WHO: Futaba, anyone from the Heaven Scent Infiltration that would be Concerned, Yusuke, Adachi, Akira, Akechi, Makoto, Skater Fam--and whatever part of the circus they drag in. Basically open?
WHERE: A Hospital in Scenic De Chima
WHEN: Late August 15th through Release on August 18th
WHAT: Futaba made a near fatal error, there are consequences
WARNINGS: Bodily injury, blood, things with hospitals, possible cursing considering. Will add more as they come up.

1. Arrival | No Futaba communication; play out as thou wilt

[Anyone that arrives soon after communication from Yusuke or Adachi will find chaos with nurses and doctors moving in and out of unit that must be Futaba's. There are worried, pinched faces and they are being kept from the room itself while they work. If you're looking for answers you'll have to find Yusuke or Adachi--the medics aren't going to spare time in the moment.]

2. Early Morning Wake Up Call

[Following what must have been a very stressful night, the wee hours of the morning of the 16th see Futaba finally coming around. She's still out of it, brain fuzzy and tired, her body covered in bandages and bruises. Someone might want to keep her from trying to haphazardly sit up at first. For anyone still hanging around, visitor hours be damned.]

What--uhm why does everyone look like someone died?

3. Visiting Hours (And after hours for all those crime boys I guess)

[You might find yourself coming in and out throughout the day after Futaba comes to on the 16th. She's laid up to rest, not due to be evaluated for release until the 18th at the earliest. If you weren't on the list of those immediately contacted this might be the first time you're able to make it up to De Chima to see her--or you might be coming back to see her without crowds of people.

It's a 50/50 shot on whether or not Futaba is awake when guests arrive, but she'll come to readily enough--even if she feels like sleeping for a month after the ordeal she's been through.]

[ They had no idea what was going on. She was in surgery and there wasn't a whole lot they could do but wait it out. He looks a little nervous, unsure how he could be of help. He had never had friends to worry about before -- and it made him sick.

Dizzy with worry, sick, he wanted to vomit. He runs his fingers through his hair, internally panicking. How could this have happen? They were supposed to be a team--

A million thoughts running through his head before the doctor started talking everything ground to a halt.

AB.

AB negative blood type. ]

I'm sorry did you just... say AB negative?

[ He stares in shock, hands shaking as he reaches out. He could help. ]

That's my blood type.

[Akira also slumped as they got the news. She could die? She could die. He raked his hands through his messy hair, tugging at it again. He was trying not to freak out. He was usually so calm, but he also didn't usually think his very good friend could die.]

Futaba...

[He's sorry, Sojiro. He fucked up. He wasn't there to protect her.

Akira is pulled out of his guilt by Goro asserting that he had the same blood type as Futaba. A very rare blood type, that they often did not have enough of in hospitals.]

Goro...? [Akira isn't even sure what to think about that, but he's reaching out, as if to offer. That... was really the best thing that any of them could do.] If there's anything I can do, let me know. [In return, he guessed? There was nothing else he could do other than offer whatever he had to the people who could do something.]

[ Adachi's face lit up at Akechi saying he had the same blood type; that was a one in a million chance, but he wasn't going to complain about it. He stepped out of the way as the doctor motioned toward Akechi to come with him. ]

You'll let us know the moment it's okay to see them, right?

[ Because Akechi was probably going to end up spending some time in the hospital after this one too. Probably not nearly as long as Futaba would, but still. ]

Yes, of course.

[Akira had wandered over to be nearer to Adachi as Goro was with the doctor, a concerned look on his face. Of course, that was probably no change from before, but at least he could be a little less severe with the possibility that a transfusion could save Futaba, and probably wouldn't hurt Goro much?

He gave a sigh, standing beside Adachi and just... fiddling with the hem of his shirt.]

... I'm going to have to figure out what food he likes now too. And figure out how to cook it.

