WHO: Armitage Hux and YOU
WHERE: around De Chima
WHEN: August 7th-9th
WHAT: MURDER (and not murder things too, I guess)
WARNINGS: murder, violence, etc.
open-vicinity of menhit's bloodlust murder concert (MURDER)
[Unlike most of the others caught up in the frenzy, Hux looks almost calm. If it wasn't for the bloody knife in his hand which he tapped idly against his fingers and a red smear across one cheek, he looked perfectly controlled compared to the others who had allowed themselves to be caught up.
Those who encountered him would not fare well, he was in not a mood to show mercy. When he heard someone nearby, he paused, not glancing behind him.
Is there a reason you dare approach me?
open- de chima (non-murder option)
[Eventually he had to wash the blood off, making sure to get off every trace. It took some scrubbing under his fingernails but even though he didn't often get his hands dirty, this wasn't his first time doing this.
As entertaining as murder was, he had business to do, life still went on. He can be found around De Chima for work, doing errands. Even if there is something...off...he can at least keep his bloodlust in check for at least an afternoon.
Hopefully.]

I'll take non-murder for $100 please, Alex
This also involved talking to the people of the cities, both native and imPort alike. Laurel wanted to know if there was a need for what she had in mind so why not ask the people it could potentially impact?
Armed with a notepad and pen, she sets up finding people to speak to.
The first one being Hux. ]
Hi, excuse me. Can I have a few minutes of your time?
some non-murder coming right up! with a complimentary side of ginger
He eyed her pen and notepad, raising his eyebrows. He was aware that there was some election coming up but if there was some ImPort business the very least he could do was listen.]
What is it that you are petitioning for?
my favourite kind of side!
Oh no, it's not a petition. I'm hoping to set up a legal clinic in one of the porter cities and I want to find out if it's something that people would need. Moreover, which city would need it the most. Not that I'll discriminate against anyone, but some cities may already have a legal clinic or a law firm already and I don't want to step on their toes.
[A smile.]
Are you okay for me to continue?
yumm ginger
[This at least moderately piqued his interest since though he had a lawyer for some things, he wanted to make sure to have as many protections in place, just in case.
Not that he would mention that just yet- he would wait until she explained.]
Of course.

[ Looking out for others is ingrained in Laurel's nature. She doubts it would ever change. ]
Is that something you think you would be interested in? Maybe people that you know?
no subject
[It was always good to be prepared- he knew that he had enemies and if Dameron and his allies ever got smart then he would be ready.]
How qualified would these attorneys be? I cannot recommend a practice where the lawyers have just finished their training.
no subject
[ She says it with confidence, knowing how much experience she could offer. ]
I have over five years worth of working experience, including pro bono cases and more high profile cases as an Assistant District Attorney. I'm good at what I do.
no subject
[He had picked up enough knowledge about the government to figure out how things worked. Or basically, how the broken system functioned. Democracy was a strange mess.]
Your...dedication is admirable. What kind of cases did you work on?
MURRRRDERRRR
It's time that's seen to. So yes, he dares approach Hux, not noticing or not caring about the blood smeared across his face. He's in a right state. His starched shirt had been torn at the shoulder from the mosh pit crowd, and someone had kicked him, leaving a dirty shoe print across the front of his stomach. But he paid no mind to that. He was an android on a mission. Find Hux.
And when he does, he speaks not in the careful, cultured English accent that he's used for Hux before. No, he speaks confidently in his default Irish accent, voice louder than it's perhaps ever been. ]
You. You've never accepted me as a friend, have you? Not really.
MURDER FUN TIMES
He had never been able to be so open before- even in the First Order where everyone pretty much knew who he had arranged painful deaths for, he had never done anything so publically.
Liberating.
He was distracted by hearing Ash near him, raising an eyebrow as he turned to look at him.]
You're a droid. Did you honestly believe we were friends?
[It would be like hanging out with a mouse droid, just with more talking, in his view.]
the problem with this is I have no angry icons
[ He stomps forward to Hux, and once he gets within ten feet his Childproofing power activates, turning the knife in Hux's hands from sharp metal to a useless rubber. ]
I trusted you! I changed myself for you, even though others told me I shouldn't have to! That a real friend would accept me the way I am. But you were never a real friend, were you?
haha oh no
[He was rather amused at the whole thing. Droids were tools, resources. Even the nanny droid who raised him was just acting based on her programming.]
Of course, I'm not your friend. Did you just now realize this?
no subject
How dare you. How dare you?
[ Without any further thought, he rushed forward in an attempt to tackle Hux to the ground. ]

It took him a moment to gather his wits, grabbing onto Ash's arms tightly. Unlike the previous situation where he deactivated K2, he wasn't desperate and fighting for his life. After that, he had only practiced deactivating small electronic devices.]
Get off of me.
[Hfe let go of one of Ash's arm to put a hand over his face as he drew on his power like he did with K2. Hopefully it would work.]
no subject
[ He doesn't quite get to finish the question as he slumps over, now a dead weight leaning against Hux's body. ]
no subject
It took some shoving and effort to get Ash off of him. He was sore by the time he managed, finally rolling over to get free. He wrinkled his nose as he got up, dusting his hands on his pants. The floor was disgusting- he would need a long shower later to get the gunk off of him.
He looked down at Ash, not sure what to do with the body. He poked him with the tip of his boot, cautious. Right now, this was far too in the open and he didn't want to deal with questions. Rolling Ash over and out of sight too even more effort than he had expected, glaring at anyone who happened to look his way. No one dared to ask questions.
By the time Ash was out of sight, he had to take a moment to stretch. He was exhausted- even inspired bloodlust wasn't enough to keep his energy up after that.]
Good riddance. Stupid droid.
no subject
Thanks, Menhit. ]

