WHERE: Random restaurant near to the houses
WHEN: Backdated to the 4th
WHAT: Simon and Athena have a long overdue talk.
WARNINGS: none

[ Simon had mixed feelings about the situation. While knowing that Athena was safe and that everything had turned out fine in the end was a relief, he would have preferred if she had remained unaware of the less pleasant details - he wasn't sure just how much she had found out, but by her reaction he could guess that she knew that he was meant to be executed soon.

Either way, they definitely needed to talk. So he told Athena to meet him at a small nearby restaurant, of the size to have a conversation in relative privateness but still big enough to not attract any unnecessary attention.

As he waits for Athena, he goes over the menu without really paying too much attention to it. Taka is also perched on his shoulder, looking just as disinterested as Simon in the paper in front of them. ]

[Athena, once she gets off the communicator, is actually sort of nervous about this. Despite everything else, she hasn't actually sat down and had a conversation with him since she was eleven. At least one where he didn't pretend not to know her and attack her with birds. So.

She walks over to the restaurant, or, honestly, takes it at a jog most of the way because she has a bit too much energy. But he's there before her anyway, sitting at a restaurant like an ordinary person. It's a little surreal.

Anyway, she comes inside, at least making an effort to be normal and cheerful, and grabs a seat across the way.]

Hey! Oh good, food, I'm starving.

[ Though he hasn't decided yet, he puts down the menu and slides it towards her. He's pretty sure he's going to end up losing his appetite, anyway. ]
