WHO: bodhi rook and you
WHERE: all over
WHEN: all throughout the month
WHAT: oh look, a catch-all
WARNINGS: star wars typical warnings but will update otherwise

[ He hasn't stepped foot inside since before Cassian left, a few days before he left for the island. The dojo, as he's to understand is under new management. Bodhi still lets himself inside, anyways. Before - he'd used to work here. Not as involved in it as Jyn and Cassian had been, but he'd stayed sometimes to help with some of the administrative tasks as well as cleaning or painting. That kind of thing.
It's early - so perhaps there aren't as many people inside yet, which is why he'd chosen now to visit. As he steps in, his eyes are drawn to the corners in which the names in Aurebesh had been written.
-- Jyn's eyes, wide with surprise as she spotted him during his conversation with the neighbors, pulling him inside to where Cassian had been inside, waiting, where they'd reunited.
Now he was gone. Jyn had gone too, returning without memories of that day or the conversations they'd shared, the shenanigans they'd gotten into after that.
Taking a deep breath, he removed his shoes and moved to a corner to practice. Before things had gone to Hell last year, they'd been teaching him defense. Bodhi hasn't practiced in a while, his hits on the punching bag or mats aren't as fluid or as powerful as the ones they'd shown him, but the aggression is there, going through punches and kicks.
And after which, he sits down on the mats and just tries to focus. Tries to.
Sigh. ]

[ The heavy dense wooded area outside of Base One was ideal for Bodhi to take Ace out on his walks. The space in which they were living in was smaller, and it was only him and the dog inside of the single unit, but it more than made up for it with the larger space outside to run around.
He just... uh... had to keep Ace from messing with the small garden outside of the house.
Once out, it's the perfect place for the dog to expend his boundless puppy energy. Today they've been walking less than five minutes when the dog's ears perk up and he lets out a loud bark before taking off with a force that had his leash pulled out of Bodhi's hand. ]
Ace! Dammit - damn dog - squirrels -- get back here - !
[ continued yelling! running after him! ]
c ) wildcard
[ otherwise Bodhi can be found in various other places, different cities - a coffee shop in the morning, some fast food establishment for lunch, sometimes the park or a bookshop/library during the day.
A video rental store.
In the evening, he might stop by a pub - such as Jyn's (Gin and Bear It) or Eli's (Pour Decisions) - not always to drink, sometimes it's just to stop by and see his friends.
Though. Sometimes to drink. Sometimes both. ]

No, we actually met here. [ a pause. Three months?? ] I think he must have already left by the time I joined up... though he says he was originally on course for cargo as well.
So you said you weren't a pilot, what department were you?
no subject
[He watched some of their scenes on that reality show and totally thinks Eli and Bodhi are adorable together, just for the record.
He coughs.] Actually, I was not in the navy at all. ISB, Loyalty Officer.
[You know, those people who investigate other Imperials suspected of committing trespasses against the Empire.]
no subject
Though he's glad to have met the other man here, regardless.
But... ISB. Bodhi pales a little. So far the only one to take offense or punish him for his actions was Hux, and if he were bothered by it - he thinks it would have come up before now. Certainly doesn't have the some feeling as a conversation with the General would go.
(Still, he can't help the small spike of anxiety).
Bodhi drums his fingers on the side of his glass. ]
You, ah. Probably already know, then. That I'm a defector.
no subject
At the confession, he smiles a little, although it's hard to say whether it's meant to be encouraging or predatory.]
Yes, I know. So am I, actually.
[The former, apparently.]
no subject
Eli didn't mention that. ]
Wait. You're a defector, as well?
no subject
In a manner of speaking? I deserted my post, but didn't exactly sprint over to the Other Side. It was more of a vague shuffle brought about by extenuating circumstances.
no subject
What were the circumstances that made you choose to leave, then? If you don't mind me asking.
no subject
He will respond however, pressing his lips together before falling back on sarcasm in an effort to avoid any actual sincerity (as he does).]
Let's just say that watching another Death Star explode into dust particles while standing alone in a forest surrounded by a slew of dead bodies is one of those Life Altering Experiences.
no subject
And they built another one.
His hand shakes and he takes a deep breath. ]
If you were ISB, you must've heard that I was the one to try and warn the Rebellion about the first one. That's why I left. I found out what the Kyber I was delivering was being used to build.
no subject
[He hums a little; the sort of noise a person makes when they're reluctant to go on.]
Mmm... yes. Your name was familiar; it took a little while before I remembered why. If you'd been captured, it's likely I would've been the one to interrogate you and this conversation would've been much more awkward.
no subject
Yep. I think I'm glad we didn't meet back then, you'd probably be the last conversation I had before I was scheduled for an execution.
[ and then Galen would probably either be locked up even more so, or also killed. Are his hands shaking a little at the possibility that there was so much more at stake, if he failed and was caught? Maybe. ]
Happy to meet you now, though.

[Not unlike a mafia enforcer really, not that he's familiar with that term.]
Yes, and under much better circumstances, definitely.
