[It's taken some adjusting to get used to living this planet. He was used to having a routine and being busy, the inactivity made him restless and even more irritated at being stuck on here with few allies. Even wearing clothes that are normal for this place every bit of him is stiff, wary and on edge.
In the mornings he was up a bit before dawn for a run before work, the afternoon he spent running errands, often being found in bookstores stocking up on books on history, science, and technology. He hated being bored and he really hated having idle time on his hands.
Evenings were when he could be found in more questionable parts of the city, blaster tucked out of sight in one pocket in his coat, his gloves off just in case. He likes to be kept busy, even when business has him out in the early hours of the morning. Even when he hears footsteps behind him he doesn't turn, only adjusting the cuffs of his coat, every bit of him on edge.]
closed to bodhi.
Mornings were his time. It was quiet in the early morning, just before dawn so it allowed him to clear his mind on his morning runs. It was time that he had to himself without Kylo Ren in his head or having to deal with business.
At least, until he caught sight of a familiar rebel pilot. He didn't carry his blaster with him this morning but he was hardly defenseless as he slowed to a walk. He wasn't concerned, he was sure he could deal with one rebel if he had to.]
Are you following me now, Bodhi Rook?
[He appreciated Kay handing him that name as well, the droid was surprisingly helpful despite being insufferable.]
live on the wide side.
[Throw me a prompt or hit me up at
illuminations for plotting.]

Are you imagining things again?

[He and Ren had both thought it strange but this was making it more confusing. Still, he could never forget the sight of Luke in tears.]
Tears won't work when you meet your nephew, however.

[ Luke finally turned around then, giving Hux a critical look. ]
Now I know you're delusional.
And if you think I haven't spoken to Kylo by now, then you would be wrong. I have every intention of letting him come to me when he wants to, regardless of whether it's to fight or talk.

[Hux met Luke's eyes, not at all deterred. He smirked, nearly rolling his eyes with amusement.]
I know you talked over the network but when you meet in person, what you pulled with me isn't going to get you far with him. But it would at least be amusing to watch.

I know you seem to think you're important, and if you keep saying something happened then people will believe you, but... that doesn't actually work. Sorry.
[ Only he wasn't really sorry. ]

But since we're being honest, let's be honest. You may play pretend Jedi but when things didn't go right you ran away and I would bet good credits you cried as you abandoned everyone.
[He's spent years helping Ren find Luke, it's been really annoying and now Luke is standing here and he just wants to solve the problem right now. But that's Ren's job so he took a deep breath, composed once more.]
You're always going to be a farmboy from a backwater desert planet and flailing around with a lightsaber doesn't make you important either.

[ The Force was nice enough to let him finish insulting Luke, before it closed around his throat like a vise. ]

Just like...Vader....[He managed to gasp. He had heard plenty of stories of what Vader did to incompetent Imperial officers who failed the Empire. And now Luke Skywalker was here Force-choking him, it was oddly satisfying to be able to push him to this point when Palpatine had failed to do so.]

Yes, just like my father. Maybe instead of focusing on my imagined cowardice, you should remember that instead.
[ He let go of Hux then, though not before using the Force to shove him back a bit. ]

[He taunted once Luke released him, his voice rough. He reached up to rub his throat, stumbling back slightly. He caught himself on a bookshelf to keep his footing before looking up at Luke.]
You fear I'm right, don't you? That's why you're lashing out. You can get angry all you want but you do run away but it's only a matter of time before your nephew hunts you down.

...I'm not a Jedi. Not yet.
[ He paused, glancing back at him. ]
And from what I've learned, I feel it may be better if I find my own path in the Force, beyond what my teachers and the Jedi used to be.
[ He moved to leave for the registers to pay for his book, before he stopped once again. ]
...and no matter what, when Kylo comes to me, I will greet him as my nephew. Whether he's there to fight or talk is up to him, but that won't change anything.

[And honestly, even if Luke was just going to come back, it would be satisfying to see him dead. But that wasn't his battle.]
Until next time, Skywalker, You may want to stock up on tissues and try to hold it together next time. [He smirked as he turned back to look at the books amused.]
