WHO: Krul Tepes and Mikaela Hyakuya
WHERE: A nearby park that's close to her residence Heropa #23
WHEN: early in the morning on March 3rd
WHAT: Krul decides to swing on the swings and talk to Mika about the dilemma that is her brother being stuck somewhere.
WARNINGS: None as of right now, but who knows with her temper. Will edit if needed.

[ It's early in the morning as Krul sits there on one of the swings in the park, fingers wrapped around the chain-link handles, nails painted in pink tapping gently at the cold metal. She's left a note behind for the blond vampire Mikaela Hyakuya to meet her at the nearby park once Yuu has left for school so that they can discuss some things in private. Judging from the time and where the sun peeks out in the sky above, it shouldn't be too long now until the blond meets her here.

Yuu is still unaware of her brother and just where he happens to be. In fact, she's almost positive that he doesn't even know she has a brother to begin with, Mika having been the only one she's ever really indulged that little bit of information to, moreso upon her arrival here. While she can't necessarily fault the other boy for being oblivious to her brother and the fact that he happens to be in a contract with him, she can't help but feel a certain sort of annoyance towards him, knowing that he's the one who uses her brother-- his power to kill vampires. To think that she's been searching for a thousand years for him and when she finally seems to have discovered just where it is that he's ended up... she doesn't have a clue how to free him, let alone if she's even able to speak to him anymore.

Rather than allow her thoughts to swirl into anger and have her rip the chains of the swing out of the wood they're bolted into, she slowly begins to swing back and forth, the only person here at the park for the moment with the occasional passerby who only gives a glance to her. It's just as well it's only her for the moment as she's not entirely sure how she might react to having to talk about all of this more in depth to the blond vampire. Who, speaking of, she smiles a little, feet dangling over the sand as she swings. ]

Making sure Yuu has his lunch packed for school?

[Predictably, Mika arrives when she tells him to. It's a chilly morning, so he wears his large sweater and Yuu's scarf as if not to stand out too much. He can't help but be a little worried. Krul doesn't call for him unless she has a reason, and those reasons have been... troublesome, in his experience. Perhaps someone from home has arrived and she needs to warn him. He doubts that is the case, because if it was she would have wanted Yuu to be warned as well.]

[It's really so strange to see Krul in normal, human surroundings. Her small stature and pink hair makes it so easy to think she's so much younger than she is. It's a good disguise, he has got to admit. It must shock her victims when she kills them.]

I don't want him to go hungry.

[Although Krul may have said it as a joke, Mika shrugs and doesn't refute it. Yuu does the same for him, always making sure that all his needs are met.]

Why did you call for me?

[ From the marks on Yuu's neck, he definitely ensures the blond is taken care of in a manner of speaking.

Krul smiles as she continues to swing back and forth, dressed still in her usual attire, not having bothered to change into anything else nor found a reason to "fit in" as Mika seems to try and do. She's a vampire-- an old one at that and so she has next to no care in the world should anyone find out what she happens to be. If she's feared? Good. If she's not, she doesn't care. She is what she is and there's nothing that can change that.

However, her attention falls back onto the blond vampire when he asks why she's called for him and, despite her earlier smile, she glances away, still swinging back and forth. ]

As wonderful as a time I'm having here with the two of you, there's still someone that Yuu has that I've been searching for over a long period of time.

[ She looks back to Mika, crimson eyes rather serious rather than playful as they had been when he first arrived. ]

My brother. I want him back.

[In a way, Mika would be more disturbed if she decides to change her attire. He's gotten so used to her fashion choices that to see her go for something more human-like would just feel strange. Rather like finding her and Kaneki on the couch.

He doesn't quite want to ask, in case it's a sore subject, but Krul is so much older than him that she might know the answer. After a moment of thought, Mika takes the chance.]

Is that possible?

[ There's a moment of silence that falls over them, the creak in the chains of the swing being the only sort of sound between them aside from the breeze in the trees or cars passing by a little ways up ahead. Finally, she glances off in Mika's direction, though doesn't look at him. ]

I don't know. [ And she absolutely hates that she doesn't. ] I wasn't able to locate him back in our world. It's only here, when Yuu tried to attack me and he mentioned the name that I figured out he's contracted to my brother.

[ The fact that it's taken her so long to actually locate the whereabouts of her brother... the deals she's made for information, the things she's done that could paint her as a traitor among her own kind... all for her brother, all to bring him back to her.

