[This guy isn't wrong. Kidou's been here for half a year now. He's not surprised that's a known fact, either; the spotlight has always been on him in one way or another. This world has an irritating habit of shining it where it doesn't belong and hasn't been earned, unlike his own.

Since it seems like he's going to be stopped here for a while, Kidou's hands appear briefly from beneath his cloak, only to tuck themselves away against tightly folded arms. All too casually, his head turns to follow the guy, making no secret of the fact he's keeping him inside of his narrow field of vision.
He's not usually one to opt for excuses. It's easier to just never offer one. But perhaps it wouldn't hurt to further a false impression, since the alternative could be being followed again by someone who's apparently far better at staying in the background than Kidou would like. This could be a problem if he stays that curious. (Not much of one, which he'd have to acknowledge if he could stop being a melodramatic weirdo.)]
