About the burden buried deep inside my chest.

WHO: Leonard McCoy and Daisy Johnson (later featuring Spock and Kirk)
WHERE: A bar
WHEN: August 4th
WHAT: Daisy is going through a tough time and McCoy is here to cure her rainy day
WARNINGS: Probably McCoy's foul mouth. Will add as necessary

August.

If McCoy was on the Enterprise, he could close his eyes and pretend he was enjoying a summer's evening in Georgia as the ship sails seamlessly through space at warp speed. Space was a goddamn hellish nightmare; its inky depths concealed untold terrors like hostile aliens and new diseases genetically designed to wipe out the human race, but it did have the benefit of looking beautiful from a chair with a tumbler glass of whiskey in hand.

Instead he was stuck on a planet that time forgot and was steadily getting more pissed off with easy passing day.

McCoy would never admit this, but the laboratory facilities at the Residence were impressive for an alternate version of Earth that was still in the dark ages. The fact still remained a simple task like replicating a medication would've taken him about twenty minutes to complete in his medical bay with ensigns staying the hell out of his way. Here, he had to contend with a job and Spock constantly looking over his shoulder and chipping in with his suggestions.

His temper had gotten the best of him this evening and he ended up storming out of the laboratory. Not only was he frustrated by missing the deadline he set, but it was exacerbated by the constant backseat driving from a Vulcan who needed his goddamn jaw wired shut. Now there's a good use of this world's technology.

He sent a quick text message to Jim and headed for the nearest bar, determined to enjoy the rest of the night before starting afresh tomorrow morning.

It's been hard for Daisy to leave the cabin, but she finally makes the effort to. If only because being around Jesse and the others was making her feel suffocated. A park might be a great idea to clear her head, if she was up for that sort of thing. Instead she found herself at a bar. Not the one she worked at, used to work at... She's honestly not sure where she stands on that with Jessica. She hasn't called to talk about it.

It was crowded when she entered, which wasn't that surprising. In fact, it actually put her at ease, because no one would pay attention to her. They were too distracted by their own conversations to notice her, hopefully. She didn't care for quiet either, so the noise of everyone chatting was comforting for her.

Managing to find a stool at the bar, Daisy parked it next to some older guy. Ordering her drink, she looked straight ahead. Which wasn't the usual for her, little miss chatter box, but conversation just wasn't easy for Daisy right now.
