a whole new world | open to all!
WHO: Fluttershy & Open!
WHERE: Heropa, De Chima, & De Chima #002
WHEN: 11/2
WHAT: Fluttershy's just been ported in and is both adjusting to her new powers and this strange, horrifying new world.
WARNINGS: None as of yet. Don't you heathens ruin this pure soul.
Heropa - Human
[This. Was. Horrible.
Not only was Fluttershy suddenly in a strange place full of strange creatures and even stranger contraptions, she was stuck here in a body she had no idea what to do with. There were strange little appendages where her hooves should have been, her legs no longer worked well enough to be down on all fours, and she didn't even have the benefit of her wings to help steady her.
The entire arrival process was a blur. It had mainly been the poor not-pony petrified in fear, responding in little squeaks as she was ushered through the entire process, pushed into a cart, and left wobbling on unsteady legs in the middle of a place called Heropa with a death grip on the strange folder she'd been given.
Needless to say, Fluttershy hadn't made it more than three steps before her knees gave out, sending her toppling forward, crawling on hands and knees into a nearby park. It's there that she sits under a tree, legs folded awkwardly beneath her as she presses her new hands to her chest and tries her best not to start hyperventilating.
A bird calls out, chirping and whistling as it circles down and lands on the shaking hand Fluttershy's holding up.]
I-I'm fine, thank you. [The bird chirps some more, hopping back and forth on its perch.] Oh, no, I couldn't possibly ask you to do that. You keep your seeds for your family.
De Chima - Pony
[Somehow, after a good few hours of reading and rereading her paperwork and spending an embarrassing amount of time sitting in a park and thinking about home, Fluttershy managed to transform back. She may still be in an unfamiliar place -- even more so, since she was starting to slowly find her way to her new "home" -- but at least she's not in that strange body anymore. At least now she has hooves and wings, rather than hands and fingers.
With the soft rustle of feathers, she lands on a sidewalk near the government housing, reaching into the messenger bag she'd gotten from a kind Import fan back in Heropa and pulling out the communication device she's slowly been figuring out how to use. She rests it gently on a curled forward wing, poking at the screen gently with her hoof, navigating to the map to De Chima #002 after a few clumsy tries.
She looks from the device to the area around her, each rotation of her head causing her knees to start to buckle, her free wing to curl in to her side, her ears pulling back to her head.]
O-oh no. I'm... [She gulps, her voice coming out as a squeak as she shrinks down towards the pavement.] lost!
De Chima #002 - Pony
[Finally, finally she's found it. She's here. De Chima #002. The place she's supposed to be calling home for however long she's here.
It takes all the strength she has left to trot up the pathway to the front door, to get said door unlocked and open. Fluttershy pulls the satchel off, resting it gently on the nearest table to the door, before making a bee line for the couch. Once there, she flutters upwards with a few gentle beats of her wings, collapsing down into the cushions with a very, very grateful exhale.
It doesn't even occur to her, seeing as she's so wrapped up in finally being safe from the strangeness of this place, that she might not be alone in the house...]

De Chima: Pony
Walking into people is bound to happen, and he's even seen a horse in his yard before, but a winged horse is entirely new.
And absolutely acceptable.
This is exactly the sort of thing he'd expect to see back home.]
You're who, zura?
[He doesn't really walk up to her just yet, Komasan keeps a safe distance behind her...just in case. Which of course makes it kind of hard to hear what she's whispering.]
no subject
So when a new and unfamiliar voice pipes up from behind her, there's really only one thing for Fluttershy to do.
And that's jump at least a foot in the air, her communicator clattering to the ground as her wings both snap to her sides, all while letting out an extremely startled shriek.]
I-- I'm-- [She's stammering, trying to think over the way her heart is pounding, and forces herself to peek over her shoulder at whoever had just snuck up on... h...er....]
Oh! [And just like that, all the tension is completely gone. Her wings pop out to the sides as she perks up, trotting over to this strange little creature with a big smile.] What an adorable little kitty! Was it you who just said something?
no subject
[She sure can jump high, that's Komasan's first thought anyway. But he can only think about it for so long until he realizes she's walking right for him. Well, she seems friendly enough! And that's really all that matters--
...Oh.
She called him adorable.
But...he can't accept that compliment, it just wouldn't be right.]
A-Actually, I'm more of a dog, z-zura!
[And just to prove his point, he turns around momentarily and wags his little puff of a tail, as if that's just THE defining trait of being a dog.]
no subject
Oh, I'm so sorry. I just saw your cute little cheeks and thought you looked so much like my friend's cat, Opalescence.
