I wish I could reach out and hold you close
WHO: Maya Fey and some other cool dudes
WHERE: Multiple places but mostly within Heropa. Because it isn't cold there.
WHEN: End of November (11/25-11/30)
WHAT: Maya's down after Pearl and Nick are ported out-- and on top of that, it's winter again. Some people wanna take a stab at chilling her out. Fun hangout times ahead.
...And also some action threads I forgot to do throughout the month because i'm a goober i'm sorry
WARNINGS: Probably alcohol warning and other adult content and potentially discussion of murders
1. For Komasan
[Maya arrives at Heropa 028 a bit sooner than she'd expected; since she's been running around between Nonah and Heropa she'd forgotten some of her other friends had also moved to Heropa. She's brought two boxes of those pre-wrapped ice cream cones with caramel and chocolate at the bottom, because if Komasan hasn't tried it yet, he needs to.
She pulls out her communicator when she gets to the door, just in case there's roommates she could disturb, and calls Komasan.]
Hey, buddy! I'm right outside. Let me in!
----
2. For Tex
[It has been TOO LONG. Far too long. While Maya and Tex have been corresponding over text, poring over her phone on breaks between filming has nothing on actually hanging out with the foul-mouthed soldier herself.
It's about time for a good old fashioned girl's night in, complete with a wrestling marathon.
Maya has no shame about knocking on Tex's door because, well, the people Tex could live with probably wouldn't care. So she knocks carelessly, hanging onto a big bag full of platters of mcdonald's pancakes and sausage biscuits.]
Ageeeeent Texaaaaas!
[She calls out in a phony deep voice.]
Captain Fey requesting entry!

For Ken
His old room, she reminds herself-- and someone else's, if he doesn't come back. But his things are still here, and his pillow still smells like 2-in-1 shampoo and aftershave.
She sits on Phoenix's bed in one of Kaneda's shirts and the fluffy pair of magical girl pyjama pants she'd worn to McDonalds during Thanksgiving the year before, holding Phoenix's pillow and staring at the floor. That's three people now. Edgeworth, Pearl, Nick--
Maya looks up, seeing little paws and less-tiny-than-before feet pass outside the door, and she calls out--]
Hey.
[Before wondering why she did.
Didn't she want to be alone?]
no subject
Maya-san.
[She was here, huh? He stops as soon as he hears her voice, Koromaru pausing once to look at him, then her, then back to him again before rubbing his head against Ken's ankle and trotting off in the interest of herding together the other animals of the house, out of the way.
And Ken turns to face her fully and steps across the threshold into the room, crossing the room, walking toward her. And he sits down on the bed next to her with a little hop; the mattress sinks and rises with his weight, and soon Maya will have a small, warm body sitting next to her. The tail of his dog-motif'd hoodie bobs with his motions. The hood -- complete with a doggy face and ears -- falls of his head to hang over his back, and his curly hair bounces with every move of his head. He smiles up at her gently.]
Hey yourself. You're going to get cold just wearing one of those t-shirts.
no subject
These pants are pretty warm. Fleece. Remember? Last year.
[She holds up her leg half-heartedly, pointing it just like she did while at McDonald's buying pies with Edgeworth.]
Besides, I left my sweater in Kaneda's room. I'll grab it later.
[Looking at Ken's sweater, she adds--]
Yours is soooo cuuuute. [As always.]
no subject
[That is in fact a good part of his motivation.]
It's gonna be a quiet holidays. Do you want to hang out with us this year?
no subject
It will be Christmas in no time, but that brings with it much less festive memories. Maya shifts a little, leaning back on one palm and shrugging her other shoulder.]
...Yeah. We can all make dinner together again.
[This time with some planning.]
no subject
There's something my friend made last year that's delicious. Kaneda-san has the recipe book. And you know our Netflix password -- not like we ever log out -- and you still have our keys. My room's always open and I have a heater in there for the animals.
[He nudges her.] You don't have to do anything. But I can provide you a house where it won't be empty.

