WHO: Kaneki and More!
WHERE: Everywhere
WHEN: 10th to 14th February
WHAT: Heaven Scent event
WARNINGS: Possible blood since vampires and ghouls are involved.

vilani ]
1. KRUL
[ The Swear-In was a mess, as usual, but at least only smell was involved and not some anti-imPort group, or a crazy megalomaniac imPort, or even the Russians. While he certainly couldn't handle the smell as well as he wanted, still it was much better than having to defeat some giant robot or fight off armed men. But there was still something bugging him. Not the fact that somehow they managed to explode a perfume making machine (how in the hell?), no... something else.
He felt funny.
Kaneki can't put his finger on it and he isn't sure how to describe it either but... strange. It's just strange. There were no news on it, no one was acting that strange on the network or around him, and the natives really don't seem to know what he's talking about - the smell of that evening hasn't gone away (to his dismay), so perhaps that's what is happening. And Kaneki tries not to think too much about it because he knows how obsessive about some details he can get. He will do his normal life instead, like taking a night stroll and perhaps go grab something to eat.
And along the way he happens to notice a familiar pink head not too far from him, and so Kaneki decides to come closer to greet her ] Hello, Krul-san. How was that for your first Swear-In? [ he hasn't seen her since then, so Kaneki is actually sort of curious to know her opion, though he has a feeling he knows what she'll say. ]
2. KRUL + MIKA + YUU [continuation of the first prompt]
[ The night went well, of course. Kaneki showed Krul around the city for a bit, he even showed her where he keeps his food, and let her taste a bit of bloodwine. It's weird that she looks 15 and she drunk the ghoul equivalent to alcohol, but she is actually very old so he decided not to worry about her age. At the end, he decides to walk her home, even though she wouldn't need it, but the ghoul is a gentleman in some ways and Kaneki prefers to make sure she'll be alright.
Once they reach the door of her housing, Ken stops stops to turn to her with a small smile]
Here we are. [ safe and sound, of course. ] If you need anything else, let me know.
3. HINAMI
[ it has been a while since they've spent the day together, so Kaneki decides to take the day to be with Hinami. Though they could certainly do a lot of things, one thing he thinks it could be very useful to Hinami is learning how to cook. She can eat normal food, after all, and it's important for her to learn at least basic cooking skills (since no ghoul ever needed that, Hinami certainly doesn't have any of those).
he supposes he will try with what he knows the best, which is Japanese dishes. After buying all the ingredients he needed, kaneki places them on the kitchen counter to display them. They'll start with Miso soup, that sounds easy enough. Probably. ]
Hinami-chan, you will need to wash your hands, alright? And put on an apron.

Something definitely isn't right about that.
However, it's when she runs into a certain ghoul she's chatted with (both over the network and in person at the swear-in) that she stares to him with those crimson eyes of hers. She doesn't mind him, doesn't have a problem with him and, in all honesty, prefers his company over most. ]
Unimpressive. [ Her tone matches the word. ] Though I shouldn't be surprised that they can't even run something as simple as that without disaster.
no subject
Something always happens, really. I don't remember many Swear-Ins that went as planned. [ it's not surprising. ImPorts and many natives, as well as the national media, gather around Swear-Ins, so it's the perfect target ]
I can say this was one of the least... violent. [ no one died, no armed men... yeah, aside from the sudden explosion and the horrible smell, it went over all okay. Except for the DNA swabs, he is pretty sure that will bite everyone in the ass ]
no subject
Perhaps the next one will make up for that then.
[ She shrugs for a moment, a glance around her before crimson eyes settle back on the ghoul. ]
Do you not sleep and it's why you're out here wandering around as you are?
[ For herself, no, she doesn't sleep. She's capable of such a thing, should this immortal life of hers prove to be boring or simply dragging and she wishes to doze off for a couple centuries or so. But it's not needed, not something that re-energizes her or anything of the like. It's simply done to cure boredom. ]
no subject
I do sleep. [ SHOULD sleep. Kaneki is not stable enough to actually sleep well the whole night and often wakes up during it. So he prefers to walk around for a while and when he feels tired, he goes home and maybe sleeps a bit better. ] Just not as much as other people, I guess. [ because he is a mess. but Krul doesn't need to know that part ]
Don't you? [ during the day, perhaps?
INSIDE A COFFIN.....]2.
The fact that he feels the need to walk her here is... sweet, especially with him not being a guard or anything of the like. To simply want to do so out of his own desire and not from an obligation... that's something new to her and it causes her to smile a little as he stands there outside the door; how strange to think he makes her smile so much lately. ]
There is. Follow me.
