WHO: Tina Belcher and YOU
WHERE: Various places around Heropa and Maurtia Falls, maybe elsewhere?
WHEN: Any time after her intro on May 4th
WHAT: Tina gets to know people in this new world around her.
WARNINGS: None that I can think of.
A. Order Up!
[Once Tina is confident that the government wasn't lying about her powers, she actually becomes eager to experiment. Her dad was strict about his burgers being beef only, no matter what else he'd throw in as add-ons or other ingredients, but here, she wouldn't have to worry about him being so stubborn.
Or hallucinating Kuchi Kopi telling him that foreign proteins were bad, she reminds herself.
So for the people who wanted a cook, she would go visit them upon request.]
B. Maurtia Falls #003
[Tina's a bit shy at first when she arrives. She'll say hello to her housemates when they're around, but otherwise, when she's not at school or working, she tends to hide in her room. She misses her family, isn't quite sure what to do without them, since most of her socialization usually came through her siblings, less often her parents.
Soon, though, she comes out of her shell and spends more time in the common areas of the house, sitting on the balcony and working on homework, or writing fanfiction in a notebook in the den. Also, she starts cooking, first for herself, but one Sunday decides to make a big pot of beef stew for the whole house, carefully portioning it and leaving it in the fridge afterward.]
C. Wildcard
[Or anywhere else you want to find her.]

Oh, hey, you're the new arrival, right? Hail and well met.
no subject
Uhm, well met, too. Yeah, I'm Tina.
no subject
What're you cooking, there? It smells divine.
[ He unloads the grocery bags onto the counter, sorting out his purchases from whatever upscale grocery store or farmers market he's clearly spent his entire afternoon at. ]
no subject
Uhm, beef stew. My superpower is that I can cook really well, so I thought I should put it to some good use and share the wealth, so to speak.
no subject
[ Look, there's a lot Taako doesn't understand about the whole concept of imPort powers. ]
Not that I'm belittling cooking, obviously. I used to have my own cooking show.

[ He considers this for a moment. ]
I do kind of want to see someone fight crime with cooking now, though.
no subject
[She taps her chin.]
The best I can come up with is, like, throwing hot things in someone's face. Or using utensils as weapons, maybe, though if you were trying to fight with a spatula you couldn't do much damage.
no subject
[ He may be vagueing one of their other roommates a little here, oops. It's said in good humor,
at least. ]
Hmm... A spatula? I guess maybe if you could hit someone with it hard enough, but I'm a Wizard, not a Fighter.
no subject
You're... a wizard? Seriously? We don't have wizards back home...

[ He pulls a bowl out of one of the kitchen cabinets and sets about helping himself to some of her stew. ]
There is such a thing as too much excitement, sometimes.

Nope. Probably not. With that sorted out, he nods and strides forward, booming, ] Hail and well met! Do you live here too?
no subject
Uh-huh, I just moved here not too long ago. Or, well, got kidnapped from home and was placed here, if we want to be accurate... but that's happened to everyone in this house, so I guess I don't need to mention that part.
no subject
[ Magnus isn't exactly thrilled about the kidnapping, but he's not fretting about it too much either. Taako's told him that things go okay in the future, time stops while they're here so nobody's worrying about him, and he gets a vacation. Win-win! Ish!
He looks curiously at the stove, trying to divine exactly what she's making (and whether or not it would be rude to ask to try some), then decides some pleasantries are in order. ]
I'm Magnus Burnsides, also known as the Hammer, but just Magnus is okay. You?
no subject
I'm Tina Belcher. Which doesn't sound nearly as cool.
no subject
He looks down at her with a hearty sort of laugh before exclaiming, ] Don't count yourself short! Tina Belcher is an excellent name! It sounds like...
[ It sounds like she probably burps a lot. Hm. Maybe he shouldn't say that to a child. ]
Hey, waht are you cooking there?
no subject
[She grins, loosening up a little bit, before taking a taste of her stew.]
It's beef stew. Even though I can supposedly cook anything perfectly thanks to my powers, I thought I'd start with something that's a bit hard to screw up. And it makes enough to feed everyone.
no subject
[ Tina, you be you. You've been graced by Magnus' blessing. He leans over the pot, sniffing another couple of times before asking, ] Mind if I try a bite? It smells really good!
no subject
Nah, I like being womanly. I have my brother and my dad to be the manly ones in the family. [She nods, standing on tiptoe to fish a bowl out of a cabinet, lading up the stew.]
Tastes pretty good to me, though I wouldn't mind another opinion. My power is to be able to cook anything perfectly as long as I follow a recipe.
no subject
It's delicious! [ He swallows. ] And, might I add, that's a sick power.
[ As usual, he's jealous. ]
Have you met Taako yet? About this high, wears a big obnoxious hat, ears out to here? Bet you he has a couple of recipes you could try.
[ He looks down at the bowl. ]
Can I have the rest of this?
no subject
You know, everyone keeps saying so- I've had a few requests to be a personal chef, too. I never thought people could get so excited over me being able to cook well.
[She gestures for him to help himself.]
Please, do. And yeah, I've never met someone that... green before. He seems nice, though.
no subject
[ Magnus falls upon his surprise meal like a starved man. He should really stop to savour it, but he's always been a shovel-it-in kind of guy, and he's not stopping now. ]
That's because half of the people here are from worlds without elves or dwarves or anything interesting, [ he says through a full mouth, then swallows. ] 's what he is - an elf. [ He rubs some of the food sticking to the stubble around his mouth with his sleeve. ] And if you think he's nice, that means he likes you.
[ Because boy, Taako can be a real asshole. ]
no subject
A real live elf... [Tina seems very pleased about that idea.] And you're right, I don't have anything like that where I come from. No elves or magic or wizards... just ordinary people, no superpowers. Being here's taking some getting used to.