[Ordinarily Dooku would not be so bold as to initiate a confrontation while he is missing a hand, an eye, and a weapon. These are not ordinary circumstances. Menhit's song surges within him, urging him onward toward vengeance.]
Did you truly believe you could betray me without consequence? You must have always known a reckoning would come.
no subject
[He turned with a smirk, raising his eyebrows as he noticed Dooku's eyepatch. He took a moment to look the other man over, nothing the missing hand as well. He was sure that despite the losses, Dooku was very dangerous. But with the power humming through him, he wasn't going to back down.
Especially not now.]
You should have expected me to betray you, especially after you rejected my promotion.
no subject
You are no Emperor. You are not even a General. And you were never worthy of being a Star.
[And he punctuates that point by stretching out his remaining hand to strike at Hux with lightning.]
no subject
[And really, if he had been thinking more clearly he should have expected the lightning. He had never seen Ren do anything like it and it hit him hard, forcing him to his knees.
But he had never been one to simply give up. Despite the pain, he grit his teeth as he lifted one hand, pulling on every bit of strength to call the fire to his palm.]
I will destroy you.
no subject
[The Count lets up on the lightning, and curls his hand into a fist instead, calling upon the darkness within him to squeeze Hux's throat as though in a cold vise.]
You were nothing before I recruited you to my cause. And you are nothing now!
no subject
Then he had been helpless, forced to concede to Ren's power.
But here he had alternatives. Now he could fight back against the Force. It took every bit of focus to gather a small ball of fire in one hand, letting his rage fuel his power.]
Stupid...old.....man...
[The fire grew even as he saw white spots at the edges of his vision. He was not going to give up without a fight. He could only hope that the fireball he released in Dooku's direction would hit its target as he fell to one knee, still straining for breath.]
no subject
Young... thoughtless... fool...
[Consciousness leaves him. Men his age do not handle oxygen deprivation well. He falls over, limply, passed out.]
no subject
The last thing he saw was Dooku falling to his knees. Any words were distant echoes and he couldn't put the sounds together.
The world went dark and he collapsed onto the ground with one last gasp.]
no subject
What... what nonsense is this?
no subject
There was some muffled laughter and he wrinkled his nose as he opened his eyes, frowning at the sound of Dooku's voice. He pried himself up with as much dignity he had left.]
What have you done now?
no subject
You.
[He points at Hux.]
This is all your fault.
no subject
[He wasn't hung over but his head still hurt and his throat burned. He felt sore all over and it took him a few moments to stand up to face Dooku.]
You just had to drag me down with you, didn't you?
no subject
You began this quarrel the moment you turned against me. Rest assured, this is only the beginning of the troubles I mean to inflict upon you.
no subject
[The comment was practically spat out as he glared at Dooku. He knew he was most likely just making matters worse but it didn't matter. He pulled himself to sit down, avoiding touching anyone. This was so gross, he would need a long shower later.]
Like what? Please, do enlighten me while we wait in this disgusting cell you got us in.
no subject
You will find out in due time, I assure you. Instead, why don't we pass the time by discussing the fate of that toy you were so proud of? Starkiller, I believe it was called.
no subject
Starkiller was still such a sore subject for him- that project had been most of his life and it had been taken away in a moment.]
That 'toy' did what you failed to do- it took down a Republic. It doesn't matter if it was destroyed, it did what it was supposed to do and we have the resources to build many more Starkillers...or anything else.
no subject
My movement split the Republic and cleared the way for it to be replaced by something better. You destroy when you should subvert, Hux. It is wasteful to eliminate what you could otherwise control. This weakness shall be your downfall.
no subject
[He sneered with obvious disdain. He had been born nearly 20 years after the end of the Clone Wars but he had learned enough from his lessons at the Academy and talked enough to Anakin Skywalker to piece together what happened.]
And do you really think we didn't control the Republic before it's destruction? Sometimes you have to start over, obliterate the rot before it spreads further.
no subject
[He smiles with arrogance, ignoring the reminder of his death.]
In a way, I am your creator.
no subject
No, he refused to concede anything to Dooku even if there was some truth in his words.]
If anyone created me, it's Sidious. I'm his heir, not yours.
no subject
Ah, but you never knew Lord Sidious personally, did you? He died before your time. Whereas I learned at his feet for over ten years. I knew his will and his power in a way you never could, and never will.
no subject
[If anyone knows what it feels like to be betrayed and cast aside, it's Hux. Father issues, what father issues?]
I know enough about him. He is the reason the First Order thrived- he gave us the resources before his death....and after.
no subject
[Including another apprentice in mind, as it turned out. Dooku steels his face, tries not to show how much the reminder of his death rankles.]
It is the way of things. Treachery is the way of the Sith. I only regret that I did not destroy him first. If I had, you would have been born and raised in a Galaxy shaped by my will.
no subject
[Granted, he had no idea what Palpatine was really picturing but he liked to think that he exceeded the former Emperor's expectations. He had no hero worship of Palpatine- he considered himself something more- someone greater.]
And what would that have looked like?
no subject
[Dooku sniffs, free to question his Master's judgement at last, here while he's safely in another universe.]
I would certainly never have sanctioned the destruction of Alderaan. A waste of culture, not to mention a clumsy act guaranteed to provoke further rebellion.
no subject
I agree with you about Alderaan. All it accomplished was giving the rebels a rallying point and made Leia Organa a martyr. It gave her more power.
He didn't cripple the Rebellion's supplies or resources- Alderann was hardly a military threat.
[A pause.]
When I destroyed the Hosnian System I carved the heart out of the Republic. Our strike took out their fleet, their leadership- the entire Senate was in session when Starkiller was fired.
