[Yukyun didn't really have any expectations for running into familiar faces when he showed up here. The whole thing seemed like it was left up to random chance, after all...and he couldn't exactly count on finding anyone he knows. But it turns out a few people did wind up here in the end..."as fate would have it". And one of them? He happens to be from a little earlier time period- right when the guy had turned into a fresh, baby vampire.

Or at least, that's sure what it seemed like from the older network post. It helps that Yukyun happens to know that Junseo does turn out to be a vampire, so he's got a better chance of being right.

After all those little alarm bells had gone off, he'd decided to keep an eye on the boy...at least, to an extent. This isn't Busan- it's not his city to run and take care of constantly. ("Constantly"). So he's not going to jump through hoops to maintain order or anything. It'd be a waste of effort in a place like this anyway, where things already go to shit all the time. But he does think there could be some benefit in looking out for the kid. If not now...maybe later. It's good to keep the options open.

That's why he'd been keeping blood packs on hand while he'd been out and about in the cities. Never know when you might need a good bag of blood...(at least he has the excuse of being a vampire too). It'll save him the trouble of finding a good food source if he finds Junseo's run into any trouble, at least.

Just like now...He "happened to be in the area", but he can hear that familiar voice in distress well enough. Yukyun whistles like he's trying to act innocent (even though no one's accused him of anything?) and he strolls along into the alley where the sound is coming from. At least no one can say he's sneaking up on Junseo.]

[ Junseo might be a familiar face to Yukyun, but Junseo can't say the same. It's true, when he came back to this world he was fresh into vampiredom, and had only just met Jaehyun Kim, the man who would take Junseo under his wing and teach him how to resit the impulse to attack someone every time he felt even a little bit peckish. It's a shame too, because Junseo sure could use something like that now.

Every now and then Junseo forgets to get out there and eat like he should. He's well aware at this point that he needs blood to survive, and he's done a pretty good job so far of not murdering anyone to get his dinner, and would like to keep it that way. He's not a killer by nature, even if his new appetite seems to disagree with that idea.

He is an idiot by nature though, and he is forgetful. There's always a vague hunger boiling under the surface that he's had to learn to ignore, which also means that it's hard to tell when it's about to get out of control until it's too late.

Right now is one of those situations. The last time he felt this way he cornered a housewife in an alleyway and almost attacked her. This time he finds an alley that's abandoned and shrinks down on himself. It's funny, because this is how Jaehyun had found him too, crouched low, hands over his head, trying to fight off strange impulses that Junseo didn't fully understand.

The only difference was this time Junseo isn't covered in blood, and has at least a little bit of an idea why he feels this way.

He still looks horrified at the sound of approaching footsteps as he jerks his head up. ]

[Yukyun would appreciate the irony, if he knew how similar the scene is to Jaehyun's right now. And while he's used to dealing with baby vampires, he's not the type to well and truly "dad" any of them. Still...this is a problem he can, and will fix.

Forgetting to eat while you're a human is inconvenient...but it's a whole other story when you're a vampire. No matter what alleyway Junseo huddled himself up in, it wouldn't end well for anyone if he didn't get some blood in his system soon. And luckily for everyone, there is some blood he can offer the guy.

Personally, he doesn't think he's coming across as very threatening right now. Just a guy out for a late night stroll- hands shoved in his pockets...nonchalantly walking through some dark alleys. All the usual stuff. But he's not trying to be intimidating, at least...that requires some baseline of effort which isn't even necessary right now. Even if he did want to scare the kid, Jundeo's already got that "deer in the headlights" look on his face.

Yukyun tugs one hand out of his pocket and gives a wave to the kid that's just as casual as everything else.]

Rough night, kid?

[ It takes a minute to place the guy. He might not recognize him from his own world, but they did have a run in with each other once... when a trashcan was on fire. There was another man with him that was very loud and yelled at Junseo like he expected Junseo to know what to do to put a fire out.

To be fair, Junseo has become something of an expert in extinguishing fires over the past year. For some reason since coming to this world things set on fire around him a lot more than they used to? As it, they used to never do it, and now it seems to happen at least once a month. Of course, he would understand why if he could be bothered to read the files he was given on his arrival, instead of just throwing them out, but no... no that would be sensible.

Sensible would also be running from the shady looking guy cornering you in an alley, but Junseo doesn't feel like he's in any condition to run right now. He does have a momentary spike of panic at the idea that he might attack this guy, but inhaling deeply through is nose dispels that worry.

This guy smells gross. Definitely not something Junseo wants to eat.

He stays where he is though, crouched low to the group, watching Yukyun with wide eyes as he nods slowly. Rough night sounds right. It's funny he escaped from the withdrawals of the drug he was addicted to only to suffer from a completely different kind. ]

[He was trying to be helpful with the trashcan fire, at least...not that he ended up doing much. And, well, at least he didn't leave a bad enough impression to send the kid running when he strolls over. Chasing him down wouldn't be a great start off to a vampire meet baby vampire relationship. Then again, there've definitely been worse meetings in his lifetime.

