[As they near their destination, Kidou grows quiet, taking it all in while trying to bite back a bemused expression. From the bright colors, to the tacky decorations on the windows, the place wouldn't feel all that out of place in a faire or carnival. By his own admittance, he's never been somewhere like this, so he can't say if that's normal or not. For all he knows, this is just what a malt shoppe is like.
When it comes to order, he ends up turning that quizzical stare briefly to Josuke. It only lasts until he jokes about it, though; by then, the surprise has worn off and he goes back to looking at the menu to hide an amused smile of his own. By the time the waitress turns to Kidou, he doesn't order right away. Instead, he asks her what she likes here, and picks one of the options she suggested - one of the hamburgers, to add to the variety on the table - and water. Not even a shake. By comparison, Kidou's downright boring.
Patty jokingly asks him if he's sure that'll be enough, to which he says yes, he'd be too concerned about fitting it all on the table. Laughing, the waitress leaves and Kidou turns his attention back to Josuke.]
