WHO: Mint and Komasan
WHERE: De Chima 002
WHEN: Right now
WHAT: It's a sleepover!
WARNINGS: Nope
[This is it, this is what neighbors were invented for. Really awesome sleepovers. Komasan knew he'd like Mint from the start, but the fact that she agreed to sleepovers just totally made his day, and now it's totally making his night. Everything's always better with friends, and it'd be nice to sleep somewhere a little less hectic than what he's used to.
With a shopping bag in one paw filled to burst with various containers of ice cream, and a tiny blanket cradled under the other, it's almost a miracle Komasan's able to knock on the door at all. But he manages, and he proceeds to stand there patiently.]
Maybe I should've brought tea, zura...
[Hm, actually, now that he thinks about it, he probably could've brought a lot of things. Oh well, it's not like he lives next door or anythingβ Oh wait. Gosh, could sleepovers get any better?]

She hasn't changed into her pajamas yet, but when she hears the door, she practically skips over towards the door. It's a sleepover, after all. And, she's loathe to admit this, but she really missed having friends. Opening the door, Mint grins. ]
Come in! I've set the kettle on so we can have some tea.
[ she's also got movies, and popcorn, and a deck of cards because hey, even if they don't have board games, they could...play Go Fish or something? Mint's not entirely sure. ]
no subject
H-How did you read my mind, zura?!
[Does it really count as mind reading when you say it out loud? Komasan seems to believe so, even if it is just a coincidence. Mind reading must be one of her powers, that's the only logical conclusion he can come up with. O-Oh dear...he really hopes he doesn't think of anything too embarrassing while he's here...]
Monge...
[Like any polite guest, Komasan wipes his tiny feet before coming inside, admiring Mint's new home even if the houses look exactly alike. There's a lot of...science going on in his house, so it's nice to see what one looks like when it's a little more normal. It's enough to take his mind of his sudden mind reading paranoia, that's for sure, and he's quickly back to all smiles.]
Your house is so clean, zura!
no subject
[ And Mint, if anything, is entirely a lady. She can't help but smile as she gestures for Komasan to follow her to the kitchen. Everything is a bit more clean and drastically less science. ]
Well, there's only two of us living here, and neither of us are as...ah, unique as some of your housemates.
[ Doc's weird. He's a fun old man, but also insanely weird. Mint still talks as she heads to the cabinet to get down teacups and the tea leaves, watching the water out of the corner of her eye. ]
I'm home alone a lot, as my housemate's often out at her job or at her significant other's. [ Mint's...not entirely sure how she feels about that, shown in her hesitant tone. ]
no subject
Eagerly, he crawls onto one of the seats and waits for his tea.]
...Only two, zura?
[So if that's counting Mint, then...she only has one roommate? Well there's something Komasan didn't even think was possible, but then again he's used to bumming around Nonah 005, a house just bursting with people. The idea of such an empty house...it sounds a little sad.]
Don't you get lonely, zura?
no subject
That's also given her enough time to think about how to answer Komasan's question. Because she does get a bit lonely. ]
At times, [ she simply answers. ] I miss my friends from home terribly and I'm still working on making new friends here. It's...tough at certain times, but I'm certain I can push through.
[ pushing through loneliness with determination and ego. ]
no subject
[He can only look down at his paws as he waits, hands folded on top of each other on the table. She's absolutely right, it is tough at times, and he can totally understand how she feels. If anything, he's impressed with how well she's been handling herself, he was a complete mess his first day here.
Still, even if she's confident everything will be okay, it doesn't mean he doesn't have to be there for his friends.]
Hm...w-well...when you do get lonely... you can always call me, zura! I-I can come over and play whenever you want, o-or you can even come to my house, zura.
[At the very least, he knows his room is always tidy enough for guests. How can it not be when your pet is a roomba?]
no subject
Still, she doesn't want to seem like this loneliness thing's bothering her too much. As she pours the tea into the teacups, Mint continues talking, with the utmost sincerity. ]
Only if you come over and play whenever your house gets too noisy! I can help serve as a calming oasis compared to the din of those housemates of yours. We'll have a calming cup of tea and bask in the tranquility that few housemates have to offer.
[ Mint met Doc Brown. He was exploding something when she met him. It was not a good first impression. Then, a bit more gently, Mint adds, ]
I hope that you won't mind if I call you a friend?
no subject
It'd be just like home again, back when he could just sit in his house and drink tea with his brother and casually enjoy a nice day. It's the simple things that Komasan likes the most, and he's almost shocked to see that he hasn't found that safe place until now.]
Monge~ That's exactly what I need, zura~
[He rocks back and forth dreamily as he waits for Mint to finish pouring, only to find himself caught off guard by what she says next.]
