Even when you thought you had every way he could respond mapped out and planned for, he always did something you wouldn't expect to work but would.
He'd likely would never say it out loud, it was wasted effort to do so with how things now were, but it was regretful that even here he had missed that chance to maybe share a team with Endou. To see just what it was that seemed to pull so many towards him and gain some understanding of it. It was a fleeting thought, even back home there was no point in dwelling on such.
Genda only turns to Kidou after stepping back, hand falling away and to his side with the motion. His expression is the oddity, as it doesn't smooth back into it's normal default expression as quickly as it normally would when caught out like this. It feels cheap to pretend he wasn't affected by the implications that had settled when he had stopped this tire.
