WHO: Ame and YOU
WHERE: Anywhere and everywhere
WHEN: During September
WHAT: Open log for the month
WARNINGS: None
1. In front of Heropa #34; all through September
[ Ame was given a place to stay in Heropa, but honestly? he doesn't like it. It's true that when he was just a baby he used to live in Tokyo with his mother and sister, but they moved to the rural Japan, to a big house, with many windows, right next to the forest and that's what he remembers. While Ame is a wolf and NOT a human, if it had been a house like he lived in back in his world, perhaps he'd have accepted it better. An apartment in a residential area? He does not. But he was told to live there and he is trying to obey that; he is a good boy, though ultimately, not really a boy.
He spends most of his time outside the apartment, actually. The houses have a front-yard, which he appreciates, and where he can be found most of the time, sitting on the grass while he looks up at the sky with some longing in his eyes. Sometimes, small animals approach such as rodents or birds, and he allows the proximity enough that some even climb up his shoulder.
he wants to leave. He doesn't want to be there. ]
2. Outside Heropa school ; third week of the month
[ He isn't a fan of school; there are a lot of things Ame isn't a fan of, but he never really cared about school. It didn’t teach him about the forest that he longs for and that he constantly read about in books at the school’s library, it didn't show him the things in life he wants to see and learn, and it only taught him all things he doesn't understand and honestly doesn't need to because he is a wolf.
School in this world is no different. They teach him math, and language, and strange science he doesn't care for. Every lesson is boring, and he can't connect to other people. And children don't like someone who is different. And Ame sure is because he acts so strangely in everyone's eyes. "He is an imPorts, it's normal", the teachers whisper, but the children don't whisper such things, they say them outloud.
And when Ame doesn't say anything back, simply turns his back to them and walks away, then they can get nastier. Which leads, to once again, Ame being bullied by older kids at the school just like it happened back home. Because Ame doesn't "feel" like other kids, they don't treat him right - and because he is a wolf and stronger than them, and honestly doesn't care enough to try to fit in, he doesn't fight back. So by the end of the month, the kids decided they should push Ame down a couple of times, call him a weirdo, and run away scared when they realize Ame was bleeding from his elbow.
It's just a scratch, but as he leaves school his elbow is still bleeding a bit, his white shirt is all dirty, and his hair is messy. He is still carrying his bag with one single book that he brought from the library and walks away from the school building, set on not paying attention to anyone else. ]
3. Green, forests and parks ; all through September
[ The forest (or green areas) Ame was able to find are the best thing for him. Who has seen him back home or at school will actually see a big difference in his reactions and responses. Ame walks around, watching every single tree, every single leaf, every single animal. This time around, he doesn't have animals following him nearby, though he certainly doesn't seem to mind the missing companions.
At times, he stops near a tree, touches it slowly and stays very still; while it may look weird, he is just taking in the scent, recognizing animal territories and understanding how the balance between them works.
THIS is what makes Ame happy. And it's what he wants to do until the end of his days: protect the animals and protect the forest. ]
4. Wolf ; all through September
[ The forest is Ame's natural habitat. He is a wolf, after all. And when he isn't at school, moping around the city, or checking out the park, Ame is in the forest in his wolf - and true form, that's what he'd tell anyone who asked, even though he is technically wolf AND human - running around, getting to know the place, the animals, the territories and the trails.
He is actually an adult wolf, regardless of his human age. he is large, strong, too big to be a young wolf, and is currently with his summer coat which means he isn't as fluffy as he can get. Ame is strong, and if anyone who happens to be nearby is quiet enough, they will have the chance to see him hunt.
Once he grabs his prey - a rabbit - Ame eats it up with a satisfied sound and after lays down on the ground to roll about for a moment. But at the smallest sound, he will suddenly get up, yellow eyes turned to the area where he heard the noise coming from. Ame is friendly and wouldn't attack anyone, but he is pretty careful when he is a wolf, too. ]
5. Werewolfing ; last week of the month ; OPEN TO THE FIRST 2 TAKERS
[ Ame is a werewolf. He calls himself a "wolf", but that's mostly the path he chose, not his true biology. As a werewolf, Ame is capable of shifting from a 10 year old human boy into an adult animal wolf, and take every form in between, and that means he easily can pop up a wolf tail and ears.
However, he is meant to keep what he is hidden, he knows that much. His mother taught him that, and even here he is set on keeping that hidden, at least while he can. But whenever there are no people around, Ame will turn into his wolf self, the form he is more comfortable with.
The forest is the best place for this. people aren't around and he has plenty of space to run around after, and that's why he only turns when he is there. Of course that means taking off his clothes, though, so they won't get ripped or dirty while he walks through the woods, and so he can also have clothes once he turns back into human and returns to the city.
Once the arrives at a seemingly deserted area of the woods, Ame looks around and finally sniffs the air. There are some animals around, but they already know that Ame is probably a bit hungry and won't approach; he doesn't mind, that's how things are. And finally, two wolf ears pop up at the top of his head and a fluffy tail appears, wagging about; he grabs his shirt to take it off but that's when he hears a noise. His ears perk up and he looks to the side, sniffing the air for a second there.
Who...? ]

5! werewolf
Unfortunately, Mint's not very good at any sort of flying that's not "dodging" or "going up." So this attempt at flying goes horribly awry as a stray breeze pushes her away from her path, into a tree, and then smack dab on the ground in front of Ame. ]
Ouch!
[ Person with animal ears and a tail, meet person with animal wings and a tail. ]