Her jaw tightens, fingers gripping around the chains and her legs simply dangle there as her swinging begins to slow. ]

I want him back. I want him with me.

[When the silence descends upon them, Mika feels like he truly asks the wrong question. When Krul takes a long time to answer it's usually a warning. Today it's only because she doesn't know. That is the best of the possible outcomes.]

[It's a strange thought that you can be a vampire for so long and still not know everything about the condition. At least it's a small comfort that she wants to find her brother. Some things apparently doesn't go away with time.]

I understand.

[He truly does. It's the same kind of desperate need he has to be by Yuu's side, he imagines. Mika glances in her general direction, but tries to do the same thing she does; looking towards her rather than at her.]

Perhaps Yuu-chan knows more.

And perhaps he doesn't.

[ There's an almost bitterness to her tone as she speaks about the boy. She... doesn't really have anything against him per se... it's more that she grows irritated when she's reminded of where her brother has ended up and how she can't even come to think of a way to set him free from a curse he's been placed under by humans of all things. Never mind that the First Progenitor took him away from her, he's not exactly off the hook for that either. But somewhere down the line, Ashera had ended up in the hands of humans and that alone is unforgivable to the tiny Queen.

Her irritation shows with the way her fingers grip tighter at the chains of the swing, the wood around them at the top beginning to slowly crack while she tries to restrain herself from ripping them out. ]

This is why you can't trust humans. They took my brother and sealed him in a weapon... a weapon that Yuu uses against our very kind. [ Glaring to Mika, her eyes are filled with a silent sort of rage then. ] He uses my brother to kill our kind. To try and kill me.

[ And that's all it takes before she stands off the swing and snaps the chain out from the wood, cracking the swingset to have it topple over and crash into the sand. ]

[Mika's first reaction is to defend Yuu, but the conversation moves before he can do so. As nervous her sudden aggression made him, he reminds himself that she's not angry with Yuu (probably). She's angry at the situation.
He stands perfectly still. Running when Krul is in one of these moods is such a bad idea. It triggers the hunting instinct.]

[What she's saying hits him harder than he wants to admit. Not because he knows her brother, but because he can easily see Yuu being used in the same way: tortured, sealed away because of his powers and then used against his loved ones. It's perfectly human to do such a thing.]

[He feels a kind of helpless rage just thinking about Yuu being used that way. His poor, sweet friend deserves better, and so does Krul's brother, he presumes. Mika takes a small step closer, looking over his shoulder to see if anyone's coming too close. Luckily they have their privacy for now.]

Yuu-chan wouldn't--

[He stops himself, although not in time. Yuu wouldn't hurt her if he knew who she was.]

I mean. Humans are awful, but he won't do that to you.

[ Somehow, no one was hurt with her ripping the swings out from the wood and more or less tossing them aside onto the ground. But it's Mika's words that have her looking back to him and none too kindly given how protective he is over the other boy who has her brother under contract. ]

You say that because of who he is to you and you don't want me to end up killing him for trying to defy me.

[ She's not stupid and she laughs a little under her breath at Mika somehow thinking that she is. It's with a brush of pink strands over her shoulder that crimson eyes flick their gaze back to the blond vampire and, slowly, she smiles a little. ]

Lucky for him, he's incapable of even touching me. [ And as eyes narrow some. ] Consider him lucky for that.

[ The chains from the swingset are tossed aside as she continues to stare to Mika, eyes serious-- fixed almost coldly on him as though she's still unimpressed with his desire to protect a human over a fellow vampire... over his Queen.

That's when she decides to say it. Say the one thing that she knows will upset and even frighten the blond vampire. But, given her own feelings towards this, it's not so unrealistic of her to say in the heat of the moment. ]

I've considered killing him so that my brother may be set free.

[While Mika doesn't quite think of his predicament in the same black and white terms Krul does, she is right about one thing: he doesn't want to see Yuu killed. It overrides everything else.]

[Mika trembles lightly, caught in that unpleasant, panicked place between fighting or fleeing. He won't raise a hand against her. He's not an idiot. But the need to stand up for Yuu is an instinctive thing; he blurts it out before he can stop himself. It doesn't matter that Krul is telling him, and has obviously made the choice not to kill Yuu. What Mika hears is only that she's considering it.]

You can't!

[If his heart could beat, it would hammer in his chest. Mika's mind scrambles for any kind of information that may change her mind. There has got to be something. It doesn't even occur to him that it sounds like a challenge to her authority.

Even now, he believes that it's possible to defeat vampires through brains instead of strength. Mika never learns.]

