HAUNTED CABIN + TRAIL

Remember that cabin decoration mentioned earlier? Well at around 10 PM, it opens up for business. Wherein it and a bit of a decorative path leading up to it (that even ventures out through a door and back in through another), full of spooks and screams and things that jump out at you.

If you're lucky, and can't find M'gann on the floor itself, she's likely stowing away in the shadows of the spooky path, disguising herself as any number of creepy things. Aliens, bugs, clowns, anything that might scare your character!

Of course, if she's not, don't expect to be completely let down. There are a few other paid actors in there [ and feel free to volunteer your character, here ] to give you your spooky delights.

[ Officer Robin (complete with mustache, naturally), is going to brave the haunted house at least five times tonight. He's also grabbing people to drag them along with him (even taking them by the arm if they're friends), because come on, it's not as entertaining if he can't watch people scream. What a twerp. ]

C'mon, it'll be fun!

[runningstart]

No! [Wally grabs onto the doorjamb and hangs on when Robin wraps his hands around the back of Wally's hideous vest and tries to drag him into the cabin.] Hell no! I don't have my goggles and I saw a shitton of lizards in there!

[performance]

I'll protect you! You can cling to me if you get scared.

[ DRAG DRAG DRAG ]

[runningstart]

Like hell you'll protect me! [Wally's grip on the door is pretty fierce, he's got some strong fingers.] You're gonna take video and laugh while I make an idiot out of myself!

[performance]

Shut up and— nngh— [ He wraps both arms around Wally from behind, smushing his face into Wally's back and tugging the very very best he can. ] Face this like a man!

[runningstart]

No- How are you so strong?! [A question that will plague Wally forever, because Robin manages to pry his fingers from the doorjamb and drag him into the haunted house, the little bastard.

Wally resolutely refuses to hold onto Robin, hands stuffed beneath his armpits, night vision on his goggles as he glares along the path, on the alert for lizards and frogs and other frankly awful creatures.] I hate you.

[performance]

[ Well, Robin has a fistful of Wally's shirt, anyway, in case he decides to bolt like a big old weenie. He also keeps snickering every few seconds, because he's a jerk. THIS IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, WALLY. ]

Careful, I think I saw one on the wall a second ago... [ SNRRRKKK ]

[Artemis in Wonderland is just going to stop and gape at the mustachioed menace who takes hold of her arm.]

... Robin?!

[Excuse her while she takes a minute to cackle herself breathless here.]

[ Robin just grins and strokes his mustache. ]

Hello to you too, Alice.

[Artemis manages to regain her composure and tilts her head to one side, taking in the full costume.]

Wally said you were going as buddy cops, but I didn't expect so much... afro. Or any afro at all.

[performance]

It's 70s buddy cops. The hair is the pièce de résistance.

[She snorts.]

It's a piece of something, that's for sure.

[performance]

Wow. You wound me.

[ Reiner is not a particularly convincing Sleeping Beauty, but his costume does its job, which is to offset Annie's. The haunted house, unlike some of the other festivities of the night, actually catches Reiner's interest to an extent and he smirks in Robin's direction, not disagreeing. ]

More fun than dancing, I bet. Have you done this kind of thing before?

[performance]

[ He's still really not sure about the whole titan thing, but anyone who dresses up like Princess Aurora can't be... entirely suspicious. That's just 100% solid Robin logic. SO. ]

All the time! Probably with more actual deadly threats than this one'll have, but it'll do.

[soldiarity]

[ That's the spirit. He's as harmless as a... well, no. But someone can be a mass murderer and still a decent person, right? ]

I think the less deadly threats the better, considering it's a holiday. [ He says it thoughtfully, though with a hint of uncertainty that suggests, mostly, that he doesn't fully understand what is or isn't normal or appropriate for Halloween. ] ... At least that was my understanding. What kind are you expecting?

[ Okay, so that quiet uncertainty is kind of weirdly endearing. ]

I'm expecting this one to be safe. Like you said, since it's a holiday and everything. First time for you?

[soldiarity]

If you say it like that, it makes me wonder if someone should check it out ahead of time just in case.

[ He smirks, though. Whether Dick is joking or not, the idea at least doesn't make Reiner nervous. He nods after a moment. ]

Yeah. So far so good, I think -- it doesn't seem so bad. Do people like being scared that much?

[ Kaneki came dressed as a Pirate. Of course he is, he wears an eye-patch, after all! And his eye-patch has a skull on it, this time.

He isn't very used to this sort of thing and he certainly avoids crowds, but since he came to the Halloween part, Kaneki might as well try this Haunted House out. He doesn't think he will be too scared, but perhaps a jump or two and laughing about it at the end can happen.

That's what he thinks, but he is still staring at the house and not really moving inside. ]

[From behind Kaneki, a mysterious, ominous figure -- who is really nothing more than a blue-haired teenager wearing a sloth kigu -- approaches and comes up to stand a foot or so away, leaning forward so he can whisper in the most stupid dramatic, spooky whisper]

Kaaaneeeeekiiiii-saaaaaan.

[ Kaneki only jerks in response, but there isn't much of another reaction. he turns around to look at the other, blinking a couple of times, before he adds a small smile ]

Hey, I didn't think you'd be here. [Despite standing so close, he raises a fleece-clad arm in a wave, straightening up.]

What're you looking at?

Just having a look, I guess. Trying to learn about this place, too.

[ everything feels like it came out of a Hollywood movie ]

And... deciding to go inside or not. But going alone sounds a bit... [ boring ]... silly.

[He turns to the entrance, then takes a step forward.]
