[ One of the problems with super speed that the comics never tell you about: the average pair of sneakers is not, as a rule, designed to hit pavement at the speed of sound. They fall apart, soles flapping like open mouths, and it makes running around a huge pain in the butt when you forget to bring along an extra pair, as Brianna sometimes does.
Right now she's on her way to the Porter in Heropa, where she has to transfer to De Chima, and then go home (well, to Clara's). It almost makes her miss the FAYZ, where she could zip from one end of the dome to the other with no trouble (well, except for the shoes problem). In fact, those times she got to patrol for coyotes and stuff was pretty nice, now that she thinks back on it. Sure, she was starving, and dirty, and in danger, but there was something totally freeing about being on her own, with a baggie of roast pigeon in her runner's pack, sometimes not seeing another human being all day long.
Well, whatever. That was then, this is now. Sitting on the curb, she ties her shoes together by the laces and lets them hang around her neck like a giant, stinky necklace. Then, barefoot, she starts to walk down the sidewalk in the direction of the Porter, sticking her thumb out whenever a car passes by.
She's always wanted to hitchhike. It looks totally cool in the movies. ]

[ When she's not idiotically hitchhiking, Breeze can be found loitering on the streets of Heropa or De Chima, sometimes doing stupid tricks on a hover skateboard, sometimes trying to get free food from local businesses, sometimes getting into fights with non-imPort kids her age because none of them are as cool as she is, etc. Feel free to interrupt her doing any or all of these things. ]
