WHO: Sorey, Nike, Mikleo. Open to other housemates in De Chima 6 who'd like to meet their new roomate!

WHAT: Mikleo and Sorey help Nike move and settle in.
WARNINGS: None.

[ While Mikleo may not have officially moved in yet, one may say that he may as well lives in Sorey's house by now. He's there practically all the time. However, Nike is another story entirely. Which is more or less why Mikleo's there with Sorey and Nike both. He's there to help her move in and settle into what would be her new home.

To anyone who would come across Sorey, Mikleo, and Nike - they might see some boxes floating and therefore get some odd looks. However, it's just the two of them carrying those boxes for her. ]

Anything else we may need to go back for after this? [ He looks to Nike as they walk, sending her a curious look. He doesn't mind either way. ]

[It wasn't too strange for Nike to watch Mikleo and Sorey help her. Then again, she didn't consider the possibility of people believing that floating boxes would be too odd, considering there are people with all kinds of super powers around. As far as she knows, she can't be the only one with the power to levitate. Maybe that's why their only getting brief glances from other people before moving on their merry way.

Nike was trying very hard not to let it get to her. The idea that her friends could be so easily overlooked. Since there are many people who can't see or hear them at all. She couldn't help wonder if there was a way to help more people increase their resonance or if there was more people out there that can but haven't crossed their paths yet.]

Oh, that should be it. I just need help in getting the last bag up.

[Reaching for the small, almost empty bag with a sheepish smile.]

I really need to go out shopping more. I think I use most of my money more on my friends than myself. [Then again, most of her stuff are gifts from her co-workers and friends alike. She barely spends any money on herself.] Thanks for helping me move and allowing me to stay with you both. I appreciate it. I didn't really wanted to live alone, you know.

One more bag? That shouldn't be too hard, I'll take that one up then we'll be done!

[He grins, not minding helping out at all. Not that there was a lot to move, really. But he still wanting to help and felt it would be a nice way to welcome her to their place, at least. So he reaches to take that last bag from her.]

It's okay. I'm just glad we could help and had a room when you said you were going to be looking for somewhere else.

Sorey is right. It's the least we can do.

[ Mikleo would never say no to helping Nike. She was his dear friend and all, and someone who had frequently been there for the both of them. He keeps walking, keeping an even pace with the both of them as he offers his friend a soft smile. ]

Besides, we never know what may happen here. It's better for you to be in company rather than live alone.

Oh, are you sure?

[She couldn't help wonder if it was really okay for Sorey to be carrying so much of her stuff. Not that she is questioning his strength or anything like that. There was little doubt he was as weak as Kitora or Livi are. He did seem shorter than Bardwin and Riku; then again, she doubts there are many people who are as tall as those two giants.]

Yeah. Tell me about it. This place was a lot more lively the last time I was here. I guess some of them found another place to live in, huh?

[There was less voices in the housing now. She could tell that much without having to use the bangle in her arm to lessen the voices of the city surrounding her. De Chima has rarely giving her the issues that Heropa and Maurital Falls usually do.]

...that's another good reason to not be left alone here. I have thought about it. Living on my own, but...I'm not really used to that. Even at the Sun Kingdom, when I was away from my family, I was always surrounded by people -- be it strangers, friends, or those who work at the palace. It was always lively. [She was so used to hearing all types of sounds that the thought of living alone did spook her a little bit.]

We're sure.

[It was a little livelier. Still, there's no helping if others want to move or are Ported out. Regardless, Sorey's just relieved to still have the friends he does have present in general. Whether he likes with them or not. Still, Sorey's willing enough to help, the sunlight catching on his ring and earrings for a moment with his movement as he goes to help.]

I'm not sure I could manage being alone either. [Even when affected by Heldalf or other hellion's domains, he knew the seraphim were with him. Even if he didn't initially understand what happened, why he couldn't see them, or hear them, why he couldn't armatize. It was scary. But he has Mikleo here. Has a lot of other friends. Neither of them are alone.]

It feels as though we'll all be at ease like this.

