If Higashikata's power was a rarer one, then it would give him a distinctly strange advantage. Sure, he couldn't heal himself, but that kind of power in the middle of a group would be a force multiplier. Kidou was fairly certain he couldn't even grasp all the implications behind what that could do, and for that he was honestly glad.
And if it wasn't common, then it would never be suspected. If people couldn't see it, then no one would know to target Higashikata. And if no one targeted him... could his entire group be stopped? Hm. Kidou's letting himself start projecting into scenarios that he isn't all that happy contemplating, already. And ones that he never would have jumped to before he came here.
