A - Sleep over | 1 - 10 | De Chima

i. [Ever since the 26th of June, Nike has been staying in De Chima's house #06 and hasn't left the safety of Sorey's bedroom. Her thoughts have been mainly at the voices surrounding her whenever Mikleo wasn't by her side to more or less block it. There was a lot on her mind concerning the way she treated others. She wasn't absolutely certain on the way she should go about it now. Regardless of her thoughts, she will smile whenever her friends popped up, only if she wasn't already communicating with De Chima's surroundings.]

ii. [After she spoke to Kagami and was able to feel more accepting of it all, Nike will be more social and leave the house to explore De Chima in a more thorough way by walking around the neighborhood, visiting the nearby businesses, and other land marks she can find. Whenever she is out, Nike will stop at random moments, look up at the sky, close her eyes, and remain there in complete silence without moving or doing anything. Other times she may sing at random, just to test the retraction of people's attention or to test her own power in De Chima. The wind will be in her control by the 8th of July, where she'll use to randomly cool people down or play with children in keeping their kites up in the sky.]

B - Shopping | 1 - 3 | Heropa/De Chima

i. [The gala was a few days away from occurring, and Nike was excited to get a dress and shoes for this special event; however she has been having trouble finding a suitable style that won't show too much of her form or wasn't too short or all of the above. Her gaze will definitely looked trouble by the wide selection of dresses that didn't fall within her tastes or vision in the way she wanted to go as. There may be a frustrated shout from her.]

Ahh! I give up!

ii. [Once she gave up on the dresses, she can be found observing the shoes offered or make up techniques to use from. Nike had about enough to buy a little more for the event. After all, she wanted to look her best as she saw it as an opportunity to connect with the original citizens of the world she was in along with meeting other imPorts, maybe they can create a show as a way to gain positive reviews from them. The feelings of her surroundings may change if she can -- she won't feel as though she was being suffocated by the feelings.]

C - Job Hunting | After the 10th | Heropa

[After the gala and returning home, Nike leaves home at the touch of dawn to search for a job. She will be visiting businesses all over Heropa -- imPorts or not -- if they were hiring and expressing interests in working. Most of her search will be to restaurants and cafes, hoping they would give her the opportunity, and other times will be to fast food chains and even stores. Any job that allows her to interact with a wide range of people, she would take. Customer service, in other words, as long as it wasn't a phone or behind a desk.]

Getting a job is harder than I thought...

[ It's at one of these stores that the Doctor runs into Nike. He's carrying a bag of tools, purchased at a hardware store...and as soon as he sees her, he lights up with a grin. Nike! Oh, he likes Nike, she's good people. He's just smiling as he nods. ]

Nike! Doing some shopping as well?

[ she doesn't have a bag but what else do people do if they're walking around and not working? ]

[drizzle]

[It was difficult to remain concentrated on her task when there was so many people surrounding her. When she hears a familiar voice, though, she'll look up to see who it was.]

Ah! Doctor, you're out and about today?

[Her attention will be on the bag of tools on his person. How curious.]

No. Unfortunately not. I'm searching for a job today. I kinda quit the job I was originally given and all by the government. [She didn't feel it was correct to keep it when she wasn't going to join their army.] How about you? What are you currently up to?

Picking up some tools for my job! [ the Doctor responds, lifting up a bag to show the store's logo. And then, he continues. ]

I work at a watch shop. If you know anything about watches, I can put in a good word for you!

[drizzle]

Your job doesn't already give you the tools you need?

[The store's logo will catch her attention as she wonders if she has already been there or not. She'll make a mental note of it for later.]

A watch shop? Do you make them? I...I don't really know much about it. Not sure they exist back home. I know pocket watches and clocks do though. The nobles usually have one. [At least, she remembers Neil owning a pocket watch only due to his position as Livius's right hand. Either way, she silently wonders about watches though, wondering if it was a trade she can learn to do, but somehow doubts it.] ...is it hard to learn to build one? A watch, I mean...

It does. But sometimes things break and as the fittest person in the shop, it's my job to run all the errands. [ the watch shop is literally owned by a couple with one foot in the grave. Granddad here runs the errands.

As for her question, the Doctor shrugs. ] Depends! How good are you at handling tiny things?

