Kissed a girl and exploded~
WHO: Mick Rory & Leonard Snart
WHERE: Mick's room, Heropa 20
WHEN: Following this post.
WHAT: Leonard attempts to communicate.
WARNINGS: He can't communicate well.
It's not too surprising that when Mick comes into the room, Leonard is sitting on the ground, leaning against the bed, his knees pulled up and his head leaned back and turned to the side. What's a bit more surprising is that he's basically making faces at Mick's dog, who repays him by butting his head against Leonard's. Good dog, really.
When he heard Mick enter he looks up lifting a hand lightly to wave. "Hey."

"Hey, what's up?"

What was up, really? There's a woman on the network who means so much to him and who he means nothing to and that realisation had made breathing difficult for a while, but given she doesn't know, is that really something? Not really, but that's what's upsetting in itself. So he finally lifts one shoulder in a half-shrug.
"That blonde on the network. I know her."

On the network, blonde. Mick tries to think for a moment, but there is that one who namedropped Star City. "The one asking about pizza places?"

"Before you..."
Exploded. This conversation is sobering on many levels, not least that it reminds him, again, that Len's dead. And for once this feels like a gut punch. He hadn't thought about it for a while. And they've been a Thing for a while now, and the idea of losing him -- getting ported out would be bad enough, but if he got ported out now knowing that he'd be leaving to die? It hit him all of a sudden.
Len. This is about Len and this woman.
"Sounds like her not remembering your mission is bothering you."

Finally he pulls back, although he keeps his hand on Mick's shoulder, giving a slight nod. "We got close. Ain't a lot of people I'd say that about, period."

Though at his comment, Mick lets out a little breath from his nose, not quite harsh enough to be a snort. "You're not exactly the Mr. Chattypants, no."
To most, Len came across as cold. Restrained. Closed off. Sometimes even to Mick, still, but the difference is he knows that's not really true. Len definitely has feelings, he just doesn't like to let them show. If he says they got close, that means they really did get close.

"I've been thinking about moving." Maybe out of nowhere, but with Sara's presence it has driven home how much he doesn't belong and there's not a lot of upsides for him to live in a noisy place with seven hundred animals and only one roommate he truly cares for, one he gets along with somewhat and one that disapproves of him and his relationship with Mick. Besides, he has irons in the fire, he can afford a place by himself. "I reckon you'd not wanna come with, so I'll see about staying in Heropa. Even if it's way too hot."

It had somehow never really occurred to him -- it's not that the Rogues always lived together even when they were a team, but it's different here. Here they're in a strange world, as seemingly benevolent (despite the Cold War) as it is, and it just seemed... natural to want to stick together. That's why James moved in so quickly.
But Len wasn't really one of them. He's not Captain Cold. And this relationship wouldn't work if he was. He's not really one of them, not the same way. But the point is to talk about it right? Mick isn't sure what he wants. He knows it's not a breakup, if him coming with is an option, that much is for sure.
He wonders too if he would have stayed if Lisa was still here. Mick's been afraid to bring that up, and isn't going to start now.
"You want your own space."

Which is what's making this awkward, especially since the relation from Sara's arrival to his moving out is probably only obvious in his mind. Sara was on his team. Not this one, but she will be. But James and Piper? Hardly. "I ain't registered, so I'm only allowed to live here cause you haven't kicked me out yet anyway. Not really my style."
no subject
The Other Mick. Mick doesn't really want to address that either, and latches onto the 'don't wanna see you less' as an anchor to his emotions. This isn't about the past, this is about the now.
He does snort a little. "I wouldn't kick you out. And they wouldn't either, if they like their stuff safe and unburnt. But where're you gonna live if you're not registered? They're not gonna give you a place."
no subject
"I thought about doing this weird thing some people do and actually paying for a place. I got money, when I want it."
