[Growing up, the stories she read with her elder sister, and her other sisters, were all about princesses and their princes. Their knights. A man and a woman. But those storybook "facts" are all pushed aside as one face comes to mind at Viktor's reply -- the man with the glasses and the soft expressions and large appetite she glimpsed on the other side of the counter. Someone who can make this person in front of her smile the way he does. He looks like Gran when he looks at her.]

... I think that's lovely. I'm glad you two are together. [even if the world they're in now is how it is.]

You should come visit us with Gran sometime. It was fun having him over, and I'm sure Makkachin would love to see you again too.

[It's still a little hard to shake off the foreignness of making friends outside of the Sun Garden, no matter how many people she actually meets and acquaints with.]

[She takes note of his usage of the word "we" and concludes that by "we" he means his own opinion and Yuuri's assumed opinion.

She supposes that's fine, too. And her expression relaxes into a smile.]

Fairly well, I think. Getting used to the powers that were given to us is the biggest challenge so far. Are they always so crazy?

... Not always, I think.

I arrived here with things that were already mostly familiar to me, but some people come from a world where powers are only fiction or illusions performed by magicians. Some powers are more subtle while others are dynamic.

Ah, really? My world doesn't have anything like that either, but you have powers like that back home?

[sasaeru]

One of my abilities here is to change into a uniform I wore for a long time. I'm assuming it works like armor, since it was made from sturdy material to begin with.

But I've retained the ability to use hissatsu techniques as well. It's... something unique, I think, to soccer in our world. Has Gran spoken to you about it?

Not in any detail. Can I see it?

Er...

[This is where her eyes widen with surprise, narrow thoughtfully, then drop to the ground -- or rather, to Makkachin's face where the dog is perched between them.]

I don't have any I could perform on my own. Mine were usually done with three players... and I don't player soccer, um, anymore. Here.

A group power? Ah, and were you injured? Is that why you don't play here?

It wasn't an injury.

The way I approached the sport before was a mistake, so I decided until I find an answer I think is right, I wouldn't play myself.