[ Mikleo chimes in. Sorey and Mikleo wouldn't want her to be alone when who knows what happens here, and this way, they can all stick together. Besides, Mikleo enjoys and treasures Nike's company quite a bit, and... He wants Sorey to be surrounded by more friends, too. ]

It really does.

[She couldn't help feel very relieve to have these two by her side. It was more than enough to calm her own heart. Ever since she decided to officially leave from Heropa 33, away from Riku and Kagami, she couldn't help feel a little lonely and uneasy over it. Those two are very much like family to her, even if she felt nervous around them due to what happen in the summer. Nonetheless, she was excited to see the type of adventures she'll have with her seraph friends and whoever else was living with them.]

Thank you for doing this for me though. From the bottom of my heart, I really appreciate this. You have no idea how happy it makes me to get this chance to live with more of my friends. Hopefully it'll be a lot of...huh?

[Her gaze will fall on the light gleam on Sorey's hand.]

What's that?

[ A lot of....what? Oh, but then she seems distracted, and Sorey pauses in his own assisting of things when she looks to the ring at his finger.]

Wha--hm? Oh! You mean the promise rings? Yeah, I found them at the mall and got one for both of us.

[Yeah. Just. Casually explaining like this is no real huge deal or anything. Because it isn't. Not to him anyway. Sorey knows how he feels and that's enough for him. But it was nice, to be able to try show that. As a symbol of their promise to always wait for each other.]

[ Mikleo looks to the rings, and then to Nike, looking away from the both of them. Never mind how his face flushes over slightly at the thought of those rings. Though, he was really quite fond of them. It was just... He's never gotten anything like this to share with Sorey. ]

... In case one of us leaves. [ He says quietly. ]

[The explanation sounded simple enough to her. Those rings are a symbol of some kind of promise in case one of them leaves? Somehow, she feels there is more to it by Mikleo's reaction. His cheeks were scarlet color. Nike couldn't help pout a little as she is in deep though.]

...they look like a simpler version of my engagement ring from back home.

[Which she didn't have on her when she was taken to this world. After noticing their rings, it was odd the way she is beginning to regret not having it on her now. Why? She hasn't though about that ring in months. Maybe not even once until now.]

What kind of promise did you make to get these rings? Is this like...your version of a pinky promise or something?

Right! Like, a promise to wait for each other.

[Because of events back home, and because they both know there's a chance with the Porter that one or the other of them could be sent back at any time yet. There's a pause then, Sorey still seeming oblivious to the flush of Mikleo's cheeks as he focuses more on what Nike says. Because now he is curious, and there is still a lot about human society that he isn't as sure on after growing up with the seraphim.]

An engagement ring? The lady at the shop said these were promise rings though. What's the difference?

[ Eng--Engagement ring...?! He hadn't thought of it before, but the idea of marriage isn't exactly something that seraphim actually pursue - well, it isn't as though seraphim usually are in a relationship like this...

His face flushes lightly, and he clears his throat. ]

... Sorey. Engagement rings are used when humans promise to marry one another, remember?

[To wait for each other? She couldn't help keep that little detail in mind for later. Once everyone was comfortable enough to talk in greater detail about it. Right now, they were in the middle of the move and all. It was interesting the way she feels this conversation is going.

After hearing Mikleo's explanation, Nike will add.]

That's right. Engagement rings are a sign that you're going to marry someone in the future. A promise made to the other person and for the rest of the world to know that you're in a serious, committed relationship as well.

I don't know if promise rings work the same way though. I've never heard of it before until now. [But she'll stop walking, then slightly swivel.] ...in what way did you make that promise? As a normal one or....? [No, that was not a teasing tone being used for that or.]

Ma--ah! So when we met Sergei and you guys made me talk about being married to Rose?

[He may have idly noticed some weddings or preparations at churches among their travels but it wasn't something he really had the chance to investigate that deeply given everything.

But well. Sorey is known for being a romantic sap. So Nike's talk of it is of course piquing his interest, likely much to Mikleo's chagrin.]

I dunno. It's just...a promise. [Because he doesn't want to leave Mikleo again. Not if he can help it. But if he ever does, this shows he will always intend to return and find him.]

