[It does sound messed up, when he puts it that way. Riku shrugs quietly, leaning just far enough that he can rest his chin in his palm. His wings stretch to the side, thoughtful.]
For me... I'm used to commotion, and I'm used to things being strange. My life hasn't been normal for -- four years, maybe, now. I was fifteen when I left home, and I'm nineteen now. You just -- adapt, you know? On a long enough timeline, people can get used to anything.
[That's his honest belief. Things become normal after awhile, things you'd never consider normal. Carrying around your best friend's comatose body, guarding it, but never needing to feed it or take care of it beyond that. Following around your body, watching it and the thief inside it go on as if you never existed. Wandering in the darkness for so long that you end up lost. Being someone else for months, becoming aware that you can never go home. And then, once you do get home, you get dragged off to another world with no way out. Riku feels like he's had enough practice getting used to things to really know how much a person can get used to.]
Though, I'm not expecting anyone else to feel like that, don't get me wrong. I'm kind of a weird case.
