WHO: Minako Aino/Sailor Venus and YOU
WHERE: around Heropa
WHEN: June 20-22nd ish
WHAT: Minako getting into all sorts of trouble
WARNINGS: TBA
Heropa Mall, June 21, 2014: Shinjiro Aragaki.
It was nice day out and Minako was determined to make the most of her weekend. She didn't have to work and since teenagers here didn't have to do school on Saturday, she decided she would drag someone out shopping with her.
It seemed hard to believe that people gave her money for being here and doing an easy job but hey, she decided she was going to have some fun. She was sure if Artemis or Rei were here she would get a lecture on how she should be responsible and save her money but they weren't and she was going to spend the day with a cute guy.
He seemed like he needed to get out more so she had shot him a message to meet her at the food court that Saturday. It wasn't as if she would take no for an answer, as she had sternly told him but she was determined to make this a good day for him. Dressed in a pair of shorts, a tank top under a blue jean jacket and sneakers, she was ready for a great day.]
Heropa, Residence #14, June 20-22, 2014: OPEN.
[Another weekend, this weekend entailing a Saturday detention which left her in a grumpy mood. Who knew those little yellow slips she had just stuffed in her bag would add up to actual consequences, she was starting to miss teachers making her stand outside the classroom or clean. At least then she had detention with Usagi, not sitting alone surrounded by sullen delinquents.
But now that she was done with that, she headed home with her bag over her shoulder, she was ready to properly enjoy the weekend like any teenage girl would.]
Heropa, evening of June 21, 2014: OPEN.
[Venus stood on a roof, looking down at the busy street below. Her short orange skirt blew lightly in the chilly wind but she didn't seem to care about the cold night.
She was a soldier, she was supposed to be doing something but instead it felt like she was just playing at something. She knew her friends back home would be fighting to protect Earth, maybe without her, after fighting a war for their very survival. Her fingers clenched around the cool beads of her chain, feeling the metal through her gloves.
Her thoughts were distracted by a sound behind her, a shadow and she was in motion, whipping the chain up and around her, ready to take off or fight as soon as she determined the threat.]

