[Open] Maurtia Falls - Night Clubs

[ Inanna has been keeping a surprisingly low profile since their return to this world; an oddity that seems to be finally coming to an end. Bwitter has begun reporting sightings of the goddess at various night clubs throughout the city, and it's not exactly hard to catch them out for a night of revelry or to enjoy some local bands.

They've been avoiding VIP tables, choosing instead to sit amongst the other club goers which may not always be the best choice. Eager fans flock around them for attention and the chance of an invite back to their hotel suite, and Inanna is always happy to soak up the attention. It's not as good as the invigorating thrill that comes with a performance, but it will do for now. Unfortunately it does sometimes mean that paths through the club are blocked by clusters of fans hoping for a few minutes with the goddess—pretty annoying for anyone who just wants to party. ]

[ The growing attention Inanna has been getting on Bwitter means more attention from the media as well. They've been caught by a pair of photographers leaving a fashion boutique today, and they're having a grand time indulging them by posing with their bags and some new accessories they've picked up. And, when the photographers spot another imPort passing by, Inanna reaches out with a quick wave for attention— ]

Hello! Have a minute for a quick photo? I think we'd make their day.


[Open] Heropa - Lakefront

[ It isn't all basking in too much attention though. On some warm nights, Inanna can be spotted at one of Heropa's nearby lakes. There isn't any sunbathing to be done here, but there is a lot of time to just lounge in the quiet peace of the evening and enjoy the scenery laid out before them, occasionally taking a dip into the lake for a relaxing swim. ]

[ poor inanna is just minding their own damn business, and suddenly there's a handful of dogs thundering past them and flinging themselves with happy yips and barks into the water. one, a corgi, trots to a stop by inanna to shove his nose into their hand, panting happily.

a few moments later, a lanky figure practically radiating holiness and wearing shorts and a tank-top jogs up, bending to pluck the corgi up in bandaged hands. he's quite scarred, but what isn't scarred is freckled, and the smile he offers is small and shy and apologetic. sorry about the extremely excited dogs interrupting your peace and quiet, inanna. ]

[ Inanna does jump a little when the dogs race past, but it's hard to feel anything but amusement and delight once they realize what they're seeing. Who doesn't love watching a bunch of dogs having the time of their lives? The boy, however, draws a much more concerned sort of interest. Inanna leans forward where they're sitting, arms draped over their knees and just starting to tense with the intent to stand. ]

It's alright. [ It sounds like they mean it too, though the naturally sultry quality of their voice might be more distracting than the reassuring tone. ] It's a public lake, right?

[ josh leans in a little, glance dropping to inanna's mouth as they speak. it'd be flirty and forward if not for the fact that he's clearly concentrating. once inanna finishes, though, his glance flicks back up, doe-brown eyes warming as the dog in his arms squirms. he makes a small noise in his throat, crouching to set the pup back down-- who races off to lick the other figure's hand before flinging himself into the water with the other dogs.

with his hands freed, they flick as if to start signing, then pause. he clears his throat awkwardly, and after a moment, with the uncertain hesitation of someone who has no idea what he sounds like: ] They're still learning their manners. [ he signs as he speaks; he has trouble verbalizing if he isn't doing so. ]

[ Well that's certainly new—at least among imPorts. Inanna spares a quick pat for the excited pup before it races off again, and watches Josh's mannerisms thoughtfully. They pat the ground beside them in an invitation to sit, but make sure to look directly at him when they speak this time. ]

I don't see a problem with their manners. They're just having fun. Not hurting anyone.

[fettering]

[ he hesitates a moment longer, then takes the invitation, glance flicking in quiet curiosity from inanna's hair to face, carefully not dropping any lower than their throat as he seats himself. ]

They're shelter dogs, [ he explains with a small smile. ] I'm teaching them basic stuff, socializing them, so they get to go home with someone as soon as possible.

[ in fact, the dogs are running in and out of the water, playing on the sand and the grass, getting their energy out. one, a massive black mutt, comes trotting up to flop wetly at josh's side. it earns a quick, fond glance from josh himself, before he turns back to inanna, indicating himself. ] I'm Josh. You're-- [ a brief pause, lifting his hands to spell out I-N-A-N-N-A. ] I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to say it. [ a gesture to his ear, indicating his deafness. then, carefully: ] Like Dio. Right? One of the-- the Pantheon.

Heropa

[Luci isn't able to find people like Inanna can, but she does have great social media stalking powers and an evening where she's feeling less... tumultuous. She comes up on Inanna swimming, full white suit, heels in her hand as the lakefront started to disagree with them.]

[And she just watches them swim, waiting to be acknowledged or maybe just enjoying a quiet moment of Inanna being alive and whole. There hasn't been a day that she hasn't thought about what would happen if she went back to where they'd come from. Darkness and silence, no control, that was waiting.]

[ It takes a little time for Inanna to notice her. They'd come out to enjoy a little solitude and the quiet comfort of the night sky, so it isn't until they've finally turned to come back to shore that they spot her standing near the water's edge. Even in the dim twilight, it's hard to miss the radiant grin they flash her as they step out of the water. ]

Out looking for some peace for a change?

