WHO: Genos, Saitama
WHERE: Maurtia Falls
WHEN: 15 December
WHAT: Genos gets into a fight and it has unforeseen consequences
WARNINGS: fighting? temporary blindness?
Genos with his luck, and of course charming personality, had to sooner or later get another run-in with one of the native super powered humans. One that wanted to play a villain.
Or rather use his skills for crime.
Like vandalism. Not organized one, not a mafia, probably just unlucky kid with bad-timing and foul mouth, who thought that challenging one of the ImPorts - Genos isn't one to merge with rest of the society easily - is a good idea. Genos of course obliged. The only thing he needs is to pull his punches, and subjugate the opponent, then police will - or will not? - take care of him.
Either way, not his problem.
And... now there are fight sounds coming from one of the back-alleys, dangerously near Saitama's apartment.

There was a particularly loud sound, like a thump, and he angrily opens the patio door, prepared to throw a bucket of water on whoever is making the noises like they were a couple of cats caterwauling.
But instead of just two hooligans going at it like he expected, he spies Genos.
"Hey, Genos."

"Sensei..!" he's stopped mid-sentence by the another attack, which he doesn't even dodge. The guy has incredible speed, gotta give him that, but his hits lack strength. He probably haven't realized yet how to use the velocity for a tactical advantage, so Genos just shrugs off a hit. Perks of a cyborg body.
And a way to show him how leagues above he is.
"I'll take care of this quickly."
no subject
"What was he even doing?"
no subject
Once again, Genos didn't even bother to flinch at the next attacks, as long as the fists were in use, nothing really could hurt him anyway. He continues talking as if the attacker wasn't even there. Maybe he should have done that from the start.
"Looks like he doesn't like the ImPorts, and hates being made like one of them"
Of course, thanks to lowering his guard, and ignoring the opponent, he does not notice him picking up a tool. A quite big chunk of the pavement that got crushed in their little spar.

"This city isn't exactly fond of the ImPorts. Or to people that might resemble the--" he's cut short by the hit with that pavement.
If it was just falling, he could probably shrug it off. Probably, is a keyword, as whenever a much stronger force is applied to thrown object - or Genos himself - the risk of taking damage rises. Of course generally there aren't that many opponents who can throw rocks with that much force. The thing is, his opponent now, does not throw it, he uses it as a ram along with his super speed. And it turns to be super effective, as Genos is thrown off balance, and toppled to the ground.

But that doesn't happen as fast as it should have.
And the kid whoops in victory, and Saitama leans over the patio, concern growing. "Uh, hey...? Genos...??"
no subject
Genos doesn't move from his place though, with one hand checking the integrity of his skull.
"Sensei, are you still here..?"
no subject
"Uh, yeah, same place as before," he replies, attention going back to Genos.

Because he's not really looking, at all. He hoped that perhaps the short vision problem would go away the moment he looks at the sky - much lighter then the area they were in. The usual thing, blurry lights sharpening until everything is clear.
Not to this time, everything is completely dark, as if his eyes were closed. Just in case he checks his face, maybe something is obstructing his vision? Maybe he does have closed eyes for some reason? But even with closed eyes, if he wanted to he could still see information and combat hud that was displayed directly to his retina.
Still nothing. He extended his hand again, this time in attempt to look for a wall that should be nearby.

"Uhhh, Genos, something wrong?" he calls out, leaning on the railing with both hands, prepared to leap down if needed.
no subject
It's hard to admit it aloud, like if doing so it would make it not just real, but also permanent.
"I'm waiting for my vision to return, but it doesn't"
no subject
"Are you sure?? Have you tried opening your eyes?"
no subject
"It's not working. Maybe it's a temporary error, and the subsystem needs to restart."
He sounds equally hopeful, and scared. Because what if it's not the case. What if it requires a repair, from an engineer he doesn't have here. Fortunately Saitama is still here, with him it can't be that bad. They'll find a way to work this out, right?
"Could you.. help navigating me, sensei?" He doesn't want to be here out in the open while vulnerable.
no subject
He flips himself over the railing, landing on the ground 2 stories down with ease. He walks over cautiously, as if he might spook Genos if he's too fast and loud. He stops in front of him, scratching his chin in concerned thought. "You're okay to move? Not dizzy or anything? Should I look at your head? He clocked you good."
no subject
Genos takes few steps in the direction he heard Saitama land, but he can't even pinpoint it exactly, and notices a small struggle to keep balance. Making steps small and careful, is one thing, but if he was to walk normally, what would happen?
"My head hurts, and I feel... weird." In fact dizzy would be a good word to use. "I'm trying to run diagnostic, but I can't see the results."
He's still trying to keep saying that in calm collected manner, but the more prolonged the blindness is, the more erratic he gets.
no subject
"Can your body tell you if something's wrong with the electronics without you seeing?" he asks, turning Genos' face back up to face his own, but the black eyes just stare at him blankly. "Like, can it talk?"
no subject
And they are not, since he still got full face. Which only causes to confuse him further.
"The hit didn't connect anywhere in their vicinity..." He should start seeing again by now, but, well nothing. His hand reaches where Saitama's is, covering it for a short moment, until Genos takes it away awkwardly.
"Was the skull breached?"
no subject
no subject
Not that it ever happened. Not counting maintenance and tests in fully controlled environment. But he'll take this possibility over full panic mode over sudden blindness.
"Sensei, I... require further assistance, in getting back to your place."

The tug on his elbow tells him a vague direction where to go, and he makes his few first steps. And without prompting he walks into an already knocked over trash-can. That's enough to make him lose balance, and try to gain it by two quick steps forward.
no subject
"You all right?"
no subject
"I'll be more careful from now on. Please, lead the way."

He was so dependent on doctor's presence, that he didn't realize how little he knows about his body.
It looks good so far, following Saitama in silence, only that hand he holds leading him to relative safety. He's not alone here, he's got Saitama, someone he can trust. When they reach inside the building things get tricky.
"Stairs should be somewhere around here... right?" Either three steps or two from his place. Most likely
