Kara Danvers
The most important thing about being in a new place, at least to Kara Danvers, is the exploring. Kara has visited places all over the world, of course, some with her cousin and some just on her own, but she hasn't lived anywhere but the West Coast of the US since she'd arrived on Earth. Every one of the imPort cities is new to her, and they're all very different from Midvale or National City, and different from each other. So, exploring. Everywhere.
For the most part, she's emitting a low, steady glow that increases when she's excited, decreases when her mood drops, but rarely goes away entirely.
Find her at an outdoor cafe, maybe the Lucky Cat Cafe in Heropa with an English toffee latte, or walking around taking in the sights in De Chima, or poking around a few back alleys in Maurtia Falls (maybe somewhere she shouldn't be?), or all over the place in Nonah, getting to know her new hometown and finding her footing as a Celebrity Gossip and Fashion Reporter. She's not sure yet what kind of celebrities they have here, or who any of them are, oops, but if you're wearing something especially interesting, maybe expect a few questions!
Supergirl
There's nothing else like flying. A lot's happened since Kara arrived in Nonah, but being in the air like this, everything slows down. Find Supergirl in midair orif she's luckyhelping out someone in trouble, or just on the ground in any town, happy to be back in costume.

@andaway
It's taken more time than she'd expected to get around town, once the people who lived there figured out that she wasn't from around here, which was easier than it had been back in National City, now that she glows just a little bit at all times. But it's still a smiling Kara wandering along the street and window-shopping when she catches sight of a familiar and really unexpected face in the reflection of the window. Complete with glasses. Clark?
She reaches up to adjust her own glasses automatically, then turns around and catches his eye and gives him a little wave, her glow already brightening.

It takes a lot (a whole lot) for him not to fly to her side. Instead Clark Kent has to settle for just running as fast as a human can.
“Kara!”

He looks a little different, a little older maybe, his face not quite the same as it was the last time she'd seen it, but that doesn't matter. It's Clark, her family is here. It's okay now. "Oh my gosh, Clark, you're here!"
no subject
“Indeed, been here for a while.” With a pause in the middle but he’ll get back to that later. “How long have you been here?”
no subject
She doesn't see him very often at home. It had been too difficult for her when she'd been younger, too great a reminder, so he'd had a talk with the Danverses and he'd kept his distance and she'd kept hers, and that had...sort of continued. Even as she got older. She'd been trying to be normal. She'd needed that. But now that she's finally come into her own and started saving people and helping the world and wearing their family coat of arms, maybe that should change. Maybe it will change here?

She walks in, yawning, and calls, "Anybody home?" as she heads for the kitchen, or where she thinks the kitchen is. She knows where her room is, that's about it so far, and she isn't even really hungry, but who needs to be hungry to wander to the refrigerator and stare into it?
no subject
(she turns the corner to the kitchen, and. that certainly isn't one of her housemates. this is a New Girl. wendy leans against the wall with a welcoming smile.) Fresh meat?
no subject
Hi! Um, yes, pretty fresh I guess, I got here a few days ago. I haven't really been here yet? I've been pretty busy. I'm Kara. Danvers.

[She's sure it helped, but it had still felt strange being...well, she hadn't had her costume, and there had been so many other people with powers there to help, and some of them had costumes, which made her sort of a, a second-stringer.]
Jeez, six months. That's a while. Don't you wonder what's happening at home while you're here?

Kara focuses her phone to get both of them in the frame, with the skyline in the background like a proper sightseeing trip—it's Kara's first time in Heropa, of course there's sightseeing—then she frowns a little bit and tries to tone down the glow. "This is not helping my selfie game."
no subject
Shaking her head a little in amused disbelief, she asks, "Should I help somehow? I'm still not sure that I understand how your... light works."
no subject
She puts on a very serious expression, tries to think of sad things. But everything sad in her life seems so far away right now, and that just makes her feel better, so it just backfires. "Fine, I'll just take a picture of you, okay smile."

supergirl.
It was going pretty well, really, with the jumping and the self-propulsion with fireworks generating from her hands, until she tapped herself out. And now she is swearing very loudly, in a very Australian accent and with words probably not appropriate to be yelled top volume in public as she freefalls from what is going to be a very uncomfortable height.
Sure, there's trees, but the trees could still hurt.
!!!
And that level of yelling, from somewhere in the sky, can only mean some kind of trouble. Supergirl changes direction immediately, streaking through the sky like a red dart, and catches the falling girl around the waist before she's even close to being impaled by any trees. "I've got you! I've got you, you're safe," she says, leveling out and slowing to a comfortable drift toward the ground.
no subject
"What," she bites out, "the Hell?"
By which she means thank you very much. It takes her a moment to register that the adrenaline kick can stop (not that it does) and that her response doesn't need to be fight. 'Flight' has never been something she excelled at in any context, apparently.
no subject
"Um, hi, you're safe, you're okay." Friendly smile! "I'm guessing you can fly now? Maybe aren't used to it yet?" That seems like a safe assumption around here.
no subject
"Uh— yeah. Yes." A pause, and Sarissa glances down at her palm, and a few bright sparks splutter forth. "More like I can jump really high and then muck about with propulsion."
Her smile is crooked, self-deprecating. "It always seems like a really good idea until I get hungry or something. Then I'm all outta juice." Sarissa's eyeroll is a pretty impressive thing, even if her flying is not. "I owe you one for the, uh. Saving me from a gruesome, bloody demise, or something."

She's been to the Lucky Cat Cafe a couple of times, mostly right before closing to fuel her nightly patrol. Now she could take the time to look around the place, find a comfortable place to sit and enjoy her latte.
She was making her way to a chair when she spotted the familiar face.
"Kara? Hi!"
no subject
She has more of a handle on it now though, it's just a glow making her look lit from within, not any actual light emissions. She'd been a second sun on the beach, she's trying to avoid that these days.
Sometimes it's harder than other times, like when she's seeing a new (new?) friend. "Steph!" Kara waves her over to the table she has against a window. "Hi. What did you get? Have you been here before?"
no subject
"Just a plain latte. I've been by a few times, right before closing." If you take her meaning.
"I'm a total caffeine addict. What'd you get?"
no subject
Right before closing, so, right before the cape-work happens? That makes sense. She doesn't do patrols of National City, not unless there's been trouble anyway, or she's antsy for one reason or another. Work, or heroing, or friends. "I only wish the caffeine part worked on me."
no subject
"For the best, trust me. Withdrawal migraines are the worst."
