WHO: Armitage Hux and Bodhi Rook
WHERE: warehouse
WHEN: night of October 2nd/early morning of October 3rd
WHAT: murder fun times
WARNINGS: murder, torture, violence. very bad things.
burning down the house- bodhi rook
[It wasn't difficult to get one of his new 'allies' to grab the pilot, knocking him unconscious to make it easier to get him where they wouldn't be interrupted. It was really a simple plan, Hux was rather pleased with himself even though he had a long night ahead of him.
Once Bodhi was securely tied to chair in they left were alone in the middle of a bare room. He would have let Bodhi wake up on his own but he was on a bit of a schedule. Punctuality was important.]
Time to wake up, pilot. [He peeled his gloves off as he looked at the pilot tied to the chair. He reached out to lightly slap the pilot's cheek just enough to get him to wake up.]
I have quite an evening planned for us so you won't want to miss out on anything.

What really woke him wasn't the slap to his face, or the familiar all too happy voice, it was the bonds on his hands and feet, the lack of his goggles which must have fallen off when he'd been taken. Opening his eyes to Hux, he pulls against his bonds - ignoring the growing panic. He's not fool enough to think this is going to be anything but unpleasant (but if it's not some giant monster crawling out of the shadows to ransack his memories, maybe he can take it? No, this wasn't better). ]
You -- no, what're you doing?

[His nose had healed but this was more than just that. Bodhi had betrayed the Empire and traitors had to be punished.
Death may not be permanent but at the very least Hux could make sure that Bodhi lived with wounds that wouldn't so easily heal.]
We have some unfinished business and I thought it was best we work things out somewhere we wouldn't be disturbed.
no subject
[ Oh, he knows this isn't looking good. Knows it, and doesn't care as he fights against his bonds -- no mechanical breathing or large beast sliding across the stone floor. Bodhi uses that fact to anchor himself to now, to the present, on Hux, and looking for some way out of this. ]
I know we have our differences... but let me go and we can talk this out. It's not too late for that.
[ Because reasoning works so well. But if he can stall a little... ]

