WHO: Kanan Jarrus and David Klein
WHERE: The Endeavor Center
WHEN: To...day?
WHAT: Some kids have gone missing. Kanan and David are gonna INVESTIGATE.
WARNINGS: Uhhhhhhh might talk about like... abuse or drugs or whatever.

Kanan hasn't been running the Endeavor Center for long, which means that not all the kids there trust him just yet. Which is fair - he's a new guy, to most of them, and an adult and authority figure, he's got to earn their trust.

Of course, it didn't take long for both the criminal gangs and the corrupt cops to show up, offering bribes if he would just ignore their blatant recruitment efforts, and worse. Standing up to them didn't make him any friends among those in power, but it put him in good stead with a number of the kids he's promised to protect.

So not all the kids trust him yet, but enough do that he's making headway, he thinks. And he's got a few who are good enough to help him out with certain things - being blind, he's got a few limitations, after all.

What's surprising is when one of his best helpers doesn't show up for the fourth day in a row.

"I dunno where she is, nobody's seen her since Saturday," another of the kids is telling him, and Kanan's got a deep frown on his face.

"She was with Vincent, I thought, but I haven't seen him since Saturday, either," another kid pipes up.

"Hm. Thanks for the info," he says, and turns to head back into the office that's become his.

"This... could be trouble."

David's been working evenings and weekends at the Endeavor center. Helping kids file for legal emancipation, helping them navigate the foster system and aging out- it isn't quite his area of expertise, and he has to admit, he's spent a lot of time in the library, but it's worth it.

There are other lessons, too. And it's bothering him that, for the fourth day in a row, one of his best students hasn't shown up.

Quietly, he knocks on Kanan's door, the tapping of his cane that follows his steps generally an indicator of who exactly is there.
"Mr. Jarrus, it's David. Have you seen Vincent around? He didn't come to his lesson today."
