't help feeling a little uneasy.
Not that he's going to say so. Part of his appearance is to draw in other locals for that 'imPort experience,' and part of it is to be a good friend for Fuu. Nothing more, nothing less. So he puts on a smile, strumming an invisible lyre, ]
As ready as I'll ever be.
no subject
[Fuu smiles brightly. Having Lester here is good for business, and there's no denying that. In fact, the other people filtering in for tonight's session are looking quite decidedly at him rather than her as they sit down.]
The year is 1100, and the king has disappeared whilst invading a distant land (in an effort to purge his soul of the sin of invading slightly less distant lands). [Yes, you can hear the parentheses.] Taxes have skyrocketed, leading the noble Sparrow Cowl to start robbing the rich and giving back to the common folk.
You, a small band of his Jolly Men, are awaiting a tax caravan on the kingsroad. Their vanguard is approaching. What do you do?
no subject
He glances down at his character sheet. He's the bard; the one with words and music that can reshape reality, once he reaches a high enough level. The number 'one' has never, ever taunted him so much.
Another player, a rogue, asks about a spot check. Lester latches onto that - ]
I want a spot check too. Let's see if we can discern anything about the guards.
[ He rolls. It's a 4. His other party members aren't much better - 5, 7, 9, and a lone 15. ]
no subject
Lester-san, you can tell that is a very fine looking treasure wagon, and there are four guards. [She clears her throat for the player who rolled 15.] There are no rookies among the guards. They wear the crest of the Bailiff, and the wagon they guard bears the same crest. It's obviously full from this month's round of tax collection.
[One of the players, a girl who's playing a wizard, immediately declares that she casts Fireball at the lead guard. Fuu smiles and rolls a die.]
The guard falls back, injured. One of his comrades shouts "Harold! Are you all right?" and all three of them draw swords to attack.
Please roll for initiative.

Oh my stars, you have to hide me. The Earth authorities are here are so much less tolerant of "wacky hijinks" than the ones on my Earth.
no subject
Fuu looks over her shoulder, trying to be subtle about it, and then scans the street ahead to try and spot the authority figures.]
Is that so? [She repositions herself slightly in front of the discount book cart to provide more cover.] What would you describe as "wacky hijinks?"
no subject
[That's because there's no cops in Beach City.]
no subject
There are so many questions here, clearly. But to answer them, Fuu will have to escort her new companion inside before the police spot her and take her in.]
On this Earth, at least, it's customary to leave garbage disposals on the ground. [She motions for Peridot to walk ahead of her, back into the bookstore.] If I might ask... why did you find it necessary to throw one anywhere?

Heropa
She leaves the paved path she'd been walking, wandering over the lawn of the local park and towards Fuu's makeshift archery setup, maintaining a polite distance while the bow is drawn and released. When Fuu hits her target (quite a good shot, too!), Anthy claps. ]
You practice archery here? All alone? I was under the impression that the schools here didn't have clubs for it.
Re: Heropa
I learned at school back on my own Earth, in Japan. Though I'm sure there are a few schools in America with archery clubs, it doesn't seem as popular as team sports and chess. [She lowers the bow to have a more proper conversation.] I've met you before, haven't I? I'm sorry, but I don't think I managed to learn your name.
no subject
It's a pointless, aggravating thought. Anthy pushes it aside and smiles a little wider, her eyebrows tilting up in a slight sheepishness. ]
Oh, goodness. How rude of me. I'm Anthy Himemiya.
[ There's an accompanying bow, of course, a little lower than what's normal. Polite deference, you know! ]
no subject
It's a pleasure to meet you properly. It's good to see you in a more peaceful setting. I seem to remember that we were being attacked by robots on the moon last time.
[Which she says in a completely casual way. Because really, aren't hostile moon robots a casual day on this Earth?]