[ Gently, fingers take hold of Kaneki's hand and she gives him a gentle tug as she goes about opening up the door. She already knows Yuu's not here, his scent being in the place but not his presence currently and so she's decided upon herself to invite Kaneki in. Of course, even if Yuu was here, it's not as though she needs some sort of permission for such a thing. How laughable to even think such a thing.
The place is really nothing special and it's not as though she's done anything to it in terms of decorating (what does she care after all?), but it's where she stays and so it's a sort of "home" for now. Heels clack against the flooring as she guides Kaneki throughout the place and towards the couch, tugging him to sit with her as strands of pink fall over her shoulder and crimson eyes stare to him bright and curious. A gentle squeeze to his arm, nails painted in pink give a playful sort of scratch against his arm before she rests her head against his shoulder, her own arm wrapping around his to keep him close. ]
Sit with me.
[ In regards to his offer of being able to do anything else for her. It's strange but... it almost fills that emptiness inside her that has been there since her brother's disappearance. Not entirely, but very close. ]
no subject
But he thankfully doesn't. Merely dropping the groceries to the bench as he sees them from the kitchen.]
Er, hey, Kaneki?
[He's. Just surprised, never having seen Krul act quite so friendly or affectionate to anyone. Well, except maybe Mika but even then. He knew the two had been chatting and all, but not that he could expect Kaneki to visit. Not that he has a problem with it. It's just.....unexpected.]
no subject
[But he's still not mentally prepared to see more people in the house, even if he heard them move around a little earlier. It's the first time he's ever seen Krul be friendly with someone in that way. With a disturbed look, his head tilts to the side, but he remains wisely silent.]
[...Is she planning on feeding from Kaneki? Is that safe?]
no subject
It's nostalgic to him as well, since Saiko too did that a lot. Kaneki spoiled her far too much, but always did like a good
motherfather would and cleaned Saiko's ears, did her hair, or just read for her because she was too lazy to read herself. Something like this, feeling Kurl leaning against him, brings a smile to kaneki's lips, who rises his hand to pet her head -though he doesn't get to do that since Yuu and and Mika arrive. What's with those stares?
Kaneki blinks back at them, noticing the groceries almost falling on the floor - Yuu, don't drop the food like that - and then nods softly as a greeting ] Hello- Krul-san said it was alright for me to come in. [ sorry, you guys have a cannibal at your place.
And ultimately no, Krul can't feed on Kaneki even if she wanted to, since his skin can't be cut. ]
no subject
Of course, there's the stares that they seem to both be getting from Yuu and Mika, who, almost seem to drop the things on the floor (not that she would care what with only drinking blood) for whatever reason. Her head remains against Kaneki's shoulder, arm around his, crimson eyes staring to the two who have made their way back from... shopping, it seems.
Slowly, a smile comes to her lips, nails gently scratching against Kaneki's arm in a playful manner rather than with the intention to cause any sort of harm to him. ]
So you know each other? I suppose that leaves out any need for introductions then.
no subject
[But....well, he supposes it's good? If Krul is getting along with others here? Or something. Yuu shrugs, turning his gaze from them in moving to start at least putting any frozen foods away before they melt or get too warm.
Really, Mika probably knows better than him on how Krul generally is. How..normal this might be. But from what Yuu has experienced, this is. New, to say the least. He's talked to Kaneki a few times, might be vaguely aware of seeing him or hearing him talk to the other two, but still hadn't quite anticipated this.]
no subject
[Yuu is correct in that Mika knows Krul better, and if he pays attention to his body language, he will notice how disturbed he is.
She never touches anyone. No one except him. Seeing her touch someone's skin like that actually makes Mika's skin crawl, and it's not because it's Kaneki's she's touching. Well, maybe a little bit, but only because it feels like she's found a new favourite.]
[Well, that is certainly a new and uncomfortable feeling. He lets Yuu deal with the groceries; he's the one that's going to eat all of it.]
You've made a friend.
no subject
He glances at Yuu, just to see if he needed help with the groceries, but Kaneki doesn't have time to ask that as he hears Mika, turning to him instead ]
I decided to show Krul-chan the city. [ he did just change the honorific YES ] There is still much to see, specially the other cities, though. [ and finally he reaches to rest his hand ont op of Krul's head, petting her. ] We should go sometime again. You and Yuichiro-san can come too, Mikaela-san. [ using full names because he really doesn't know them that well. ]
no subject
Under any other circumstances, this would not go over well. To be... touched like this. But, strangely enough, she doesn't seem to mind and instead, it seems to calm her almost, fingers gently giving a squeeze to Kaneki's arm as she remains there close against him.
