( OPEN ) ; there's a dangerous kind of cool about you

WHO: Wanda Maximoff & OPEN.
WHERE: Various; locations listed in prompts under the cut.
WHEN: Last week of January; dates ranging from specific to general listed in prompts under the cut.
WHAT: Wanda does things. (And as another note, please feel free to reply in brackets or prose because I'm not picky and will match whatever you like.)
WARNINGS: None to start, but will update in subject lines if needed.

(01. | around Nonah & De Chima | January 23rd-31st; please put a specific date in the subject line)
Wanda has decided that it's time for some sort of change, so on the 23rd, she gets her naturally dark brown hair dyed to a reddish-orange mixed with a yellowish-orange kind of look (basically like this). Something more drastic than her change last summer with a shade of lighter brown in her hair.

A lot of time in her days is spent working at her bakery (most of the things she makes here come from the the Eastern European/Southeastern Europe region of her home universe) in De Chima. After which, she sometimes just goes right back to Nonah -- as opposed to hanging out in one of the other porter cities for a bit. Her apartment where she will either lounge around in for the rest of the night, or just stay long enough to change into something else and goes out for a walk or run (one of the few times she will wear pants), before returning to eat dinner and then lounge around.

(02. | in & around Heropa | January 28th)
The nice thing about Heropa is that even in the winter months, it's fairly comfortable (and thus the weather better accommodates 99% of her outfits that consist of short spring/summer dresses, or skirts and some sort of loose shirt with maybe a lighter jacket; more or less like this), so this is where she is spending her Saturday.

Mid-morning finds her at a cafe, where she is making herself comfortable in the outdoor seating at a table with two chairs, slowly making her way through a large mug of hot tea, and reading a book. Her feet are resting on the chair at the other side of the table, one foot crossed over the other. She'll be here for a couple of hours, at least.

After she's spent enough time at the outdoor seating of the cafe, she stuffs her book back into her purse and starts wandering around, because she feels as if she's been sitting way too long, as nice as it was -- time to stretch her legs.

She comes to a park eventually, and she walks around it for a while. Seeing several smaller twigs that have fallen from trees, she decides to stop and lift them up with her telekinesis. Red wisps circle her hands -- primarily around her fingers -- and also circle around the twigs as they move. She's going to balance them in a strange geometric shape for a moment with her right hand, before promptly using her left hand to send a blast of red energy at it, splintering the wood. The splinters don't fly off a million feet away in a million different directions, though, because she uses said energy again to hold the splinters back before they have the chance to fly off and spread. It works as nice target practice and control.

heropa, park. 27th just after midday?

It's been a while since Akito had taken his dog, Benji, to the park. Because of recent events he hadn't had the opportunity, and with all the attention imPorts have been getting... Normally he would shapeshift to look mostly unrecognizable but with Benji that becomes moot point - around Heropa people know that the dog with the prosthetic leg is his.

Right now most people are in school or at work, leaving Akito free to drag both his dog and his grumpier half to the park with him. A quick Split and they each have their own body, easily passing as twins (if Akito had thought ahead he would have Split before leaving so they wouldn't be in the same outfit, but hindsight is 20/20, as they say). The novelty of two sets of hands still hasn't worn off, even with the added disadvantages.

Agito is the first to notice the woman and her telekinetic show. Usually Akito is the more observant of the two, but usually Akito isn't being jumped on by an overexcited Australian Shepherd mix. A quick mental nudge makes his better half aware of their current metahuman company, and an equally quick stick throw leaves Akito free to watch with wide-eyed curiosity as well - at least until Benji comes barreling back with such speed that his leap knocks both of them off their feet and into the dirt.

"Fucking mutt," Agito grumbles, irritated. He had planned to try watching unobtrusively for a few minutes more, so of course Benji messes shit up. This is why cats are so much better.

Akito sits up with a laugh, throws the stick again - this time with an added atmospheric boost to burn off some extra canine energy and give them a slightly longer break. It takes them a confusing few moments to disentangle their limbs and, after pulling stray twigs from each other's hair, they're as good as new.

"I've never seen telekinesis with an aura before," Akito pipes up, always the more social of the two, knowing that even had their presence gone unnoticed before it certainly wouldn't now.

"You say that like we've seen it before," Agito huffs, earning a playful knock of their shoulders. To the woman he adds: "Assuming that's standard telekinesis and not an offshoot branch of it."

While with Akito his posture and tone were more open and relaxed, when addressing the stranger Agito holds himself higher and keeps a tone and expression that both imply he's anything but a people person. He also makes sure to keep himself slightly in front of his other half at all times in a way that seems more instinctive than purposeful.

"...Was it?" Akito asks, ever curious. "Ah, that is... Is it standard telekinesis or a specialized subset of it?"

((ooc: it's been ages since i've done a log tag with them split so excuse the length and any weird errors. hopefully this works o.k.!))

"Telekinesis limited to specific kinds of objects or elements, like metal, air, fire, or water," Akito explains easily, then pauses. By that definition they would count as having a type of telekinesis with atmospheric molecules, wouldn't they? He tosses an querying glance to Agito who seems to be of the same thought and sees him nod so Akito decides there's no harm in mentioning that.

"We can manipulate air and water, but it was classified as elemental manipulation. We can move lighter things around indirectly that way, too."

Agito, being unusually helpful (or not so unusual if you consider it's mostly for Akito's benefit), demonstrates this by manipulating the air around a stick and levitates it midway between them and the telekinetic woman. He is about to let it drop when he spots Benji bolting back toward them in the distance, so with a quiet grumble he whips up a concentrated gale and throws the stick at an angle away from them to give the dog even more space to run.
