Solomons Residence, 6th
What did the average person do when someone told them something that they didn't want to hear? They might at first be angry, then after a time come round to acceptance.
But Gemini was not one to let a good grudge slip, she was still stuck on the anger phase, and would not be moving on until she had done something about it. Alfie Solomons would pay for his defiance and Gemini would thoroughly enjoy herself in the process.
Alarm systems were meant to detect a door being illicitly opened, and were simply not designed to detect the small blob of Gemini's form as she began to ooze through the minute crack at the bottom of a particular apartment's front door. Once her substance was through the aperture she quickly and silently began to bubble up against the back of the door, spreading across it and flattening in a paper thin layer, seeming to vanish into the surface as she took on the same colour and texture of the painted door.
Sooner or later Alfie would wake and get ready to leave, and then Gemini would set her plan into motion.]

There! As Alfie fiddles with his coat a block-tipped tentacle erupts from the back of the door, lancing out with just the right speed and force to knock Alfie unconscious and not smash his skull.]

[The tentacle retracts slowly, pulling back towards the mass now emerging from the door, a mass which steadily gains humanoid shape, colours and textures warping until an exact duplicate of Alfie Solomons, clothing and all looks down at the real deal on the floor.]
You're going to regret not taking my offer Mister Solomons.
[When she speaks it's with Alfie's exact pitch and tone, and after a moment she leans down, yanking his hand up to peer closely at the fingerprint patterns on his hand, her own fingers rippling into exactly the same configuration. Now that she's so close to him Gemini's more than a little tempted to kick Alfie in the side and break a few ribs. But that would add unwanted evidence of her presence, so instead she rises, making a final check of her appearance before walking out the door.
It was time for Alfie Solomons to be a bank robber.]

He knows what happened. That much is clear and obvious. What he hasn't figured out yet is who, or why. He has some theories, and some leads he'll want to follow up on, but nothing really concrete yet. That'll change, he thinks, the moment he gets out of here and can start talking to people.
Fucking hell, what a ridiculous day.]

Moving through the station like she belonged, (and who would question it), it took Maria a little longer than normal to locate the main surveillance room, stepping in to make small talk with the officer there, distracting her while an elongating finger crept into the computer monitoring the cameras, severing the power supply to the cooling fan. It didn't take long for the system to overheat, the screens suddenly going dead, drawing a gasp of concern from Maria and her colleague.]
I'll go check on the prisoners. [Maria assured the other officer, feigning dismay at the breakdown and immediately making her way towards a very particular cell. Pulling the nightstick from her belt, 'Maria' ran it along the bars to gain the occupant's attention, smiling a thin vaguely malicious smile as she looked over at him.]
How are we Solomons, comfortable?
no subject
Yeah, it is. Nice for a prison cell.
no subject
Get used to it, you'll be in one like this for awhile. Still that's what you get when you break the law...or piss someone off enough that they decide to put you here.
no subject
I'm an imPort. Yeah? You lot don't imprison us. I'll be out and going about my life soon enough.
no subject
Ah yes of course you get a Probation Officer following you around instead. Prison sounds preferable. [She cocks her head, smile widening as she taps the bars again.]
Gonna share any of that money you stole with me Solomons?
no subject
no subject
Oh that's right, you don't know where it is do you?
no subject
[He reclines back against the wall, watching her with half-closed eyes.]
-- that you've already made up your mind, haven't you? So why are you asking me?
no subject
[Her grin grows more malicious, her lips starting to twist literally as her face starts to move unnaturally, twisting, morphing, her voice sudden;y entirely different.]
Because I'm the one that put you in there.
no subject
... Yeah, do I know you?
no subject
Don't you remember our meeting in they alley? I made you a perfectly reasonable offer which you refused and now you're here. I'd call that fitting.
no subject
No, nope; can't say that I recognize you.
[It's a lie, of course, but one that seems to be getting the effect that he's aiming for.]
no subject
Very funny. Recognise me now?
[Her features shift again and this time 'Alfie' stares back at Alfie, his features, but Gemini's venomous smile.]

I wonder how long they'll keep you on probation, long enough to make your 'business' activities doubtless. [She muses out loud, trying to prod Alfie into a reaction.]
no subject
[He sits back again.]
It's two months, yeah, if I'm convicted.
no subject
[Despite the smile playing at her mouth Gemini's eyes are as cold and hard as flints.]
Two months isn't so bad, although it'll be longer if you decide to start talking about me.
no subject
Goodness. That's fucking terrifying, that is.
no subject
Scared now?
no subject
[And while it is a horrible-looking form that she's taken, he's telling the truth. It's starting to get a little harder to keep the annoyance out of his voice.]
These fucking parlor tricks, right - they just don't do it for me. Understand? Yeah. Now - are we done here?
no subject
Go on, mouth off now, oh that's right you can't. [Gemini gloated, not releasing her grip, sadistically waiting for Alfie to begin trying to struggle for air.]

Shall we do that again? I'm keen if you are.

[She pouts in a mock baby tone before slapping him hard, to get his attention.]

Talk about me, and you can look forward to more of that and much worse, groan if you understand me.

Hoisting Alfie up by one hand she dumps him unceremoniously on the bed, so that if he does pass out it'll look like he's sleeping and not unconscious. While she could call a doctor herself Gemini's not feeling that charitable. Passing back through the bars she looks back at Alfie one last time, speaking loudly and clearly before heading off down the corridor, her words lingering behind her.]
Remember what I said!