He's-- he's-- linked to your brother. You won't be able to speak to him without him.

[ She would never actually kill Yuu. She needs him and loves him as she does Mika. Of course... this was before he mentioned her brother's demon name and it was discovered that he was trapped inside the very sword that he wields and uses against vampires in order to kill them.

But it's when Mika speaks up-- when he tries to defend Yuu that he says something that... catches her interest. ]

Speak to him?

[ And it's within the blink of an eye almost-- her speed so much faster than the vampires Mika has been surrounded with ever since she took him in, that the blond vampire will find Krul right in front of him... but with her arm reaching up towards him and her hand wrapped around his neck. Tightly. There's an almost fire in her eyes as she stares to him with a rather blank expression, fingers gripping at him tighter as she squeezes. ]

Are you suggesting that you know something I don't?

[ Careful, Mika. You don't want her wrath to be directed at you, do you? ]

[It all happens so fast that he doesn't try to defend himself. There's nothing pleasant about being choked. Even if he doesn't need air, not anymore, his body still wants to breathe and it resists the grip, eager to be released. Necks are fragile things and Krul doesn't need to squeeze that hard to make him scared she'll crush his windpipe.

Mika grits his teeth from the pain, stumbling to stand up straight. He ends up supporting himself with one knee on the ground. It's an unpleasant position to be in, because it forces him to look Krul. When he's so completely at her mercy he'd much rather look down or away. It's humiliating to plead with her with his eyes.

This time around he stays silent, thinking seriously about what to tell her. It's not like he can use his voice when she's squeezing his neck anyway, but perhaps that was her point: think before you speak.]

[ There might be an onlooker or two, mostly concerned for Krul's well being more than anything with how small and young she looks while Mika more or less towers over her. But for the most part, they're left to themselves and Krul slowly smiles as she watches Mika struggle against her strength.

She normally doesn't act so unkind towards the blond vampire, only when she feels he needs a reminder of just who he is in regards to her. However, on the topic of her brother and any sort of information surrounding him, not even Mika is exempt from her potential wrath and punishment. ]

You want to try that again, Mika?

[ And that's when she releases his throat, allowing him to pull away from her should he choose though she remains there in front of him with that smile having disappeared from her face for the moment. ]

What do you mean by speak to him?

[It doesn't look good from an onlooker's point a view; if anything, it looks like an older teen harassing a young girl. Mika is aware of it, which is part of the reason he doesn't make a scene even though it hurts.]

[Coughing, his hand shoots up to his throat protectively. It aches from being held so tightly, but thanks to his vampire blood it doesn't take long before he can speak again. He'd glare at her, but from experience he knows it wouldn't do him any good. The punishment is just that: a reminder that she can dole out pain if she feels he deserves it and there's nothing he can do about it.]

...He must have. He knew things.

[ Despite her small stature against Mika, she stands there proud and without an ounce of concern for how she may come off to those who wish to look over at them. Given how early it is in the morning, there aren't many to really bother them or inquire about everything being ok or not.

Lucky for them, considering Krul might rip their arms off if she were to be disturbed right now from her little chat with her son here. ]

Who knew things? Are you telling me that you've spoken to my brother?

[ Be very very careful with what you say here, Mika. She doesn't look too thrilled. ]

[Mika finally looks away, feeling like the more he speaks the more her attention focuses on him. It's not an entirely pleasant feeling, especially since she's dropped any pretense of being in a good mood. He'd prefer not to get choked again.]

If he is the demon that troubles Yuu-chan ...Barely.

[It's perhaps not the best idea to tell her how the demon repeated his shameful desires back at him; so what if Mika wanted to run away with Yuu and find a peaceful place to live with him? He hasn't abandoned those huamn friends of his despite his reservations.]

[ Barely is still something and Krul suddenly finds her patience wearing thin over this. That's when she reaches out for the blond vampire and grabs him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him towards her as crimson eyes practically pierce into Mika's own.

It's obvious that the topic of her brother is one that seems to stir something-- something emotional within her and perhaps it's a side to her that Mika hasn't really seen much of up until now. Regardless, nails dig into the material of Mika's shirt as he holds him by the collar of it. ]

What exactly did he say? How were you able to speak to him?

[Mika can't very well look away from that gaze. She's his Sire. Trying to lie to her while she looks at him that closely is downright impossible.]

He uses Yuu's body, somehow.

[Mika could try to lie nevertheless, but what would be the point? He understands the compulsion to find a family member all too well. He'd do worse to people to get information.]