[ A serious... committed relationship? Mikleo's cheeks flush further, and he coughs a little, keeping his gaze in front of him - rather than on Sorey or Nike. The idea of everyone knowing about their relationship was... well... a little embarrassing. ]

Sorey is right. It's a promise. Though, there's no promise that isn't a serious one, is there?

[ He says quietly, finally looking to Nike. ]

[Watching their different set of reactions was a little amusing to her. Somehow, she was starting to get a little suspicious over the way Mikleo is trying to dismiss it so badly while blushing as strongly as he was. Now, the next question was, should she ask about them?]

There isn't, but... [No, really, how to ask without flushing over it, herself. She's never good at this.] ...the way you two are making it sound though. It's different to any kind of promise. Almost like... [Okay. Playing with her fingers is a thing.] Umm...you know...like in a romantic way...or something... [Then she wonders.] ...unless this is what all best friends do...?

[As for what Sorey said earlier, her gaze will look to him curiously.]

...since it sounds like Sorey is already married to someone...? Who's Rose?

Ah, I didn't actually....marry her. We just wanted to be careful, when things were tense between Hyland and Rolance.

[And Sergei, bless him, fell for it even if Sorey was the least convincing ever when lying about his identity. Which, growing up with the seraphim, Sorey doesn't really do the 'lying' thing.]

I'm not sure if this is normal for best friends, but for us....I just thought it was a neat idea.

Back then, it was just a lie so we could get through the city!

[ This again?! It feels like this is going to be brought up for the rest of their lives at this point... ]

Sorey and I. [ He starts quietly. ] --Well, it may not be ideal or normal for best friends, but it works well for partners, doesn't it?

[The explanation concerning Sorey's love life will have her laughing, mainly out of relief, but it was out of imagining the desperation of the situation must have been.]

Did you put up a show to prove you were madly in love with your wife or something? How did it go? Somehow, it feels like this is a good story to tell.

[And at the explanation over their relationship will have her curious. It felt like they were more than friends, as Mikleo put it, but Sorey was so casual about it.]

Who propose the idea to make this promise? [Her attention will turn to Sorey.] It somehow feels like you did... [But her gaze will turn to Mikleo.] But I can somehow see you making this type of promise too. You seem to know more about it than Sorey does.

I know. I'm not the best liar, but Lailah and the others thought it'd be a good idea to try hide who I was, at least at first while we figured things out. They told me what to say. I'm....actually still surprised Sergei believed me.

[As much of a sap and romantic as Sorey is, it had come out kind of forced and rote as he repeated Lailah's words aloud. Still, he can't help looking almost sheepish.]

I was the one that found the rings.

I remember that. You even said some words wrong, but he believed you anyways. Other than that, it's not a very interesting story.

[ Just saying!! Mikleo frowns a little at that. Though, his attention goes to the rings shortly after. ]

I think it's more of a mutual sort of agreement - or experience, anyways. Sorey and I both have made promises we've meant to keep.

[Wait. Slow down you two. This definitely sounds like a good story here!]

Who's Sergei?

[Back to the rings though.]

I see. Then the rings are used to reinforce those kept promises. That's really sweet! [And enviable, all things considering. She couldn't help smile happily at the idea, even if it seem reflective. Their promise rings continue to remind her of the ring that Livius gave to her as a charm when she went into the underground trails. The very same ring that she discarded too. She didn't have it with her when she now wished she did.] Can I have a closer look at them after we're done carrying my stuff to my room? I haven't seen modern day rings yet. I want to see how much the designs have change throughout the centuries.

He's a knight, in the kingdom of Rolance.

[But Sorey doesn't seem to mind letting her have a better look once they get these last things up to her room. So there's a nod on his end, as he shifts to accommodate the last box he has in his arms, hefting it upstairs before sitting on the bed for a moment to catch his breath.

When he remembers in a minute or two, he'll hold his hand out to her so she can look.]

[ And Mikleo does the same, slipping his own ring off for a moment and holding it out for Nike to take. He doesn't mind at all - not if it's something that would potentially not only help her knowledge of her world and this world, but make her happy, as well. ]

I'm sure that the rings will look vastly different in general, all things considering.
