Just look at the world around you [Semi-Open]
WHO: Anyone who signed up for the Attack of the Chaos Coven plot. Note: If you didn't sign up for the plot on the OOC comm but showed interest in an earlier plotting thread, you're welcome, too! Just leave a comment here if you're still interested.
WHERE: the Nonah Aquarium
WHEN: The afternoon and early evening of Saturday the 17th
WHAT: A fun day at the aquarium turns dangerous as a group of wannabe villains tries to take over
WARNINGS: Youth violence, and a description of a man being set briefly on fire. Edits will be made if necessary.
Welcome boys and girls to the Nonah Aquarium! It's a large, semi-circular building full of all the aquatic creatures that you could ever ask for. The tanks contain marine life of all kinds, proudly displaying the flora and fauna of the ocean and recreating a variety of different environments. There's shallow waters and mock coral reefs, there's large tanks where nurse sharks and rays swim freely and dark rooms full of jellyfish and other mysterious creatures. There's even areas where you can see penquins, and seals, too! Whatever you can imagine, it's there... save, for porpoises and dolphins. Sorry, Mint!
And if you need a break, there's plenty of opportunities to rest your feet. You can watch a movie to learn more about the aquatic critters you just saw. Or you can go to one of the cafes for a bite to eat... if your wallet can handle it. There's a gift shop, too, if you still have cash to burn at the end of your trip.
But before you can get to anything, you must first defeat... the lines. Hey, it's the weekend, what did you expect? Good luck! And remember, the building closes at five.
[OOC: More info on the aquarium can be found here and here, but players are welcome to take liberties and add attractions as they please. Feel free to post starters for your characters having fun at the aquarium; I'll be posting a thread for the fight against the coven in a moment.]

Attack of Chaos!
"Everybody, freeze! ... if you value your lives."
This melodramatic announcement is followed by an equally melodramatic entrance of four teenagers. Their leader is an older girl with severe features, and her violet cloak billows behind her as she strides in, her head held high. She's followed by a much smaller girl with thick glasses and long hair, who holds her green cloak tight as she sneers at everyone around them. Whatever she lacks in size she tries to make up for in attitude. And last but not least, two other teenagers are at their side, a boy and girl with bleached hair, dark sunglasses, and a pistol that they're aiming towards the crowd. Either they lost the memo regarding themed uniforms or just don't care. Neither does the crowd, however, and most of them have frozen in place, waiting for the group's next move.
[OOC: Alright! Susie and J.J. are brandishing around airsoft pistols modified to look like real guns. They might seem realistic from a distance, but if characters get face to face with them they'll be able to tell that they're fakes. Maria/Hasslehoff is outside and will have a thread with Persephone, but may come swooping in for backup depending on how the post goes. Also: I work tonight and don't have another day off until Wednesday, so for the sake of speed, players are welcome to NPC the Chaos Coven themselves during their own threads. If people would rather have me NPC them, that's fine too, but just keep in mind that threads done this way will move slower.]
Mint Aizawa | ota!
Mew Mew Mint Metamorphose!
[ one transformation sequence later, Mint zips out of the bathroom...and almost gets flash-fried by one of the group. Quickly, she flies right up in the air because uh, no. This does present a problem, though. ]
My powers aren't meant for fighting people! [ she worries, to whoever's in earshot. ] How is this going to work?
no subject
She almost bumps to another girl in her distraction. Huh, she wasn't expecting someone to be in the air with her]
What? Do they not work on humans or something? If they can, just hit them hard. Or distract them so other people can hit them hard.

Mint's not the only one transforming. Gran's quick to take to his aliea outfit as well. While she had slipped out to do her transformation, Gran was more immediate and he was able to take to the skies on his star line path, using it as a bridge across the air to try and intercept.
Unfortunately, the girl is quite new to flight.
Which makes catching her a lot like trying to kill a mosquito in thin air.]
Then we use them to stop people!
[It's automatic how he answers her, as if he didn't even realize he'd done it. Green eyes turn towards her, seeing her fly up into the air.]
Y...You're gifted with flight? [Not exactly the time to admire, but it does pop a few ideas into his brain.]

RITA MORDIO | OTA
She races towards it, her attention taken up by the security guard still covered in flames. Someone had been going for a fire extinguisher but at this rate. Scowling, Rita whips her sash around her, reading a water arte]
O' caprice of innocent waters, champagne!
[A deluge of water falls over the security guard, extinguishing the fire -- but he wasn't out of danger yet. She reaches down to grab him and haul him out of the way. Where on earth was Estelle? She looks around and scowls at the first person she sees that looks like an imPort, while the ushers run towards them, looking surprised to see no fire extinguishers about]
Hey, help me get this guy out of the way.
[She seems entirely unconcerned with the teenagers aiming weapons at them]
no subject
I've got him.
[She lays him down gently on the ground, and though she's trembling, scared speechless and horrified at the damage to his body, she forces herself to focus on her outstretched hands.]

Still, these are teenagers, and they look more like they're acting fierce than used to being fierce. She hurries towards the security guard to heal his burns and stops short when the two with the guns appear in her path just about instantly. She smiles--the word disarmingly is rather too optimistic.]
Excuse me, do you really want to--[She steps back as the small girl with the cloak blocks her path, ready to breathe fire.] Do you know, medically, what burns do to a person?

I don't think she wants to listen...

Ed Elric | OTA
His reaction is immediate—clapping his hands together and holding one of them out above the ground. There's a crackle of electric blue energy, and an ornate staff that looks almost too large for him to use rises from the ground into his outstretched hand.]
I don't know who the fuck you idiots think you are, but you couldn't have picked a worse day for this.