He'd debated it, really. After all, he was too serious and too boring. Hadn't participated in many normal 'teenage hangout' activities in years. But the messages had been needling and crisp and clear with their demands-- and it got him out of the house and actually trying to act like a normal person, for once. That's what he keeps telling himself- this is what people who aren't acting like they're gonna up and die do. And that's why he needs to man up and just go to the damn mall.
So while he's a few minutes late (these huge malls are so much different than what he's used to-) he shows up nonetheless- Jeans despite the heat, with his hands shoved into the pockets of them securely, shoulders up and curved forward in his typical shitty slouched posture. At least his hair is pulled back and away from his neck for once.
It takes him a second to spot the girl in the crowded court, and he finally lifts a hand in greeting as he sights her and approaches. A bit awkward, a bit unsure, but making an attempt to just-- act like he's a normal person. It's hard, okay.]
-Hey. You here long?
no subject
She doesn't let him be too awkward as she grabs his arm to start pulling him along.] Malls here are so great aren't they? So many things to do and see, where do you want to go first? [She asked as she peered at him.]
no subject
The one back home only had like... eight or nine shops. So yeah, this is pretty big. [Seriously, he's not used to this-- All the flashy stores full of clothes or electronics or sickeningly-sweet scents wafting out.]
I don't- think I need anything right now. [So unsure.] What're you needing to pick up?
[no shinji a mall is not like grocery shopping. He'll clue into this eventually.]
no subject
No one really goes to malls to find things they need, they go to buy things they see and want right then. The fun is going to look at things even if you don't buy them. [She said matter of factly, dragging him to a video game store to go look around. It seems they have to work up to clothes shopping in small steps.]
What kind of things do you like to buy?
no subject
And with sigh, and he nods at her words. And feels completely ridiculous: of course, most people didn't go to the mall to pick up first aid junk for nightmare hikes up a monster-filled tower, or shady under-the-table dealings with a police officer for new weapons. Most people just-- shopped.]
I didn't- have too much spare cash back home.
[It's a casual admittance, and he shrugs. It's also an extreme understatement, seeing as he practically lived on the streets for two years.]
I'd say I could get a new coat, but it's so damn hot here. [So he'll just-- look at some of the consoles around the store. He's seen dormmates play them, at least- Their leader was playing that one MMO damn near every weekend.] You like these?
no subject
Same here, I didn't have the time for a part time job back home with school and other things. [She said as she picked up one of them once she let go of him.]
Do you like video games? I love them!
no subject
And hey- here we don't gotta pay for rent and anything. So might as well get used to doing something with the cash.
[He glances over as she picks one up, and shakes his head.]
I've played stuff in arcades, but never had one at home. You got any recommendations?
no subject
I like this one, it's really easy to use and you can play some awesome games with it. [She said as she handed it over for him to look at.] it's great for action games which is what I tend to play.
no subject
And it would at least give him something to do, rather than just stick in his boring routine. Though he doesn't commit just yet, looking from the small handheld console to the games racked up on the wall for it.]
How do you know which ones are any good?
[God it's like he just came out from under a rock or something.]
no subject
I like this game, it's a lot of running around but the fighting takes some skill. [She said as she grabbed a game from the shelf.]
no subject
[Being invited into a girls room, wow-- Though hey, maybe it was hooked up in the living room.]
If I did get one, it'd probably be one of the ones you can carry 'round-- [Though he does go ahead and set it back down.] I'll think on it for a bit.
[....And likely come back and pick up a Vita or something because hell why not.]
no subject
You should definitely think about it, they are a lot of fun to play. [She said with smile.] Come on, lets go check out coats for you then in the meanwhile, we can come back here afterward if you'd like.
no subject
Sure. Like I said, it'd give me something to do.
[But-- alright, he'll consider how much it would be, and they could check out coats in the meantime. No problem.] What sort've thing are you looking at getting?
no subject
I'm not sure, I think I could use some more clothes, it's really strange not having to wear a uniform to school every day.
WHOOPS studying consumed me.... (yet i return!!)
[Besides, it's... just a normal thing. And if he's going to be in this world so far removed from his own and all those burdens and responsibilities and whatever else? He might as well try out some of that normalcy he'd rarely had.]
I didn't know they didn't have uniforms. [A pause as he considers-- but it makes sense, since none of the kids he counseled were ever in one.] Then yeah, might be good to make sure you got enough.
it's alright!
It's really strange, isn't it? Being allowed to wear anything you want, including your outdoor shoes, in class. [She agreed, it had been a little bit of an adjustment for her.]
no subject
Yeah- still weirds me out how half the guys I live with don't take 'em off when they get inside.
[And he frowns at that. Seriously, tracking mud and shit inside...] Guess they don't care so much about it here.
no subject
[She commented matter of factly.]
no subject
I didn't expect it to be so different. Not that I ever thought about coming over to the states...
[And one of his roommates eats like crazy it's disgusting okay. Freaking Space-psychics.] But it ain't all bad, I guess.
no subject
[Minako assured him with a smile as they headed out of the store. She lead him towards what looked like a good clothing store where they could look at coats for him. She was looking forward to help him pick out something super stylish.]
no subject
[He looks up as they walk outside, pausing to let a small crowd of people go by- before continuing in the direction they'd originally been traveling and finally trailing over into the shop indicated.
He knows next to nothing about fashion, but none of it looks bad- just general men's clothing, from shirts to ties to whatever else- and all a bit more fancy or pricy than anything he'd even consider looking at back home. (But hey, such was the benefit of having an income here.)]
I had a wool peacoat back home- but I dunno if it gets cold enough here. ['had' because he'd never been able to get the bloodstains quite out of it.]
no subject
After a moment of consideration, she shook her head and placed it back on the rack, before selecting one she liked better and giving a satisfied nod.]
Here you go! I think this style and color would look good on you!
no subject
... The hell?
[She shakes her head to clear it. Now she's seeing Sailor Moon?]
Skye, you are really going crazy.
no subject
She knows that people here tend to like heroes and while she's not really going to pose for photos at the moment, she sees no harm in giving the woman looking up at her a wave and a smile.]
no subject
... There's only one way to find out, she supposes. Shrugging to herself, she goes around the side of the building to see if she can find a fire escape she can use to get up onto the roof.]
no subject
She couldn't understand why but she didn't run for it, instead hurrying over to where the fire escape seems to be to make sure she's not going to fall.]
You should be careful, it's a bit windy tonight.
no subject
[She calls it up, but immediately pants with exertion right after. Goddamn, this is a lot of stairs.
Eventually Skye reaches the roof, and she has to lean against a railing for a minute as she does, panting.]
Phew. Wow. That was a lot of stairs. And you're really Sailor Venus. Okay. Good to know. I can. I can go on with my life now. I just need to... sit down for a second.
[She sits-- rather quickly-- in a heap.]
no subject
You're from the same Earth as I am! [She exclaimed, surprised.]
no subject
[Shit. Perhaps she hadn't thought this through. How do you tell someone they're a fictional entity in your universe? Answer: you don't. Skye doesn't want to lie to her though, either. She's still reeling from the revelation that the real actual Sailor Venus is standing right here in front of her. She'd read on the network about this sort of thing happening to other people, and she'd even entertained the possibility of herself being fictional in someone else's universe-- casual dangers of infinite parallel universes, right? But even so. She's not sure it's polite to open with that.
Suddenly, she realises she hasn't said anything for way too long.]
Sorry-- still out of breath, I guess. I've never actually like... seen you in person or anything? I live in America. But you're really famous over there, too.
Oh wow, this is so cool and kind of freaky.
no subject
Really?! I knew I was famous in Japan but America too? I guess I'm not too surprised, being the natural idol that I am! [She said cheerfully as she sat down carefully beside her.]
Well, it's nice to meet you! What's your name?
no subject
And I'm Skye. It's-- really, really good to meet you, too. Um. Sorry this is approaching "weird" levels of fangirling so I'm going to just... stop. Now. Yeah. You should, uh... go back to your crime fighting... thing.
no subject
no subject
'Cause... here I'm a programmer for Tony Stark's company. Back home, I was kind of a... tech specialist for SHIELD? Which... you don't have. In Japan. Uh. SHIELD is a US government organisation that protects the country from supernatural and other-worldly threats. Among other things.

Wow. That must suck. [Skye's maybe projecting just a little. She misses her own team terribly.]
no subject
It kind of does, I still miss everyone but they deserve to be happy back home.
no subject
Me, I just want my team here no matter what.
no subject
We can be friends though, if you'd like, maybe it will make us less lonely here. [She offered with a warm smile.]

I'll give you a call on the network, so if you get a message from a pretty blonde high girl, that's me!
no subject
Aren't you supposed to like... not give your secret identity away and stuff, though?