Of course, she notes the way that Mika stands there-- the way he look to her and she finds herself smiling a little as she focuses her attention on the blond vampire. ]
And? You seem to have made some yourself here.
[ Besides, Kaneki is not human (not entirely) and so there's little problem with her being friendly with the ghoul as far as she sees it. At Kaneki's suggestion, she smiles again. ]
Yes, we could all go together next time.
no subject
[Almost nearing a year, in Yuu's case. He's...not sure how to feel about that either for that matter. But he tries to focus on getting the groceries sorted as the others talk, his back to Krul and Kaneki as he puts the food away. He does note how....tense? Mika sounds, but he'll get to his friend once this is sorted. At least it doesn't take him long, what with him being the only one of the three of them that actually eats food.]
Where would we go?
[He asks as he finally finishes with the groceries, coming back to stand next to Mika, looking from his friend to the other two.]
no subject
Good point. We should familiarize ourselves with the nearby cities.
[He turns to Yuu and looks at him as if saying "can you believe this?" with his eyes. That doesn't stop him from taking his hand once he's within distance, of course.]
Just in case.
no subject
Kaneki hums as he thinks for a moment ]
Well, which city you still haven't seen? Each has their own perks but- [ there is a pause ] I suppose Krul-chan would love Maurtia Falls at night. [ because that does seem right up her alley, not because the city is pleasant but because it has a lot to offer to vampires, ghouls, and generally people that need to feed on others. ] But the others have a lot to offer too. De Chima is known for its technology, Nonah is lively and Heropa is a pun. [ He loves puns, puns are important. ]
no subject
But it's those fingers through her hair that cause her to feel calm and content and even lean in against Kaneki just a little more. It's... strange to feel so calm like this around someone she barely even knows. ]
If you think I would love Maurita Falls then that's where we should go.
[ Lifting her head just enough to look up to the ghoul, she smiles a little before her attention turns back to her two seraphs. ]
Don't you think?
no subject
[But well. Maurtia Falls does have a reputation for a reason. It probably would be the one Krul would prefer, he has to agree. If only for taking advantage of the crimes and violence for her feeding or something. But Yuu figures she's probably managing that fine, between the artificial blood and her particular job. On top of him offering himself if necessary.
His fingers easily and instinctively lace with Mika's, as he seems to give something of a slight shrug in response to that look the blond gives him. He's not sure what to make of this either, but he's learned from being around the likes of Shinoa and Nike to just roll with things most of the time by now.]
no subject
[He looks to Yuu, confused. At least Yuu's hand is his helps to calm him down significantly. He squeezes his hand gently before tugging him along to sit on the couch with them.]
[Maurtia Falls could be interesting. But then again, he'll have to work twice as hard to keep Yuu safe if they go. He looks to Krul and Kaneki and can't help but remember that neither of them are human. Of course that place will be better suited for them. And for him, as well.]
[It's a little risky to speak up against Krul, but Mika wouldn't do it if it wasn't for his friend's safety.]
I am not sure it's good to bring Yuu-chan there.
no subject
Kaneki shrugs softly, though. If MF is out of the question, there are still three other options ] There is also Nonah. [ where he lives, but he rarely tells people that since the house is meant to be mostly a private place where others can't just drop in ] And of course, you can also travel to other cities that don't have a Porter. [ the porter is just easier, though.
Kaneki's fingers eventually take a hold of one of Krul's strands to braid it slowly, while she still leans against him. ]
no subject
Thankfully, she's a responsible enough girl she never tried on her own, even after she could eat human food. She barely knew how to turn a stove on, nonetheless actually make something. ]
Do you have to wear an apron every time?
no subject
Alright, Hinami-chan, we are going to try miso-soup today. I don't taste it as I make it- [ naturally. ] -and I also don't smell it. [ also naturally. ] but it's important when cooking: to taste and smell. So you'll recognize it when you are making it and if something is off, you'll be able to tell.
no subject
[ she has no actual basis for comparison but WHO CARES. ]
But what if you taste it so much you eat it all?
no subject
You won't do that- you only want to eat when everything is ready, or else it'll not taste as great.
no subject
[ apparently there's rules for food, at least in Kidou's mind. ]
