[As reliable as ever, Flynn is waiting at the Maurtia Falls side of the Porter, almost inconspicuous in his more ordinary casual clothes. Or he would be inconspicuous if not for the bright pink beacon of Estelle's hair. Still, making them easier to spot is probably for the best. He scans the steady stream of people filing out of the Porter for Nike's familiar face.]

Using the Porter is a little slower if you're unregistered. I didn't think to ask... I wonder if I should have brought the food to her instead.

[Fret fret fret. Nevermind that carrying all that food would have filled up even his magical inventory. Thanks, Estelle.]

[Oh, huh. She hadn't thought of that. She'd gotten Registered only recently after a considerable amount of debate, so the problems other people might run into in the meantime hadn't yet sunk in for her just yet.]

There's a lot of food though. [She doesn't even sound that apologetic about it, surprisingly.] I think carrying it all the way there would be more trouble, and if we miscalculated the amount, she'd feel too much pressure about having to finish it all. This way, she can pick out what she likes best and only bring leftovers home with her that she wants to finish.

[She never worries about that with Flynn, since he'll eat a n y t h i n g.]

[Estelle, you could sound at least a little apologetic about it.]

She seems like the type who'd manage somehow. [Thinking of just how much food she'd been trying to juggle at the gala when he met her...] But you're right, I'm not sure which things she likes. This is probably best.

[Why sound sorry when you're always right...] Well, we can always give her more if she wants it, right? That's pretty easy to do. Maybe we can visit her next time instead.

[The line leaving from Heropa to Maurita Falls was a long one. It took an hour or two to get permission to go through. Even so it wasn't much of an issue for her, but she does lament over not having asked Riku to get her to the other side. Oh well.]

Flynn!

[It wasn't too difficult to find him. Not when he had such a pretty girl next to him with bright pink hair. Nike may be heading their way quicker than usual just to get a chance to meet her.]

Is this the friend that made an apology feast for you?

Lady Nike! I hope the trip over here wasn't too much trouble. [Flynn smiles at the sight of her, quickly distracted from his worries about the proper distribution of food.]

Yes, that's right. This is Lady Estellise. She's a friend of mine from home who arrived here recently. [And, apparently, immediately caused enough trouble to warrant such an over-the-top apology.]

[Wow, rude, Flynn...] You can call me Estelle though, if you want to; Flynn insists on using my title... [Estelle smiles invitingly at Nike (and possibly a little wistfully at her beautiful long hair...).] It's so nice to meet you.

It wasn't for the most part! Seems like I picked a busy time to come over. Sorry to keep you two waiting for me all this time.

[She should have definitely given Flynn a disclaimer warning about it. Did she even tell him she wasn't registered to begin with? It was difficult to tell after drinking some wine at the gala.

When the introductions were done, Nike will wonder if Estelle was someone important if Flynn was referring to her as a 'lady'. A more friendly smile will be given to her once she confirms it.]

It's fine! I get it. Flynn is a pretty earnest knight. As long as you refer to me as just Nike, then I'll definitely do it. [A beat.] It's nice to meet you, Estelle. Welcome to your new home away from home.

No, I should have thought about how crowded things would be before I called you.

[Oh well, Flynn will break the cycle of apologies before they get dragged into a neverending loop. He can't help but smile a little at that assessment of his character.]

Well, 'earnest' is a step up from 'stuffy'. Thank you.

[You're still stuffy, Flynn...]

I hope you're hungry, Nike... [Have a slightly sheepish grin.] I might have made a little too much food. [A lot of it is sandwiches for both Rita and Leon, so at least they're portable.]

[She appreciates his successful attempt at stopping the cycle of apologies they may have all potentially fallen to.]

It's fine! It would be unfair to call you 'stuffy' when I know you're diligent about your position as a knight. You remind me a little of a family member from back home now that I think about it.

[It wasn't too difficult for her attention to return to Estelle along with her usual energy at the thought of food.]

Definitely! Flynn caught me on the nick of time when he told me about his "dilemma". [Definitely making the quoting gesture over here.] What did you make so much of that he had to ask for reinforcement?

