September Catch-All and OPEN to anything!
WHO: Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold
WHERE: art gallery, bars, Heropa 20 (roguehaus), the ice-rink, anywhere else he could conceivably be
WHEN: throughout September
WHAT: more coolness
WARNINGS: drinking, stealing, we'll see what comes up
[OPEN] The Art of...
Heropa has a couple of museums and a number of art galleries and Leonard is a frequent guest at most of them. Sometimes he even drops by on one of the other cities. He studies the pictures, reads the brochures and sometimes he just walks around for a while or sits on a bench, occasionally scribbling down a note or two.
In spite of regular visits, he doesn't draw much attention, most people seem to barely notice him at all. He has a habit of fading into the background. But he can be found there and is easily approachable. To anyone who sits or stands next to him, he might even offer gum.
No guarantee on the location of one's wallet after any given interaction.
[OPEN] Bar None
Just about any bar in Heropa could have him in it. Usually he sits somewhere in the back or a corner, often with a foot propped up on a chair and just about always with a drink in front of him that has a bit too much ice in it and that he empties quickly.
Maybe he's waiting for someone, maybe he's planning on drinking alone. Either way, he's not entirely opposed to company.
[SEMI-OPEN to everyone interested in acquiring parts of his loot] Cash Flow
"I'll show you mine and you show me yours?" He's a professional. He's not opposed to a line or two however. Actually, it might just be something he also deals with.
But even so, his face is pretty unreadable as he looks around, his fingers absently feeling the fabric of his jacket.
[ooc: If your character is a potential interested buyer and Leonard might have a way to find out about that, please hit me up via pm, at
reineke or in this post!]

De Chima
He was interested in the natural history of his world. Why wouldn't he be investigating that here, now? He wrinkles his nose at the offer of gum - when had that man come over? - and shakes his head.]
no subject
[Tucking the pack of gums back away - after taking one for himself - Leonard returns to looking at the exhibit in front of them. He's seen bigger things alive and well, but this is impressive anyway and takes him back to his childhood, when dinosaurs had been just the most amazing thing ever.]
Hard to imagine creatures like that just dying out.
no subject
[He furrows his brows, and then rests his hand on his hip, showing his contempt for such lunacy.]
no subject
[There's no contempt here, just vague amusement and a shake of his head.]
Could have been time travel. Going back to kill off dinosaurs.

Bar !
He has a lighter Len gave him in his hand, flicking the lid absentmindedly. He doesn't notice Len at first, ordering a lemonade and tequila. It's only after he turns around to find a place to sit that he spots him.
He comes over, smiling a bit awkwardly. ]
Feel up to company?
no subject
So he just nods, his face not showing any change in emotional state.]
Sure. Grab a seat.
[He pushes one out with his foot and waits for Mick to sit.]
Coming from a barbecue?
no subject
That obvious?
[ He hesitates, but he knows that Len knows about his problem. Nothing to gain by hiding it. ]
There was an office fire couple blocks down. Ain't one of mine, for the record.
[ But if there's a note of guilt in his voice it's because he wasn't there to put it out. ]
no subject
[How does he know? Really, it's a vibe, it's a look, it's also the fact that this Mick, in his experience, can't lie. He doubts he'd be able to hide something like this from him.
Len takes a sip from his drink, the ice cubes clinking as they hit the rim of the glass.]

holla holla get dolla
He waggles his fingers, practically gloating about that whole 'married' thing.

That, of course, is regarding the money. Leonard takes a few polaroid pictures out of his inner coat pocket and pushes them over to Dorian. "See anything you like?"
They show some of what he's willing to sell, good enough picture quality for having been taken in a warehouse.
no subject
"That one," Dorian says, pointing towards something that dates around the 1800s. It's slightly pastoral, with grass and sheep, and really something that you wouldn't expect Dorian's taste profile to be. "When can I expect the delivery?"

cash flowww
"It's so nice to make a deal with someone who understands my line of work and doesn't question it in the slightest."
no subject
He trails off, but the meaning behind the words is pretty obvious, so he doesn't think he needs to finish the sentence with anything incriminating.
you can decide what it is, I don't mind :>
"I'll take this one." Bela taps the third photo to indicate which one she wanted. "I think it will do for the time being, thanks." Her hand slips into her coat pocket and she withdraws an envelope filled with cash, holding it up for Len to see.
no subject
He gathers all the photos up with a swipe of his hand, palming them fast enough they might as well have vanished into thin air. "Cash upon delivery or do you trust me enough to pay up front?"

BAR
Cold is early for their rendezvous — and what on earth either of them had meant by getting to know each other is anyone's guess. Even James isn't totally sure. But he is nothing if not curious, and so he dons his finest brightly colored Hawaiian shirt (yellow, blue, covered in flowers) and gets his hair nice and fluffy and meets Leonard Snart in the back of a shady bar. It's almost like old times.
Almost. ]
C.C.! [ He slides into the seat across from Cold with giraffelike grace, setting his strawberry margarita on the table. ] So punctual. You were looking forward to this, weren't you? Admit it, you like me.
no subject
[Leonard hasn't dressed for the setting, unsurprisingly. He doesn't own anything that would fit this setting and he's not intending to ever do. Instead he's wearing a black leather jacket over a dark shirt, black jeans, black boots and apparently an iron will to pull that outfit off in Florida without getting a heatstroke.
He doesn't even look flushed.]
no subject
[ A grin, and he raises his eyebrows just so. ]
Jesus, you aren't even breaking a sweat.
[ Neither did the other Leonard Snart, even when he used to insist on wearing a parka indoors. The similarities are as interesting as the differences. ]

sorry for the delay!
Even in heels, her footsteps are unnaturally silent against the marble floors of the museum thanks to her powers. She wanders into a gallery--18th century Western European art, to be specific--and finds Snart sitting there. They've only shared one conversation over the Network, but still, she approaches, seating herself next to him on a bench facing a painting on the wall. ]
Snart, wasn't it? Fancy meeting you here.
no worries and I'm sorry too!
[He does recall her, even if it has been a while and only over the network. Between the puns and the fact that it had been his first day, it had been memorable. Not to mention that he has a very good memory in general.]
Great outfit for a museum.
[He leans back on his hands, looking up at her. With the hood pulled like that, yes, it's coming across as either pretentious artist or just plain suspicious, but honestly? Either would work for a museum, so he isn't actually being sarcastic here.]
no subject
That's me, always at the forefront of the edgiest of fashion trends.
I didn't know you were a museum kind of guy.
sorry I was so abysmally slow, life hit hard, I am back on track now!
Bar
Still, it did raise questions, like why did Tequila Rose taste like medicine? What was a Fuzzy Navel and why would you name a drink after something so clearly unappetizing?
The most important question was this? Why the altruism, Loki? Is he paying it forward? Is he being whimsical? Is he just legitimately interested in this commission?
Who knows, but he's here
no subject
"Fancy running into you." He inspects the lines of food and ale lined up in front of Loki, arching an eyebrow. "Any of that for me?"
no subject
He gave Leonard an appraising look over the rim of his glass before offering what he hoped was an indulgent smile, "you can have all of the slippery nipples and anything else you like if you can explain why anyone would christen a beverage slippery nipple?"
After thinking about it for a second he amends the statement, he has no interest in drinking all of these mixed drinks on his own, "well, you can have what you want regardless, but inquiring minds, you see."
sorry, I won't be this slow again, life was piling up on me
I understand, I've been about the same this week XD