Most of them are true, Grand Moff Tarkin once put an Imperial officer into an escape pod, disabled the navigation and launched it at the nearest star. I'm sure you could imagine what Vader did.
[He smirked as he stood behind Bodhi, the air heating up around him already. He placed his hands on Bodhi's shoulders, a small fire under his palms.]
Unfortunately, I don't have a star or even an interrogation droid with me this evening so we're going to have to make due, won't we?
no subject
The heat in the air is the first hint as to what'll happen next, and then there's actual fire, burning through the flimsy material of his shirt and onto his skin. A jagged cry is ripped from him before he clamps it down through clenched teeth, fists curling at his sides. ]
no subject
But you did betray the Empire. You betrayed the Emperor and most importantly, you betrayed billions of Imperial citizens. Do you think that is something that can be forgotten?
[Hux's voice was calm but he smirked when Bodhi let out a cry. Now they were getting somewhere.
He dug his fingers in, keeping his hands on Bodhi's shoulders.]
You're right, I'm not Tarkin. But I don't need to be, I would prefer not to limit myself to simply following in his footsteps.
no subject
And w-what of those the Empire killed with the Death Star? Or the rest of the innocents that they slaughtered for no good reason? Do they not fit your narrative of the Empire as the heroes they were?
[ Jedha, the people starving and the people that would be punished for simple matters. The wave of destruction that wiped out an entire city. Scarif. Alderaan. Hux dug his fingers in, eliciting another cry from him. ]
no subject
[He let go slowly, patting the raw skin with one hand before he stepped around to face Bodhi.]
It must be nice here for you, having a chance at a life free of the Empire.
[He reached out with a heated palm to tip Bodhi's chin up so the pilot was looking at him.]
But I don't think it's good to entirely forget your past, don't you agree? I think you need something to remind you of where you came from.
no subject
[ He winces, breathing deeply. It would be nice, free of the Empire. Not even death had spared him, not with the likes of Hux choosing to remind him of them at every possible turn.
Like now.
Bodhi scowls, trying to pull his head away from the man's hand. Those words... he doesn't like the sound of. ]
I know where I came from, and what I've done. That's the only reminder of that life I need.
no subject
[He pondered for a moment before moving to Bodhi's right arm before the pilot could respond. He was none too gentle in tearing the sleeve of the shirt to reveal Bodhi's arm.]
Right here would be a good spot, what do you think? [he asked as he lightly tapped Bodhi's upper arm almost gently.]
I suggest you keep still because if you move too much I'll just have to start over on your other arm. Can you do that for me, Bodhi?
no subject
No, don't. Don't do this.
[ He means to mark him. And with that he tries to pull his arm away as the man tears the sleeve away but there's no point in trying if he's tied up. ]
no subject
I have no doubt that this will go away when you come back but I can only hope that this memory will stay with you.
[He was going to have to use his pinky finger to try to get the detail of the Imperial symbol. He put intense heat into it, even if the symbol would most likely fade he wanted it to burn deep into the pilot's skin and deep into his mind. ]
Almost done, stay still.
no subject
Eyes squeezed shut and face turned away, Bodhi grit his teeth past the pain, the scream building in his throat - he knew the shape that was being burnt into his flesh. Didn't need to look to know. . ]
no subject
[Hux sat back as he finished, wrinkling his nose at the smell of burning skin and burnt clothing.]
I think you won't be forgetting the lesson, will you? Perhaps I should let you go back to your friends so the burn stays with you while you're here.
no subject
He swallows, ignoring the smell, wincing at the pain of his shoulders and arm, as he looks up up at Hux. ]
Yeah. I get it. Won't be forgetting any time soon.
[ Now he couldn't leave the Empire behind if he tried. ]
no subject
[Hux stepped around to face Bodhi, pleased.]
I think I'll let you go so the mark scars and remains with you. It's a deep wound, you will want to tend to it but it will most likely take awhile to heal. Just be careful it doesn't get infected.
no subject
Head bowed he shakes his head again. ]
No, just let me go. I won't try anything else in the future.
[ Two seconds ago, Bodhi was convinced the guy meant to kill him. Maybe that had been a ruse to frighten him, and it made sense. Hux wasn't foolish enough do anything that risky -- not with so many rebels surrounding him. ]
no subject
[He carefully burned the ropes, making sure not to burn Bodhi in the process. Of course, he had no intention of just letting the pilot go but he didn't need to know that. Instead, he stepped away, clasping his hands behind his back.]
Out the door and to the left. It's about a mile to town, but I think you can find your way.
no subject
But Bodhi wants to be away from this place, from Hux. He's tired and in pain --
With a brief glance at the man's face, he's up, not bothering to look behind him as he hurriedly makes his way to the door, rubbing where the bindings had cut into him.
In time, he'd get Hux back for this. Somehow. ]
no subject
He would let Bodhi get some distance, let him think that he had a chance to get away. Of course, he had no intention of letting the pilot go that easily and before Bodhi is too far away the fireball hit him square in the back, Hux chuckling.]
Bodhi Rook, did you honestly think I was just going to let you go?
no subject
It was now telling, just how lucky he'd been to have died instantly when that grenade had gone off, rather than burnt to death slowly. Every move is agony.
This is really not his day. ]
No! You lying -- lying motherfucker!
[ Thank you Veronica, for the lesson in slang and swearing. It might not help the situation much, but Hux probably gets it's an insult. Sweating and shaking, he tries to pull himself up to his feet. ]
no subject
Honestly, your little bit of faith in that moment when you trusted me was touching, really. But you're a traitor, you know there is no mercy for a traitor. I have to make sure this is a lesson you won't forget anytime soon.
[He approached Bodhi as the pilot tried to pull himself up, smirking.] You know you're going to die tonight, nothing will change that. No one is coming to save you.
no subject
You know it's not permanent. You kill me, I'll just be back and you'll have -- a bunch of angry rebels to deal with.
[ Bodhi glared up at the other man as he approached. If the man was going to kill him, he would at least -- he lashed out with a hasty kick towards the other man's legs. ]
no subject
And yes, I'm sure they will be angry, they will want to come after me. But you, you will caution them because you know what I'm capable of.
[Hux wasn't expecting Bodhi to kick out, nearly tripping as he stumbled forward. He barely managed not to fall on his face, that would certainly not be dignified.
Bodhi seemed to have some fight left in him and he stomped on the man's leg hard, digging the heel of his boot into the burn there.]
no subject
They could take you.
[ He hadn't been expecting that to nearly work, he manages a wan smile but it's lost in another yell as Hux steps on his burned leg, grinding it in. ]
no subject
[Hux pulled his foot back, taking a moment to wipe his boot on the ground to get anything off of it. He didn't want to get too messy.]
So, how do you want to die, pilot? I could set you on fire, watch you burn.
[He checked the time on his phone for a moment, he didn't want to take too much longer since he still had to shower, change, and then go take care of Poe Dameron.]
Explosion? So many possibilities.
no subject
After. ]
Get it over with.
no subject
[The fire appeared in the palm of Hux's right hand, lingering there for a moment.]
I think that you can take a little bit of time to savor your last moments. After all, you didn't get that on Scarif, did you? Just a flash of light then...gone.
[He nudged at Bodhi's body with the tip of his foot, inspecting the burns before flicking the flame to ignite Bodhi's feet, slowly moving up his legs..]
Look at me, Bodhi Rook. I want to make sure I'm the last thing you see.
no subject
Bodhi could feel the smoke in his lungs and coughed, a painful, hacking noise, briefly cutting off his screaming. ]
no subject
The Death Star was gone, Tarkin was dead, nothing would bring them back. But Bodhi represented what was weak in the Empire, the same weakness he sought to destroy in the new Imperial rule.
He was sure the pilot would be back but he doubted that Bodhi would be much trouble to him in the future. The other rebels, well, they would pose some trouble but he would make sure they had other things on their hands.]
no subject
No, that had been saved for now.
Gasping for air that wasn't filled with smoke, he found himself looking up towards the ceiling (not at Hux, even dying he wasn't going to follow anymore Imperial orders) wishing it was the stars above - even as darkness started to cloud his vision. The pain that had been so intense only moments before seemed lessened, somehow. It wouldn't be much longer, it wouldn't... His thoughts strayed. To Jyn. Cassian. And Kay.
... it wasn't any of your fault...
I'm sorry.
As Hux moved the flame upwards, towards his chest, his ragged breaths slowed after a few moments as he was unable to force anymore air into his lungs, then stopped completely.
For the second time in as many months, Bodhi Rook was dead. ]
no subject
He waited until Bodhi had gasped his last breath, nudging the body with the tip of his foot to make sure of the pilot's demise.
The rebels would no doubt be looking for him but Hux would make sure the pilot was put where he belonged. One underling was enough to be given the task of dumping Bodhi's body into a ditch somewhere while Hux headed back home.
He wasn't finished for the night, he needed a long shower to get any unpleasant smells off of him. The last thing he needed was for Poe to wake up when he smelled Hux. Once showered he was changed and on his way to take care of another pilot.]