Oh! Um... [Oh dear, how does he say this?] We're, ah... we're already friends, zura.
no subject
[ Bringing the teacups to the table, she sits one down in front of Komasan, still smiling a big smile. She didn't know why she was worried in the first place! If Komasan thought they were already friends, then that's such a good sign. Of course there wasn't anything to worry about. ]
Here you go!
no subject
Grateful, Komasan takes his tea cup and gives it a little sip before going straight into the questions.]
So did you make your monge~ canopy bed yet, zura?
[He's not, like, really excited about that or a-anything...]
no subject
As Komasan mentions the canopy bed though, Mint can't help but grin. ]
It was assembled yesterday! Shall we go straight to it after we finish our tea?
[ Which, at least for Mint, is going to take a while. Tea must be savored! ]
no subject
He's a little surprised to hear she wants to go to bed so soon, though.]
Eh... Are you really that tired, zura?
[For...whatever reason, the idea of just hanging out in her room doesn't even occur to him. Clearly she wants to sleep.]
no subject
[ Komasan was interested in the canopy bed, Mint wanted to show him the canopy bed! It seemed a bit obvious to her, at least. ]
no subject
Now that he thinks about it, maybe he should've grabbed them.]
Do you have the princess game, zura?!
no subject
Uh, what?
no subject
[At this point, Komasan seems a little too eager to leave his chair, a paw hovers just above the kitchen floor.]
I could go get it, we can play in your room, zura.
no subject
It sounds like fun!
no subject
Okay I'll go get it you wait here don't move I'll be right back, zura!!
[The journey next door is long and painful, it maybe took like a few minutes, but Komasan manages to return with a worn down box that he carries like a precious treasure. He can't stop staring down at it, this is just too exciting! Finally it can stop collecting dust in the corner of his room, it gets to fulfill its purpose!]
This is it, zura!
no subject
Pretty Pretty Princess? [ what kind of a name is that? That's some shoujo manga nonsense right there. Still, she said she'd play the game so dangit, she'll play (even if it DOES look a bit childish). ]
"The jewelry dress-up game"...does it come with the jewelry? I don't have much we can use if it doesn't.
no subject
[And with that said, Komasan takes off, completely forgetting about quiet tea time. In fact, he takes off without really having an idea where he's supposed to go in the first place. It's not like he's been here before, how's he supposed to figure out which room is hers?
...Or...well, a canopy bed would probably be a good indication, huh? That's probably why instead of coming back and asking for directions, Mint will only hear the excitable cries of a very curious dog.
In a completely new and unexplored room.
Without any supervision.]
MONGE!!
no subject
She quickly puts her cup in the sink then heads over back to her room, giving Komasan a grin and pretending like she's not worried in the slightest, not at all, no way jose! The canopy bed is a tall four-poster, with gauzy baby blue fabric draping from the posts and framing the bed. The bed itself is fully made up, with baby blue pillows and sheets matching the gauzy fabric. ]
Do you like it?
no subject
He probably does, judging by the way he's already curled up on it.
...on the top of the canopy.
How...how did he climb up there? How is he not falling through? It's certainly a mystery, but Komasan seems to have made himself quite at home despite how much sense he isn't making. The game he carried in lies on the actual bed itself, yet to be unopened, so at least there wasn't an explosion of cheap plastic jewelry everywhere.
Yet.]
Canopy beds are so monge~, zuraa~
no subject
It's a bit endearing, though. She walks over to the actual bed and sits on it, looking up at Komasan through the canopy. ]
We can just lounge around a bit before playing the game, if you wish.
no subject
The game...?
Eh!! T-That's right, I forgot already, zura!!
[No longer a sleepy ball of dog, Komasan scrambles about on the canopy before finally rolling off, hitting the floor with a nice soft "thud." His squish is able to take the impact, in fact he doesn't appear to be hurt at all, but again...it's hard to tell with Komasan.
Crawling his way onto the actual bed, he grabs his game and throws open the box, literally tossing the top like it's the world's worst designed frisbee.]
no subject
But WOW, the dog went from 0 to 10 pretty quick. She winces as Komasan hits the floor, but...he's up and moving and crawling onto the actual bed so he can't be hurt, right? Still, Mint feels like it's her duty to ask. ]
Uhm, are you okay?
[ That top flies off the box and lands with a tiny little thud on the floor. ]
no subject
...Well, considering his size, it doesn't really look...too out of place, but that's probably not how you play the game.]
Eh...? Yeah, sure, I feel fine, zura.
[That's actually a lie, he feels beautiful.]
no subject
Well that's good! [ grin! ] Though, uh...do you know where the instructions are?
no subject
As much as Komasan just wants to wear everything, there's probably a, well, game part to the...game. After a bit of wiggling around, Komasan pulls out the necessary piece of paper and begins to read it thoroughly.]
Mm hm...
...hm mm....
Eh...
I still can't read English, zura.
no subject
May I read the instructions?
[ She takes the paper...and pauses...and tries to read
...
and look, her English is good but that's it, it's just good. She's not great at it so there's a moment where she just kind of pauses and struggles. ]
I think I've got it?
