[Cecelia pokes her head out of her room, ears straining to hear what's what downstairs. the distortion is...the tv? yes. tv's on. she disappears for a moment, then emerges fully with a little pink pouch clutched in one hand as she slinks down the stairs, leaning forward to peer down at who is currently watching, spotting...]

Darin? Oh--uh-- [slinking down some of the stairs.] You're not working right now?

[Darin was indeed 'watching' television. If you could really call it that. He's upside down on the couch, sweatpants clad legs hooking the back of the couch behind the knees, his bare feet and toes wiggling aimlessly (he desperately needs a pedicure). On the coffee table are spread a number of books and notepads and what appear to be MRI like scans and Darin is hanging off the couch cushion upside down, half listening to a talk show. It appears the guests are having a heated debate about Aegis and the Shieldbreakers.]

[But as was said before, Darin's only half listening as he doodles and makes notes in another notepad, occasionally tapping his pencil to his chin and doing a sit up to cross-reference one of the scans on the table. Then he's back to his upside-down position. Upon hearing his name, he does another sit-up.]

Oh, Cecelia? I'm taking a day off from the forge. Figured I could do some work from home. What's up? The television too loud?

Oh--you're...you're working. [or something. it looks busy, all this...business he's got going on here. can she really judge his state of dress? she studies in pajamas herself, so.]