It's honestly lucky that nothing's been set on fire now. Yukyun might not know for sure, but it does seem like it's a least a possibility that it was one of the kid's powers. That's what this world does, right? Give people weird, new powers when they show up.

Either way, that's not what he's concerned with right now. And luckily...the powers that're a major concern, are the ones he's already very well acquainted with.

Speaking of which. Yukyun actually laughs a little when he notices Junseo inhaling like that. The guy must be preeeetyyy hungry.]

What's wrong? I don't seem too appetizing?

[He shakes his head- grinning like he's remembering an inside joke.]

It's ok, you can be honest. I'll brace myself for the answer.

[ He's not wrong about them being part of Junseo's powers, though it's not like Junseo can control it at all. It's not like Junseo is even fully aware he's behind it. Right now, for example, the air is much colder than it should be on a summer night, and while that has everyone to do with the distress and gnawing discomfort inside him right now, Junseo has absolutely no idea that he's the cause.

He is, at least aware of some (not all) of the powers that came along with being a member of the undead. Mostly the fact that he's faster, tougher, and stronger than he used to be. He hasn't figured out a lot of the other perks, and no one has even told him about his ability to glamour people. It may be just as well, because Junseo's just as likely to melt someone's brain out of their head as he is to control them.

His brain usually acts more like soup than a functioning brain itself, but it is working well enough right now for him to tense up at what Yukyun in saying to him.

Admittedly, he did once make a network post where his mouth was covered in blood, but he's still shocked that someone could take a guess about his new dietary habits out of the blue like that. ]

[Knowing the basics is a good starting place, since it saves him at least a little trouble. Still...it's not like he's never started from scratch before. And he doesn't have much else on his plate right now either. Looks like vacation time is over for a while.

He already gets the sense that any of his lame jokes would probably be lost on Junseo right now, but he's basically incapable of giving a straight answer anyway. At least this basically ends up being one-]

Wellll...You know the phrase "takes one to know one", right?

[At the very least, he won't beat around the bush too much...There's no point in not giving Junseo the blood pack right away. So Yukyun reaches into his coat pocket...in the most non-threatening way he can manage- and takes it out.]

This should do a little better.

[ As non-threatening as the motion is Junseo still tenses up when he sees Yukyun reach into his pocket. He's not even sure what he might be pulling out, but whenever he's hungry like this Junseo's nerves get frayed, and he gets jumpier than normal. It really does have some vague echoes of some of the emotions and feelings he had when he was going through withdrawals when still human.

He's got the same strong cravings and lack of impulse control as well, so when Yukyun pulls out the bag of blood, Junseo freezes for all of two seconds before pouncing on it.

There's no time for him to process Yukyun's comment, much less ask questions about him questions about it. No, right now Jang Junseo is too busy ripping the blood packet open with his teeth and gulping down the contents.

Yukyun really has no idea how similar this is to Junseo's first meeting with Jaehyun, right down to Junseo making a bloody mess out of his own face. ]

[He should know by now not to bother making ambiguous comments when he's dealing with a starving baby vampire. But he really can't pass up the chance to act like one of the lead roles in a movie, apparently...Not that it ever actually works out that way.

Still, he doesn't seem bothered by it. The kid's obviously got to eat, seeing that he looks like a rabid animal right about now. So Yukyun stands there quietly for a moment- letting Junseo devour the rest of the blood packet and make an even bigger mess of himself. He brushes his shoulder off casually while he waits...at least it shouldn't take too long.]

You're going to waaaste half of it if you eat it that way.

[Said in an almost mock-singsongy tone. Not that it matters now, since Junseo's already started gulping it down. Not to mention- if the kid already looked suspicious before, he's definitely going to now with blood smeared all over his face.

Maybe they can take the back road out of here.]

[ Backroads would be a good idea, because it's not only Junseo's face that's a mess, it's his outfit too. He really needs to find a better way to get blood quickly, because he's going to ruin a lot of shirts with bloodstains if he lets himself go so long he can't control it.

Then again, he doesn't always control it well even when he is properly fed. There were a few times that Jinseok's life was probably in bigger danger than he realized back when he was still in this world. It's amazing that Junseo has the self control to stop himself at all. Though it might be less about self control and more that pre-death (undeath?) Junseo's violent tendencies and urges were well below even the norm, and it makes it easier to pull himself back from those kind of actions now thanks to it.

Not when he's starving though. He he looks like a wild animal ready to rip apart anyone who gets too close to him up until a good half a minute after he's emptied out the contents of that bag. True to what Yukyun was saying too, about half of that bag is now covering Junseo, and as his expression shifts from savage to befuddled he licks at the corners of his mouth, slowly looking back up at Yukyun and waiting for everything to be explained here.

He could ask questions, but Junseo honestly doesn't even know what questions he'd want to ask. ]