[It's alright. There's something a little nice about doing the watching for once, doing something but not being seen. And Inanna -- they're always nice to watch. Grace and power, focused while making it look careless. It's a meditation just being a fly on the wall, or a god on the shore in this case.]

[She smirks faintly at him as he walks up.] You going to tell on me if I say yes?

[ To be fair, there's really nothing quite like seeing the Queen of Heaven damp and glistening in the twilight, the heavens reflecting vaguely off their shoulders. ]

Do you really think I would? We all need a little time to ourselves sometimes.

A God and a Goddess in the same photo? Probably make more than just their day.

[It's a joke, but Dionysus is already heading on over to indulge both Inanna and the photographer. Although he's nowhere near as fashionable, wearing the same kind of casual plain shirt he usually does, and because it's particularly hot out... he's switched to shorts. Woah, big change here.]

So what do I...

[Yeah, he doesn't really pose for photographs often, he has no idea what to do with his hands. Stop him before he gives a peace sign or something.]

Just relax. Don't think about the camera too much.

[ Easier said than done with a professional camera being held in their faces, but Inanna sure seems relaxed enough for both of them. They sling a friendly arm around Dio's shoulders and grin for the onslaught of photos. ]

Uh.

[Yeah, easier said than done. But he joins in, putting his arm around Inanna's shoulder if he can, and if he can't, well. Guess we're going the hand-on-hip route. He smiles, but it's not as easy or natural. Can't help it, okay? This is a little out of his zone.]

[ An arm around the shoulder suits Inanna just fine. They wouldn't expect much more from Dio of all people, after all. They wait for the photographer to snap a few shots before they step back to give Dio his space back, flashing a warm smile. ]

There, that wasn't bad. And we've probably guaranteed that guy's rent is paid up for a month or two.

That's just giving the people what they want, [ Lester says, raising his eyebrows in amusement. Honestly, he's still awed that people want him in their ads and random campaigns. No one paid Lester Papadopoulos any attention back home, and for good reason.

He glances down at his loose NASA t-shirt, his jeans, and his converses; a fashion classic, but it's not exactly in style either. ]

And honestly, I'm feeling pretty under-dressed right now.

I do love giving the people what they want, but if you aren't feeling up to it...

[ They step between the camera's lens and Lester, much to the disappointment of the photographer. They'll just have to be satisfied with the shots they've already gotten. ]

Of course. [ He grins. Saved by the best person of all time, if Lester says so himself. ] In the meantime, though - I could thank my savior by treating them to a few things.

Oh, really? What sort of things do you have in mind?

[ There are a few things that come to Inanna's mind first, but one must always ask before making any assumptions. ]

[it's a nice evening. very still, peaceful, not humid, a very good choice for a time to relax, honestly. inanna's made a very unsurprisingly good selection in where they want to hang out.

right up until the relatively calm surface of the lake explodes upwards for a moment, as riptide resurfaces. he's in his cybetronian form, at least, so it's slightly less worrisome than a random boat popping out the water. slightly. he shakes himself like a dog, water droplets flying every which way as he stands at least waist deep.

on the bright side, at least he wasn't right next to inanna when he did this. unlesss they'd decided to swim quite fare out.]

Ughhh! [he groans, running his fingers over his 'cheek'. a long strand of weed gets caught on them as he pulls it out his armour.] Gross! And there's a car! Ugh! Ughhhhh!!!

[guess the bottom of the lake isn't as nice as the top, huh?]

[ WOW RUDE

Suffice to say Inanna was definitely not expecting that and is caught in the sudden displacement of water, coasting back a few yards. ]

Wow! ... A whole car? ...No people in it, right?

[riptide balks when he realises that there's someone else around, and that he almost hit them. he takes a few steps back, making sure that inanna isn't in danger of being slammed incredibly-handsome-face-first into his armour.]

Nah. Just abandoned. Maybe some idiots thought it would be fun.

[...]

I might move it out. Y'know, just... [he bends down, going face first into the water again, straightening back up with a mini cooper in his hand. he doesn't raise it above the water level just yet, but it's close enough to the surface that inanna can probably see the patterned top. looks like someone didn't like herbie: fully loaded, in addition to not knowing the difference between a beetle and a cooper.] What do you think?

[ That's a big relief, especially getting to actually see the car for reassurance that it's actually empty. They laugh helplessly as they bob in the slowly settling waves. ]

You could probably sell it to a junk yard. There might still be a few good parts in it.

Paparazzi

[ this imPort is very easy to spot. Though Satan has accepted wearing some clothes (he is wearing a white suit this time - and a cross around his neck because he is extra as hell), all the wings are still there and of course he makes a show out f them.

When Inanna calls him, Satan looks back at the other and then at the paparazzi ]

Are you really feeding them like that? [ satan doesn't care at all who takes pictures of him, but still - ]

[ Nothing wrong with being a little extra. If anything, it earns a couple extra points of interest in Inanna's eyes. They grin lopsidedly and shrug. ]

Is it so terrible to indulge them?

If you enjoy that type of attention. I honestly don't care. [ humans are far too simple-minded for him to care about how they worship gods and other mortals alike ]

Well, if you don't enjoy it then I think it may be safe to say you dislike it.

[ And so, Inanna is starting to step between Satan and the photographers. ]
