archie sits on the floor of the living room, having moved all the furniture out the way, made a little makeshift bed for the poochyena puppies. they're both asleep, and he is casually writing something down on a pad. he glances over to may, stone faced.
if there is one thing he is taking seriously, it's who these dogs are going to. one slip up and you're banned.

Poochyena have really sharp teeth as they get older - sharper than any dogs. They like to take bites at pretty much anything... How would you deal with that?

I have a friend too, that would help me out with training if I asked. He's a super dog lover; if we know the difference between these guys and normal dogs, we should be all right.

[ While he was talking, the little guy sleepily plodded away from its sibling, stumbling over to Adachi's lap, before plopping down and going back to sleep. That got him to look down in surprise, that smile working its way back onto his face. D'aw... ]

Well, you're in luck. Looks like it likes you already. Right-- they run a lot. Their ability is either Quick Feet or Run Away, both of which involve running very fast in multiple directions. What are you plannin' to do if it gets out? Which it will, because they're smart.

I don't want to get it chipped... pretty sure a leash would just lead to me being dragged around all over... I guess get it used to a collar, and put a GPS tracker in that?

[ The Poochyena on his lap let out a yawn, rolling over on his lap. Adachi let out a snort as he looked down, and... well, he guessed that meant it was a she? He wasn't sure -- different worlds, different critters -- and he glanced up at one of them for confirmation for a moment, before reaching down to rub under her chin. ]

[ Her tail wagged lazily in response. ]

It was... awhile ago, when I was still working with the Heropa police department. I worked with a woman named Riza Hawkeye, and... well, she made my work days pretty bearable.
[ He smiled faintly. ]
We were through a lot together, especially when the Russians took over for awhile and were trying to brainwash us. And... she meant a lot to me. But, uh... the porter decided it was time for her to go back to her world.
[ He let out a sigh at that, rubbing under Riza-chan's chin. ]
I... guess she knew that she wasn't going to be around, because she left her favorite gun in my locker at the station house.