Is it possible for demons to possess other people's bodies?

[ There's a moment where Krul falls silent and does nothing but stare to Mika, fingers still wrapped tightly within the material of the blond's collar. So Ashera uses Yuu's body, does he? She's still not all that familiar with how demons work with the humans and just what sort of experiments they've done on them-- on her brother.

His question remains unanswered and she forcefully drops Mika's collar from her clutches, turning then as she begins to walk away from the blond vampire. ]

Perhaps I should have a little chat with Yuu then.

[ And it's the way that she says chat that sounds bitter--- sinister almost as she moves to leave from the park then. ]

[Mika doesn't quite know what to make of her reaction and for some reason that worries him more than her rage. Getting to his feet, he follows Krul away from the playground. Wise from injury, he keeps a respectful distance.]

Wait. Yuu-chan has classes! You can't ask him now.

[ Oh, Mika. To be so bold and think that you can tell her of all creatures what to do... it's almost cute with how protective he is of the other boy that he would risk injury to befall him with acting so careless around his Queen.

Krul stops and turns to face Mika, a smile on her lips with a deadly fire in her crimson eyes. ]

My, you're certainly determined to try and show me up, aren't you? First you keep things from me and now you're thinking you can tell me what to do? [ There's a laugh that Krul gives, sweet but sinister all at the same time. ] Something tells me I've been too soft on you lately. What do you think? Do you think I should fix that, Mika?

[It didn't even occur to him how forceful he came across. All he was thinking about was how to avoid Yuu's demon taking over while he was in class. Showing Krul the proper respect somehow came second to that.]

[Looking at him reminded him of how it felt when he was still human. Still prey. Something about the look in her eyes made Mika aware of how breakable all the bones in his body were. He took a deep breath; held it in, then exhaled.]

[Other vampires would tear off each other's limbs to make a point. In that regard, Krul was downright patient with him. He didn't want to risk the truce he had with her, even if it went against every instinct in his body not to stand up for Yuu again.]

No. You don't have to do that.

[ That's much better as far as she is concerned. Regardless of being considered her "favorite" of sorts, she still won't think twice about cutting him down and flat out reminding him of his place with her and how he is nowhere near her level of strength or speed. ]

Good. You know I love you after all.

[ And she smiles as she says that, strands of pink brushing over her shoulder as she turns then to continue walking away from both the park and the blond vampire. ]

I never said I was going to speak to him now so it just goes to show how reckless you are with jumping to conclusions.

[ She adds in after, giving the blond vampire a rather unimpressed glance over her shoulder for a moment. ]

[He follows her even without being asked. A weight has been lifted off of his shoulders now that it's obvious Krul's more patient than he is. It's very stressful when Krul makes him have to choose between Yuu and herself. It feels like they're arguing, although Mika's not quite sure what they're arguing about.]

[He doesn't even care about looking foolish in front of her. He's just relieved that Yuu's not going to be cornered. That said, it's much more obvious why Krul is exasperated with him now.]

[The playground is in shambles as they walk off. Mika can't help but worry that her temper will flare the same way when 'talking' with Yuu.]

I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking.

[ She keeps walking even as Mika follows, knowing that he will trail after her much like a puppy would its master-- because that's exactly what she is to him: his Master.

With a bit of a chuckle under her breath, she huffs then. ]

Of course not. Only thinking of Yuu and nothing else. [ She cuts a glance back at him for just a moment. ] And he's supposedly the brash one.

[ Though she continues to walk, there's another glance back to Mika, crimson eyes almost piercing his own with the intensity of their stare. ]

But don't mistake me for someone who will sit by and let my brother remain a prisoner to a human. Even Yuu. [ Looking back ahead, she keeps her gaze focused forward. ] You would do the same for him if he were in my brother's situation.

[ And, after a moment's pause, she smiles to herself. ]

Maybe he will be one day.

[Krul's words cut, just as they're supposed to, but he doesn't hit home until she delivers the final blow. He stops up completely. No. Yuu can't become a full demon. He simply can't. The thought makes him nauseated with fear. They'll find a way to make him grow more human again. Mika is more certain of that than their plan to turn him human again. Yuu's still a breathing human being. There has got to be hope for him.]

[But he can't keep Krul waiting. Pushing the thought down as he clenches his fists, he starts to walk again. The image of Yuu tied to that wall, horned and possessed and softly saying everything that Mika wants... It won't leave him alone.]

I would.