I do? Thank you for the compliment, and your understanding.

[He'll assume it's a compliment, anyway, not that everyone's impressions of their family are so positive. He thinks. Even if the only person he really knows with family is Estelle, actually, assuming Ioder counts.

The question makes him snort softly, which is most definitely not him snorting at the princess--either princess. That would be unforgivably rude. What didn't Estelle make that much of would be the better question, though.]

Ah well... [Okay, retracting stuffy and substituting ~~rude~~ churlish Flynn! Not that Estelle would ever say...]

There are a lot of sandwiches to start with, but um... there's soup, and sorbet, and salad... [None of which does well without refrigeration...] I-it might be faster to just show you when we get back.

Yeah. You do. I'll introduce you to him if he ever finds his way here.

[Nike will catch his soft laughter after having asked her question over the amount of food Estelle made. Her attention will be on her as she begins to offer a list.]

That sounds like a good idea. It's difficult to determine if I'm in trouble or not until I see the amount you made with my own eyes. I usually eat a great deal, so if you made too much I should be able to eat most of it anyway. [Hopefully it will be the case, it was difficult to tell when she barely knew the other girl.] Lead the way. This is actually my second time visiting this particular city. How are you both enjoying it so far?

Hm... It's a little like home, at least for me. Lady Estellise and I are from the same hometown, actually. [Although the perspective from the castle and the perspective from the lower quarter really don't have very much in common. Flynn turns to lead the way, glancing back over his shoulder at the two of them and smiling.]

Although I can't say it rains nearly this much in Zaphias. We're lucky the weather is cooperating just this once.

I think it might be a little sunnier in Nonah, compared to here. I really like all the different cities though! There's so many new things to see and people to meet. And I'm really glad you were able to come visit us! [And everything you said about your appetite is literal music to Estelle's ears, please help.]

Do you like it here, Nike? I'm not sure how long you've been here. It sounds as though our worlds might be a bit similar?

Oh, really? Are you two childhood friends by any chance? You're beginning to give me that vibe by how close you two seem to be. [When he mentions the weather cooperating, Nike will offer a light laugh.] You don't need to worry about that. If it starts to rain, leave it to me to get it to go away for a bit. This city, in particular, has a fondness for rain compare to the other cities. The citizens, here, prefer it, especially. [Since it describes their feelings of discontent over their current situation while a feeling of melancholy in not having the power to fix it. Maurtia Falls was a city that felt heartbroken and was desperately screaming for help.

Nike will turn away from the voices and feelings of light despair to concentrate on Estelle and Flynn's warmth instead.]

It is! Heropa is even sunnier than any of the other cities combine. It's good to hear that you're having a lot of fun here. Isn't the future amazing? They have everything one can ever ask for.

[And with a nod of her head.] I do! I've been here ever since May. And I wouldn't be surprise if it were the case. Flynn is the first knight I have met ever since arriving here. Just like you're the first princess that I've met as well. I've met more people from my similar point in time, but they have titles I've never heard of before.

[Childhood friends, huh. The face Flynn makes at the thought is a tiny bit dismayed, for so many possible reasons.] No, nothing like that. We met a few years ago, when I was first stationed at the castle. I really hadn't learned enough manners yet not to be overfamiliar with the princess.

[But the turn in topics makes his smile brighten. The future really is amazing.]

I've met one other knight, but it doesn't seem very common. What kind of titles do you mean?

[Oy, Flynn, four years is a long time. Maybe not childhood friend status, but still...] Flynn was my very first real friend though. I'm glad he didn't know any better then.

You can control the rain? [What, so amazing! She's just going to be beaming brightly at Nike.] How does that work? [She has so many questions, feel free to rein (haha) her in at any time.] You can tell what the people who live here are feeling? [Also just...going to file away that information; she's had experience with rainy cities and disaffected populations before...]

It does sound like we come from pretty similar worlds. Maybe there are other knights and princesses and such here as well. I keep hearing about ambassadors in other cities...

