Thanks to one Dorian Gray, Mick's actually dressed nice for this. Not super fancy, but nice. He's even made an effort not to get Matches' little white strands of dog hair all over it.

Right. This is fine, everything is fine. It's not like he hasn't spent time with Len before, this shouldn't be that much different, right? (It sure felt different.) He licks his lips, takes a breath and puts on a smile before knocking on Cold's door.

Mick snorts, but drops the first thread of conversation. He doesn't really want to tell Len how tempting that really is. He misses being a Rogue. He misses being able to set fires and have it be part of a game, instead of the sick sense of dread he gets at the idea of setting them now, knowing it'd feel like a relief to let go. And that worries him.

But this is a date, and dates are supposed to be fun, so he smiles and buys the tickets and offers one to Len.

"Two Adults. Let's hope you won't get ID'd, babyface."

"You joke, but that happened to me on the regular till my thirties." The grey hair helps, he assumes, and that at least some wrinkles are showing these days. "Nothing like pulling off a job and going out of a drink but then not getting one cause you forgot ID."

Slightly embarrassing, actually, but thankfully shooting the ceiling and jumping on the bar making demands still worked like a charm. He nods inside as Mick receives the tickets. "If we don't get red vines, I'm leaving."

There is a genuine smile - by his standards - accompanying that. Who needs maturity?

Mick chuckles at the story, he can definitely picture that happening. "We usually just skipped straight to the shooting the ceiling thing. You walk into a bar in costume and –– he shrugs. No civvies, no service, I guess."

He smiles, warm and inviting. "If they don't have red vines, I'll file a complaint."

"Yeah, you lot do the costume thing a lot more committed than I bothered with..." Maybe he'd have worked up to that, who knows. Not that important as one of the Legends, he'd been busier dressing period appropriate. Which worked well enough for him.

It's still so strange, to look at Mick's smile. Never does he look less like the other Mick than with that expression, but that doesn't stop it from affecting him. He comes close to smiling back, which is saying a lot. "Going the legal way? Naturally."

"Seems like everything's a bit toned down in your world." Which he isn't judging, from the thoughtful tone of his voice. He's so used to how ridiculous his world is, it's always odd seeing it from a different perspective. Before he came here, he wore his costume far, far more often than civvies.

"Gotta keep up with my reformation, sorry if it's boring." But he's smiling as they approach the snack stand.

"Don't know about boring. Different. You make it look good." He lets Mick take the lead, though he stays next to him. He can always pay for the next date, which shouldn't really be any problem given the plans he has in the works. "I just don't kill. For you, I was even an extra good boy and didn't kill the coward that tried to shoot you in the back."

That had been an eventful day. Almost dying from burns. He wasn't sure if he preferred it to freezing alive.
