[For a few stomach twisting moments, Yurio wonders if Adachi is going to leave him here. It's a ridiculous thought to any objective observer, but while he's stuck hanging in the air watching Adachi skate away it feels like a very real possibility. He doesn't remember to breathe until the Persona had set him down and moved to follow Adachi across the rink, and he doesn't budge from his spot once his blades are on the ice again. He might have stayed there until Adachi left, stiff with alarm and anger and confusion, if not for that last quip.
Much like the last time they met in the rink, it's far from the worst thing that's happened or been said to him. It doesn't hold a candle to the pot in De Chima, or Tetsuo threatening him over the network, or even to some of the things Adachi has said to him in this conversation! But it does chip away the final measure of restraint he's been holding on to.
There's no way he can cross the ice and get his skates off quicker than Adachi can leave, so instead he focuses on the tight knot of rage building in his chest and shouts in the most deafening voice he can muster, praying for his voice's power to kick in at full force. If he can't knock that look off Adachi's face, maybe he can replace it with terror. ]