[There will be a laugh at their explanation concerning their friendship.] Who ever said it was rude to be overfamiliar with the princess? I think it is a good thing to be that way. If you don't respect and admire those you're suppose to protect, what is the point of being a palace knight, right? [And Estelle seems like a wonderful princess as well. One that anyone guard would be proud to protect, in Nike's opinion.]

The weather, to be more exact. The rain is just something very special in my world. It's part of my other title and duties back home. [As for her other questions, Nike will try to find a way to explain it all because she knew it usually confuses people whenever she does mention it.] I do it through singing an ancient song that was taught to my family back home. Once I find a proper arrangement for the area I'm asking for its' power, then I can make it rain or control the weather. Which includes the wind as well. My powers are based on the way my surroundings and I react to one another. Without having a basic understanding of the area I'm in, which includes the feelings of the people here, then I won't be able to ask for its cooperation. There are some cities that are a little...stubborn over wanting for its weather to be controlled by someone else.

Have you? Who are they? What are they like? Oh, I've met someone who looks like a squire except they are known as a Shepherd instead. Have you met a boy named Sorey before? [She'll turn to Estelle with a nod.] It sounds like it. I wouldn't be surprise if it's the case. Most royals that arrive to this world have no issues with giving up their titles and living a normal life. People rarely announce those type of things. And we have ambassadors that represent the imPorts. Were you around for the voting? They're apparently elected in this world.

Most of the nobles in Zaphias would say so, including a large number of the Knights themselves. [But he smiles, apparently glad enough to be outvoted on the subject. If both princesses are in consensus, he's not in a position to disagree.] Still, I can't help but agree. My duty as a knight is to protect everyone, no matter what my personal opinions might be. But as a person rather than just as a knight, I'd rather have an emperor and vice-emperor I can take pride in. And I'm grateful to have met a friend when I needed one.

[He listens with interest to her explanation of her powers, though he imagines it would have more import to Rita. Magic isn't particularly his specialty.] Stubborn? That sounds like Maurtia Falls. [Well, getting it to start raining in the first place likely wouldn't be so difficult.]

Lady Knight Keladry is the only other knight I've met. I'm not familiar with Sorey. ['Shepherd' is an interesting title, though. He makes a considering noise.]

[Thanks for backing her up, Nike!! She's been trying to tell him that for such a long time. Sorry Flynn, you're going to be ganged up on forever.

Oh right, technically she's the vice-emperor, by Ioder's order, not just a princess... It was still really strange.]

I think it's good to get a chance to experience something new like this. Even with the way things have gone back home, it would be very hard to completely give up my title just because of the way people are used to thinking of me, even if I really wanted to. [And she remembers Drake's admonition very clearly.] I don't really miss that very much. [It was just nice not having other people's expectations to live up to all the time.]

I didn't know that, about the ambassadors. I suppose I should go find and introduce myself, one of these days.

[Oh look, they made it back home! Hope you're as hungry as you said you were, Nike!]

I don't usually count the opinion of the other nobles or old school knights. [Then again, Nike is very bias over this, and usually gives her retainers many headaches.] But, I do agree with you, in wanting to take pride in your leaders. It's important for there to be harmony between the citizens and those in charge. Peace can only be acquire in that way -- through mutual respect. Otherwise, everyone will live a very tense and dangerous way. [All spoken from personal experience, after meeting Livi and learning of the reason he looked at the world with cautious and cynical eyes.]

And you should definitely meet Sorey. I know you'll like him! He's a very good guy. Honorable and brave; very charitable of his time too.

[Her attention will turn towards Estelle with an energetic smile and nod.]

You and me, both. I never did feel comfortable with my own titles. They always make you feel so distant from those you're suppose to protect and care for. [She loves visiting everyone outside the castle walls. Either to talk or help them with mundane tasks that she would usually do back home.] What was your title back home? Do you still use the princess or prince ones? I'm guessing an emperor and vice-emperor is more like a king and queen type of position? Then again, they sorta sound more like a president and vice-president...

[It won't be long until Nike notices they finally arrive to the house. Her overly obnoxious stomach will remind everyone the reason she was over in the first place. A sigh will escape her lips at that.]

...sorry. I guess I'm hungrier than I originally thought I was.