[Fuu holds in a sigh at--well, everything about the situation, but for now it appears to be the cheesy line. Their leader really leaves a lot to be desired.
She glances over at the weapon that Edward generates (it's nice to see he has his arm back). What an interesting ability. Nice that it's blunt, too. She makes no comment on the size considering her own weapon, which she can't really use here. She drifts a little closer.]
Is that made from the ground?

Disgruntled with Chaos [Closed to Persephone]
Maria Hoffman hovers in the air, keeping to the side of the building, keeping a dedicated watch over...
Oh screw this. It's been hours and she needs a smoke. Queen Thorne will be fine for five minutes. So she swoops down, landing on the ground near her abandoned cloak. She takes a moment to adjust her glasses and tighten up her ponytail before she rummages through her pile of crap for a pack of cigarettes, muttering under her breath all the while.
Re: Disgruntled with Chaos [Closed to Persephone]
But this might be something else cool, so she saunters over in her slightly inconspicuous designer hoody and aviators. ]

Utena Tenjou | ota
[Utena bounces from foot to foot before stretching on the tip of her toes, trying to see over the crowd. These lines are crazy... maybe she should've had everyone meet up sooner? Oh well, it's too late to change anything now. She sighs, but soon her eyes light up, and she swears she sees one of the people she invited. Utena beams and waves her arm at them, stretching as high as she can]
Hey! Over here!
Jellyfish Touch Tank
Moon jelly...
[She murmurs to herself as she looks down at the jellyfish swimming in the tank of water. There's other tanks where people can touch starfish or pet rays, but this dark room is the one that caught her eye. Curious, she deeps her fingers in, and-]
Oh!
[One of them brushes thoughtlessly brushes against her fingertips, and she pushes her hand in further, pressing lightly against its... dome? Head? What's the right word for the squishy part of the jellyfish?]
Huh... this is kind of weird, isn't it? Not bad, but...
Penguins
[Utena has high hopes for the exhibit. Who doesn't love penguins? And Kidou seemed pretty excited for it, too. But then again, Mint wasn't exactly a fan of them... She breathes in deep, expecting a terrible, horrific stench...
And smells nothing. Well, nothing from the penguins, anyway. She walks up closer, and... oh! They're starting the feeding! Utena grabs her disposable camera, aiming it at the little baby penguins that are waddling up to their moms. This should make a great picture...
...if you like images of regurgitation, that is. She forgot to take one important factor into consideration: how birds actually eat. Utena's face falls, and there's a small, defeated click from her camera.]
Gift Shop
[And now the real animals have been replaced by stuffed ones. There's seals! There's sharks! There's even a giant, squishy octopus! Utena holds it up, swinging its tentacles as she turns around]
Hey, what do you think of-
[And then she notices it: the price tag. Her face falls instantly, and she places it back down]
...nevermind.
jellyfish
How can you touch it so easily! Isn't is slimey?

[And she emphasizes her point by poking it again.]

Naminé | OTA
[This...is something very new. Standing and waiting to get in isn't exactly how she'd imagined the start of this outing would go. But it's nice in it's own way, how the anticipation adds to the excitement.
She's also learned how to use the music player on her communicator. So listening to some songs, bobbing her head side-to-side, is also helping her manage the wait time.]
✖ Fish Tanks
[Most people take brief glances of the fish tanks before heading onto the next one, but Naminé has brought her sketchbook with her today...which means she's taking about five to ten minutes at the tanks that especially interest her to sketch the fish she sees. The one she's just stopped at has a huge lionfish in it. She gets pretty absorbed in her art, so she might not notice that the group is moving forward, or even if they left her behind.]
✖ Cafe
[Themed food is so cute. Here, she'll be staring at the menu board, conflicted over what she wants to get. The penguin parfait looks delicious, but the seal snack set includes a mini seal post card. There's also the jellyfish peanut butter and jelly donuts, too...the list goes on. Decisions, decisions.]
Maybe if I get the seal snack set, you can get the jellyfish peanut butter and jelly donuts, and we can share?
✖ Gift Shop
[Ever since she started working at Construct-a-Cuddly, Naminé has discovered an immense fondness for stuffed animals. She's in front of the display now, trying to decide if she should take a penguin or nurse shark plush home.]
If I get the keychain versions, I could buy both...
Gift Shop
[A soft, mellow voice sounds from behind her, walking up to take a look at what she's got her eye on.
He remembers her from the swear-in. A quiet girl, which made her all the more easy to understand. It helped kind of getting away from some of the louder voices of the group...a person he could just sit and soak in the silence with.]
Seems like we both had the same idea.

Estellise | OTA
[She's standing by the main tank, apparently studying it very closely, but her gaze keeps darting between the screen she's standing next to and the tank with all the fish swimming in it, as if trying to locate something specific.]
Maybe that one...? Or... No... Maybe I'll try again. [Someone with better eyes should probably come help her out as she's trying to identify fish from their silhouettes using the educational game.]
Touch Tanks
[It was a little weird to be back in mostly full light again after the twilight of the darker corridors with the tanks, but also a bit of a relief. She examines the first open tank, lined with sand and rocks and small plants, and all the signs warning people to be gentle with the small sharks and rays swimming lazily through the shallow water. There's another on the other side of the room, more like a shallow glass table, with all kinds of colorful starfish and shells.
She reaches in tentatively, stroking the top of a passing bonnethead shark with two fingers as directed and laughing a little with surprise.]
It's so rough!
Gift Shop
[There were way too many things to see here. She's going to be wandering through here for a while. The stuffed animals draw her eye and she'll definitely move on to them later, but for now she keeps looking at the beginner science kits, studying them intently before shaking her head.]
These are probably too simplistic for her...