What in the name of-
And that's a girl.
And of course the first thing is does is to hide back any of his wolfish features and let's hope nobody noticed them. at least he didn't take off his shirt, how would he explain that, exactly? He wouldn't. He really wouldn't. ]
... are you alright?
no subject
She turns to look towards Ame, watching as he attempted to hide his wolfy feature. ]
You don't have to hide those, you know. One of my best friends back home has ears like yours.
[ Granted, Mint's animal features are less "natural werewolf" and more "dubious attempts at science for a shoujo manga" but still counts! ]
no subject
[ yeah. He just said that. because it's a lot easier to deny it to a stranger than to try to explain any of it - besides, others aren't meant to know, his mother taught Ame that much. ]
Were you flying? [ this is sort of important for the conversation, in all honesty. because girls don't fly. People don't fly. ]
no subject
I'm a Mew Mew. Which, I'm certain you won't understand that term, but it means I've got powers that most normal people don't have.
no subject
Like a super-heroin? [ because that's what people with powers are, right? ]
no subject
no subject
Were you born with those powers? [ or maybe she has a Porter back home too, hey anything's possible ]
no subject
I wasn't born with them, though. I only recently gained my wings and tail.

2! Heropa, outside of school
She hears a bell, and children laughing and running as they leave a building; that must be a school. She couldn't remember how many there were, but perhaps at least one for each age group in each city? She didn't think her own younger friends commuted - a new vocabulary word - all the way here for school every day, right? She stands off to the side, waiting for the chaos to die down before she starts moving again in case she accidentally runs into someone. So she is weirdly in the perfect position to notice a lone figure walking away from everyone else and closer towards her, their paths bound to intersect.
Whoever it was looked so familiar, but she's distracted from this thought by other discrepancies - the torn and dirty shirt, messy hair and--]
Are you all right? [Oops, there go all the boxes, hope nothing was breakable in there. She rushes forward to the child.]
Can I help you? [She kneels to get closer to his level, reaching one hand out for his injured elbow.] Would that be okay? [She's trying to get better at asking first in case she does something wrong (again), but it's so hard to just stand by when people are obviously hurt in front of her, no matter how minor the injury seemed.]
no subject
And she is suddenly all over him; it's not that Ame doesn't trust people, but he surely isn't used to having them fret over him (besides his mother), so he gives one small step back. Help him with what? ]
I'm alright, though. [ because he is. The scratch over his elbow is nothing, and he gets a bit hurt here and there at the forest, all the time. He looks to the side, at the boxes again ] You dropped your boxes.
no subject
Ame. I can heal your cut and help you get cleaned up, if you want? [She...really isn't going to give up on this.] I'm sure it isn't serious, but I'd still like to help you if I can.
no subject
I don't have bandaids, though. [ so he isn't sure what Estelle wants to do about it ]
no subject
I'm sure you're fine, but it would make me feel a little better... [And then she's probably dragging you shopping for a new shirt and a snack, sorry Ame...]
no subject
Alright.
[ he supposes she can try something if she's that worried, sure ]

It's not exactly that far from the city limits, stuck between suburbs instead of farmland, and seeing little to no large predators. Even he himself doesn't range out here often (because who likes suburbia?).
And here he is, mystery solved. Well, sort of. He's still surprised a wolf is out here at all. ]
no subject
But the normal response is to stand up and back off. Though Ame didn't recognize the smell of another wolf, he is certainly very new here and thus this is not his territory, but the other wolf's. And he is hunting in it and rolling around, which is not cool.
He lowers his head to show submission, if only to avoid an attack. He is a werewolf, thus stronger and he is certain that he could win against a normal wolf - but that's an option he doesn't want to consider right now ]
no subject
Nicolas makes no move to attack, though he does approach to sniff at the other's face, then leave off to inspect what's left of the rabbit and the rest of the clearing. He's accepted the act and doesn't mean to find offense at Ame being here.
If anything, he thinks the scent is vaguely familiar. Is it? Or has he just been apart from other wolves so long, he's not sure? ]
no subject
even if he doesn't know how wolves should act towards each other - but he will go with his instincts.
And when the other approaches the rabbit, he goes after him to paw at the ground. Have some, friend. And if that's not enough, he will lay on the floor and let out a small bark; now that he is close, the glowing tattoo can actually be seen (faintly) through the fur, if Nicolas bothers to pay attention to Ame's front leg. ]
no subject
He's not particularly interested in the rabbit, aside from poking around for the sake of curiosity. What actually gets his attention is the faint glow, which does catch his eye.
He'll raise his head, tilting it one way, then another, squinting.
That's... aha. So that's another imPort. He has a faint glow around one front wrist in the same way. He'll leave off sniffing around the clearing to approach Ame again, this time leaning in to put a nose to the glowing wrist, then look at Ame again, questioning. ]
no subject
However, would a normal wolf even notice a glowing thing like that? no, they wouldn't. Ame turns to Nicolas, glancing at his paw, and as he notices the faint glow, his ears perk up ]
Are you an ImPort?
no subject
no subject
He gets up and shakes himself after, and for a moment there he wags his tail, before he returns to the rabbit and grabs it. Since Nicolas won't be eating it, that will be Ame's dinner later on. ]