[ Adachi was quiet for a long moment, watching the doctor lead Akechi back to be prepped. He finally turned to Akira then, offering him a soft smile. Futaba would be all right... they couldn't quite relax yet, but they would be able to soon. ]

[ It was a moment before his smile turned a little sly, a teasing tone coming to his voice. ]

How could you not know what your boyfriend likes to eat~?

[Adachi! Akira gave a huff, but actually just kind of pouted at him at that. He already knew that they were not dating. They were not boyfriends, but Akira was too tired to argue. He was still in a state right now, anyway, and had to pull his glasses off to wipe his face with a sleeve and then wipe those glasses as well.]

All I know is that he can't handle spicy food. He must like regular takoyaki though... [Don't ask.] ...but I don't know if that'd be a very good treat right now.

Or even if I could get octopus here.

You can; there's a fish market in Heropa that has all kinds of stuff.

[ He fell quiet for a moment, tilting his head slightly. ]

Hell, you probably already know what he likes, you're just too stressed to remember.

[ He reached over, planting his hand on his head and ruffling his hair slightly. ]

...they'll be okay.

[Hm. Not bad, then. He'd have to check out the fish market.]

Mh. I don't know.

[Adachi was right, though. He knew of a few things he liked. Sushi, coffee... pancakes. He wasn't sure if coffee was a good idea right now though? Caffeine when he's low on blood, isn't that a bad idea? Akira had no idea, actually.]

...Yeah. I'm sure you're right. Lucky Goro was here, huh?

Seriously. It's such a damn rare blood type.

[ He let out a breath after a moment, the stress of what had happened finally starting to wear at him. His conscience was slowly clawing at the back of his mind, the sight of blood coming fresh to his mind-- ]

[ He squeezed his eyes shut, shaking his head. ]

But yeah, everything will be okay. Okay?

That's pretty crazy.

[Akira gave a sigh, breaking his frown away from his face, at least. He wasn't really smiling though, but just at his resting 'neutral' face. Smiling was just too much work right now, but at least most of the stress seems to have moved on from his expression.

It wasn't gone, but he was good at, well... putting on a mask.]

Yeah. We'll have to double down on training once we get the chance, though.

Yeah, no kidding.

[ He let out a breath. ]

And get lessons on how to not jump ahead when one of your teammates can't mov--

[ No, no; dammit, he said he wasn't going to be bitter here! He smacked a hand to his forehead, running it down his face as he shook his head. ]

...forget I said that.

[You can be bitter all you want, Adachi. Akira was probably not the best person to do it to, though. He is of the mind that the person to blame is the one who made a conscious decision to hurt another person, really.

Even if things could have been done better. Reflecting on it should serve the purpose of not letting it happen again.]

I already forgot. Whatever happened in there... it's important to keep in mind, to prevent anything like this happening again, but...

[Akira shrugged. He might have put his neutral face on, but he was tired. This stress was draining, so he was just... going to take a seat out here, still looking up to Adachi.]

I haven't really gotten in any training at all. I... [He hadn't even been there to support his teammates. He should have been there.]

[ Adachi peered over at him again, reaching over to place his hand on his shoulder. ]

That's why we've got our little training place, okay? We'll work on it, don't worry.

[He looks up a little more to actually get to see the man's face from where he was sitting.]

Will you let me know ahead of time if you find out they're... going to do something like this again?

[ Adachi chuckled faintly. ]

If I do know in advance, yeah. I didn't even know they were going to be in on this until I showed up and there they were.

[Akira sighs, visibly relaxing, though it was less that he WAS relaxed and more that he was finally able to pretend like he was.]

Thanks. And thanks for keeping an eye on them, even so.

[He didn't know exactly how it went, but he figured that Adachi had helped at some point.]

Well yeah.

[ He offered him a lopsided grin. ]

We Persona users gotta stick together, 'ya know?

[ Adachi paused a moment... before letting out a groan, planting a hand over his face. ]

...I'm starting to sound like Dojima's brat...

[Akira blinked as he looked at him for a bit.]

And here I thought it was just because you cared. [He gave one of his own smiles, but it didn't really reach his eyes.]