Long story short, Komasan rushes the moment he gets her call, and it's evident by the horrible tumbling noises that can be heard from behind that door. I'm not gonna say he fell down the stairs, but he might've...fell down...
...the stairs...
The door swings open, Komasan had taken on his human form while he waited for her to arrive, mostly because it made cleaning up easier. Of course, he doesn't address her right away, instead his attention is on the door and how easily it opened...]
The door wasn't even locked, zura...
[He could've just...told her to come inside. Wow, that could've saved him a trip down the stairs. That he definitely didn't fall down.
Silently, he swings the door a bit, as if confirming that yes, it can open quite easily, before finally realizing that Maya would probably like to come inside by now.]
O-Oh! Um... So, this is my new house, zura...
[He gestures for her to come inside.]
no subject
But that's fine. She's got just the thing to make it better.]
It looks great!
[She holds out the boxes of ice creams as she walks in, grinning at him.]
Ta-dah!
no subject
[Well, so much for trying to stay quiet, although it doesn't look like anyone's coming to investigate. The house is fairly normal for the most part, although when they pass the living room, there's a good number of photographs of friends. Like some sort of bizarre collection of memories. Even then, it's not that strange, at least not compared to the shenanigans that used to take place at N5.]
You brought a box, zura!
[A soft cream box by the look of it. ...Wait, is it? No, it can't be... What...what is this?]
Ah... I've never seen this kind before, zura...
[He gives the box a curious look as he leads her into his room, and let's be real, it's probably the best place to eat ice cream in anyway.]
no subject
Komasan! It's so cute in here!
[She tells him, before waving her hand in direction of the ice cream despite not looking at it. It's fine, Komasan, it's good, don't worry.]
no subject
Heh, it's just the same as it's always been, zu—
[And then it hits him.]
...You've never really been to my room before, have you, z-zura?
no subject
[She lays back on the bed and whines a little, because modesty is not a word she is acquainted with, and kicks her feet.]
I wanna take a break! We're not filming all December, okay?
[Maya sits up again, holding up a finger and stating very seriously; ]
No time traveling next month.

For Kaneda
Sometimes they're also convenient excuses to see if Kaneda's at the house. Whatever. She's gotten lucky this time, and slides into the kitchen in a loose knit dress, giving Kaneda a perfect set of finger guns and winking.]
Gooooood afternoon!
no subject
At least...not right away. Tadashi was the only one to break that rule so far. And something tells him that even if a freak accident like that happened, it wouldn't be for awhile.
So his brows raise when he hears that voice, head spinning as he's making onigiri for Ken's lunch the next day. But not one to really slack off when it comes to witty comebacks, he smiles down into the rice cooker.]
You just couldn't stay away, huh?
no subject
[She teases, putting her stuff down on the table and taking a few quick steps over to stand behind him.]
You happen to see him around?
no subject
[And just like that, any and all smoothness Kaneda may have had in that moment is lost, replaced by wanting some attention from the one girl he wanted attention from the most.
Unfortunately, he sounds like a fuckin' idiot doing it.]
no subject
Good to know.
[And, stepping up on her tiptoes, she kisses the corner of his mouth.]
Hey, cool guy.

It's not often their schedules align to allow a meet-up. When the moment arose, Tex was glad to offer her place to host.
When she hears Maya's voice accompanying the knock, she smiles lightly as she approaches the door. One foot stays against it, blocking it from being opened fully before she cracks it open just enough to make communication easier. ]
That depends, Captain. Did you bring the entry fee?
no subject
Even brought extra. Just in case.
no subject
I think that's enough. Just this once. How've you been, kid?
no subject
[Maya jokes, knowing damn well there's no way she'd get away with a fake ID. She hurries in, putting the pancakes down on Tex's coffee table.]
You're just gonna have to wait.
no subject
[ And while she doesn't quite trust Maya with a fake ID, she trusts her to drink in the safety of Tex's place. She reaches for the remote and once Maya's hands are free, throws it over to her. ]
