Keith at least makes efforts at getting her to stop when she starts acting up, usually with at least some success. When not managing his reckless monster of a lion he's visiting Lance or one of the other paladins or training in the backyard—sometimes normal human exercise, sometimes trying to figure out how to use fire powers without setting everything on fire.
There are probably a few singed spots on the tree back there. Keith isn't sorry.
Today, however, he's gone out to do the shopping for the week. He...might need to go out again if anyone wants anything other than packs of ramen, some eggs, a bag or two of frozen mixed veggies, and a case of water. He's... He's trying here.]
no subject
[It's a quiet voice that eventually speaks up, standing in the doorway to the kitchen as he watches Keith come in with the groceries.]
...
[Before a warm smile appears on his face.]
Are you trying to make ramen?
no subject
He shrugs.]
I was thinking about it.
no subject
I know what you can use for it.
[don't mind him as he sets the soccer ball he'd been carrying to the side, heading over towards the cabinets to pull out a slightly-bigger-than-average bowl.]
You can fit everything in this better.

Friendship seemed like a nice thing to have, and he was hoping the house had that kind of feeling.
It was...quiet, at least. The red lion that seemed to take residence with them (Keith's? He assumes, she follows him whenever he's out and about) especially catches his attention. Much like a kid looking at an actual lion at a zoo.
It didn't take him long to figure out that no one really seemed to take command of the kitchen, so that gave him time to sneak in and cook something up when he felt up for it. Rice, furikake, and some sort of protein (chicken, egg, or shrimp usually--the joys of living on the coast) was often left out in a giant bowl for the other two. 'Mess', his older sister would call it. Something she would make when she had to scrounge together something to feed all the children.
He would give casual hellos to the other roommates before taking his plate to the kitchen, washing it immediately before placing it to dry.
Tonight is one of those times, just around when it's starting to get dark and all the lights have been dimmed for the night. He's cleaning his bowl, the only light in the kitchen is by little glowing stars surrounding him as he dries it and sets it to the side. He was more active during the night, so you can probably find him wandering between the kitchen doing this, or on the couch TV, watching some late night sitcom.
It's probably cringe-worthy funny, but hey. He's a kid. And an alien.
Don't judge.]
Yue Katou | OTA
Katou has, somehow, managed to be a fairly quiet roommate so far... though it's largely because he has discovered the Internet and has now decided that he pretty much lives there. It doesn't help that his actual job involves being on the Internet. Who the hell thought that was a good idea????
Either way, he's emerged from his room for the first time in over twenty-four hours... mainly because he's realized that he's starving. So he's gone into the kitchen, to realize.... there's basically nothing in the fridge. He certainly hadn't gone shopping. ]
What the fuck, where's all the food?
[ He says that as though he's never been on his own living on the edge of abject poverty... Which is absolutely a lie, he was definitely doing that before he died. Honestly, he just assumed one of his roommates would be more responsible than he is. ]
no subject
There are eggs. And ramen in the cabinet.
no subject
[ Katou snags the eggs from the fridge and heads towards the cabinet. ]
They need to give us a roommate that can cook.

Do we have a rice cooker, though?
no subject
[Life goals, right there.]
But I made it on the stove, It should be all ready if you throw it in the microwave a few moments.

Hunk | Come At Me, New Friends!
Keith never talked about his family. Keith had left the Garrison and taken up in a shack instead of with his parents. Or an aunt. Or an uncle. Or grandparents. Or anybody. So he's always ready to try and curb Lance's attitude without having to be blunt about it, and he doesn't always get Keith himself, but... He wants to try. He wants to help where he can.
And now? Lance had let slip that Keith's idea of grocery shopping is woefully underdeveloped, and that he was probably living on Ramen, eggs, and frozen veggies. That's bad. But it's nothing that can't be fixed!
Long story short, Hunk's in the kitchen of somebody else's house, unpacking several bags of groceries. He'd gotten all of the staples that he could think of, some seasoning stuff, some fresh fruit and veggies, some meat options... Keith ought to be set for a while, but he's still not done.
While his lion waits with her head propped on the kitchen table, Hunk picks out a select few things for a meal. Congrats, DC007, you've gained an overly-involved yellow paladin. ]
no subject
Didn't burglars do the opposite.]
...
Hello.
[It's a quiet voice, and it may not even be heard as he slowly walks in, noticing a yellow giant lion now sitting with her head propped up on the table, he walks over to extend a hand out to her.
Letting her decide if he can pet her or not.]
no subject
Hunk finds the scene once he closes the fridge door. Surprise registers first on his face, then guilt. He'd kinda hoped it'd be Keith that he ran into first. ]
Oh, uh. Hey. How's it going? I'm Hunk. [ Just some stranger in your kitchen. No big deal. Might wanna tell him what you're up to, man. ] I'm a friend of Keith's.
Lance said you guys didn't really have any food, so...

Let me guess; Lance sent you?
no subject
Not exactly. [ Lance probably wouldn't admit that his telling Hunk about Keith's empty pantry was anything other than character criticism, and totally not intended to move Hunk to do something about it. Hunk's not about to admit it on Lance's behalf, at least not fully. ] He just told me that you kept things pretty bare-bones, and that the rest of your house seemed to, so...
[ So he had to do something. Never mind that Lance knew that Hunk would have to do something. Nobody sent anybody! ]