Why do you sound so disgusted about sounding like this 'Dojima's brat'? Sounds like something perfectly reasonable to say, to me.

[Perfectly reasonable. Of course Akira would think that, he is still a Protag. Even if he is a nasty crime boy.]

[ Adachi's expression sobered slightly at that. ]

I do. Care, I mean.

[ It was still a weird thing to admit. There wasn't MUCH he cared about, but it was stil there. Akira calling him out about Dojima's kid had him letting out a groan, though, running a hand over his face. ]

Because Mr. Leader tried so damn hard to be my friend and then ran in to bring me down. I mean, I deserved getting my ass kicked, but I can still be unreasonably bitter about it.

[He laughed again at that, shaking his head. He figured you cared, you doofus. He was just teasing, mostly. That's how Akira was.]

... Do you think Goro feels the same way? Think he's a little bitter?

[It wasn't exactly the same situation, but he had more or less befriended him and then screwed him over. Even if Goro had made the first move, Akira sometimes wondered if he was bitter about it.]

No, maybe he's not. He doesn't seem bitter. Not at me, anyway. [A little bitter at himself, if anything.]

I guess I understand, really. But for your sake, I hope you continue to sound like him. No matter how much you hate it, it's a good look on you.

[ Adachi paused a moment, considering. ]

I don't think it's bitterness, and it's not directed at you. I think it's more he's disappointed in himself.

[ He let out a snort, rubbing at the back of his neck. ]

I guess. Just no one tell him if he ever shows up.

[That's... well it's not good, but it is good? Disappointed in himself means that he really is evaluating what he's done. Akira just hopes he's not beating himself up too much. He knew how people acted with too much guilt, he'd seen it again and again.

He didn't want to see Goro like that. It had to be a little bit easier, doing it naturally?]

I just hope he's doing okay. He keeps a lot bottled up, even around me. [Akira still felt privileged that Goro would share as much as he did with him.]

I don't intend on telling anyone else, not to worry. I don't... share much with others either, I guess. [He laughed a little at that, but it wasn't really a GOOD thing, was it? So much that his fellow thieves didn't know about. Both here and back in Tokyo. He was never one to overshare.]

He will. He's got a lot to figure out, like what he's going to do with himself. That takes time, and unfortunately, he doesn't get to curl up in a prison cell for a few months to think about it.

[ Not that he was speaking from experience or anything. ]

[ He blew out a sigh at that last part, shaking his head. ]

I swear, if he wasn't such a goody two shoes, you two would probably be near identical. He didn't share much with other people either...

[ He paused, trailing off as he made a face. ]

One moment I see him fishing well into the night, the next I see him with a girl on his arm, the next he's punching out his best friend by the river, and then out again with a different girl... I still don't know what to make of that guy.

Nah, I got to be the one in a cell. [Akira laughed a little at that. It wasn't funny, though. He went to juvenile, and Goro... Akira was trying not to think about it. There was nothing he could do about it now, and he won't even remember if he ever goes back.]

That doesn't sound THAT much like me. I'm not going out with girls all the time.

And being not a goody-two-shoes is kind of my whole deal, don't you think? Well, maybe you don't really... I mean... [He snickered a little at that. Adachi knew he broke into his home the once because Yusuke asked him to, but he didn't really know the extent of it, did he?]

Maybe you'll hear about it someday. Here and now isn't the time or place. [Sitting in a hospital, he was not going to regale Adachi with tales of trailing Yakuza or working in a bar in Shinjuku, or any of his other Nasty Crime Boy shenanigans.]

Oh, I'm sorry, you're going out with boys all the time. My mistake.

[ Adachi couldn't help the teasing smile, although that turned into a faint noise at the next part. ]

Eh... you mean when you guys were... you know?

[ He knew about Akechi going, because Yusuke got all pissy about him having all the information that had been on his pegboard now. He didn't know Akira was with him, but it made sense, all things considered. He shrugged. ]

Well, it's fine. There's always a lot of crap going on, so I'm not surprised by anything anymore.