[In the meantime, Fluttershy's settling down on the sidewalk, practically beaming at the little yokai in front of her.]
Although I don't think I've ever met a puppy as well spoken as you! Are you a magic dog?
no subject
[Automatically, Komasan's paws press against his cheeks the moment he starts thinking about them. Of course, it doesn't occur to him that she might be referring to their shape and not the pattern on them. Now he can't stop imagining someone's cat with swirls all over their face.
Of course, he has little time to continue thinking about it when she questions if he's magic or not. What a strange question, isn't she a youkai too...? She certainly looks like one, but maybe it's like she said, maybe she's just never met any dog youkai before...]
Oh, ah, well... I-I'm a komainu, so it's different from a regular dog, zura...
no subject
O-Oh.
Oh he's so cute Fluttershy can barely stand it.]
Yes! Your cute, cute cheeks! Oh, they're just so squishy and adorable. [Why yes, this yellow and pink pegasus is baby talking at you, Komasan.]
I don't think I've ever heard of a komainu before! Is every komainu as precious as you are? [Please just... let her... keep inching closer... so she can pet... you...]
no subject
U-Uh, well...not everyone, m-my brother looks a lot like me, zura...
[He slowly begins to take a cautionary step back.]
Is everything okay, zura...?
De Chima #2, i am technically on hiatus but idgaf, I want this cr
So when one of her bird friends came to tell her hey, there's a horse on the couch, Mint was not expecting that in the slightest. Ballet's going to be paused for a moment, they've got to be wrong. So, girl and bird go into the house to investigate.
And yeah, there's straight up a horse on the couch. A horse with...wings? The bird tweeted a little 'told you so' of approval as Mint carefully walked over towards Fluttershy. ]
Are you alright?
[ said in a gentle tone like one would talk to animals. It doesn't occur to Mint in the slightest that said horse can talk. ]
YES GOOD 8D
She's so wrapped up in things that could have been, that she doesn't have the energy to really think when she hears a door open, when a little bird tweets and another voice asks a question. There's just so many other thoughts whirling around in her head, all Fluttershy can do is raise her head up off the pillows she'd burrowed down into.]
Y-yes, I am. I'm sorry, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiii... [Aaand this would be when Fluttershy opens her eyes] I-- I-- EEP!
[She jumps up off of the couch, scrambling backwards until there's a good few feet between her and the other creature-- humans, they were called humans!]
I-- I'm sorry! [She manages to squeak out.] I didn't know this was your home. I saw the number, so I didn't think to, um... [By this point, Fluttershy's head is practically on the ground with how much she's shrinking down.] knock.
no subject
Now THAT takes Mint out of her element for a bit before she remembers wait, one of your good friends here is a youkai, talking animals apparently are a thing.
Mint can be a nice person. But generally she's a bit more tsun and a bit less dere so as Fluttershy jumps back and off the couch, Mint can't help but look at her bird friend with an expression that's pure "is she serious?" Because not only might she be living with a talking horse, she's living with a nervous wreck talking horse. ]
The government can assign you to a house with people already in it, you know. [ said in a slightly bratty tone. ] Didn't they tell you that?
no subject
Y-Yes? I mean... I mean they may have, it was all so fast and there were so many people...
[She's retreated into her bangs by now, responding in a very quiet, very high pitched whisper. At least until she forces herself to remember to breathe, to just sit herself down and... and t-talk to the non-pony in front of her.]
I... I think they may have mentioned something. It's just been such a long day, I didn't... I didn't think about it. I hope I didn't bother you.
no subject
So she gives Fluttershy a loud, overdramatic siiiiiigh as Mint sits down on the couch, ahead from Fluttershy. ]
You haven't bothered me at all. The government simply doesn't give us notice of our incoming housemates--which is quite rude of them. You just took me by surprise.
[ especially because of the horse thing BUT WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW ]
De Chima
But he does see someone in trouble, which is more pressing. ]
Oh! Are you okay? [ He hurries over. ] Are you sick? [ YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE GONNA COLLAPSE, FLUTTERSHY... ]
no subject
The poor pony practically jumps out of her own skin, squeaking and trying to turn around, to see just who (or what) it was that had come up behind her, when... she... ever so slightly steps on her own tail. And goes tumbling head over hooves into the bushes behind her.]
I-I'm fine. No... um, nopony's sick! [Says the trembling dent in the foliage.]
no subject
[ He scurries over and pushes the bushes aside, offering his hand. ] U-um, do you want me to help you out of there? I can help!