[ Sasaki will be going to the gala too, and of course he needs something decent to wear. He figures his trench-coat is not an appropriate item, and though underneath the coat his clothes are actually stylish, they aren't fit for a fancy gathering. So he is shopping too.

men have it a lot easier when it comes to buying formal clothing, so shoes are an item he expects to find quickly. Until he sees a familiar face there, too- ]

Oh- hello, there!

[drizzle]

[It was difficult to find shoes that didn't seem uncomfortable or hazardous. Why are there so many shoes with overly large high heels? Have people shrunk or something? She'll ponder those many mysterious about the current fashion until she noticed someone familiar.]

Oh, hey! You're one of Riku's friends, right?

[She remembers him very well. A polite smile will be on her lips at the memory.]

What are you up to today?

[ he waves a little at her before he approaches a bit ] Yes. Haise Sasaki, it's nice to meet you.

[ and the question leaves him to wave back at the shoes ] Well- trying to decide on what to wear for the gala. This is a lot harder than I expected.

Nike? [Sabriel had been looking for summer clothes when she spotted the other girl. She heads over from the display of broad-brimmed hats she'd been looking at.]

What's wrong?

[drizzle]

Oh, Sabriel. You're here too...?

[It was surprising to find the other woman at the stores today, but she was very happy to see her. Too bad she was too frustrated to offer her a less forceful smile.]

Um, I'm having a tough time finding a dress to wear for this gala thing. All the dresses here are too...short or tight or show too much. I can't seem to find a more modest dress. Or clothes for that matter. Why does even the underwear have to look so...bold!? [Even if some do seem more comfortable than her own.]

That's just the style here- don't worry, no one's going to see it- not unless you want them to. But it's functional enough.

[Sabriel pauses, thinking for a moment.]

Would you like me to take you to some of the stores I visit? They may have something more to your liking.

[drizzle]

[Her face may have turned slightly red at the mention of showing it. There will be a very quick shake her head on that. Not on her life will she show anything like that off to anyone!]

...do you wear the style they offer here? It sounds like...you're speaking from experience...

[At her offer though, Nike will look up at her curiously, wondering about the type of stores she goes to. It was an offer she couldn't pass up.]

If you don't mind, then I'll be happy to. I'm curious to know what your favorite style of clothes are.

[Sorry Nike, beyond her stern appearance, Sabriel can actually be teasing sometimes.]

Most of the time, particularly when I'm wearing clothes from this world.

And my preferred style is... a little old fashioned, but I mostly wear suits when I'm working. But I know a few shops that offer more modest options.

[ It may pull her away from production, but Kanaya likes to keep up with her retailers first hand when she can spare it, see how the stock is keeping and how she might need to better accommodate their orders. It's just one of those things you do when running a small yet ambitious fashion label, especially when your powers make being many places in a short amount of time easy.

Hearing Nike's frustration, she smiles in her direction, approaching her casually before leaning in discreetly, at least as discreetly as a 6'2 grey woman with orange horns can ever be. ]

You'll want to try those.

[ She points at the next display over. Because they're hers, of course. ]

[The suggestion that was made will catch her attention as Nike hadn't seen the next display yet. She has been to too many stores today with no luck in finding anything to wear. Anything that wouldn't overly insinuate her figure at least.]

[When she turns towards the woman before her, Nike will find herself staring up at her with a dumbfounded look, but it isn't until she gets a good look of her horns, skin color, and kindness to her voice and expression that it turns to one filled with wonder and a smile.]

[ Kanaya can't help but laugh at Nike's reaction. She gets plenty of them on a daily basis, but while they might have bothered her more years ago, she'll take anything that isn't malicious with a touch of amusement. ]

Well, one generally tends to prefer her own children over others. [ Though, you know, if asked to pick a favorite, she'd tend towards her actual daughter. She offers Nike her hand. ]

Kanaya Maryam. I'm a fashion designer.

[ Though, if she's not fond of anything too flattering, Kanaya's selection probably won't help much. ]

[ With a guest sleeping over, that meant that Mikleo is making Sorey clean up the room accordingly - or rather, doing it himself. While he's picking up most of the scattered history books around the room, he decides to converse with Nike. Though, it'll just look like the books are floating for her. ]

Make yourself at home. I'm sure that Sorey won't mind if you stay as long as you need to.

[drizzle]

[The moment she heard his voice, Nike will return to her current reality with a dazed expression on her face. She couldn't see him, but the way the book was floating around like that was very surreal to see. After all, spirits can't be felt nor carry items around, but Mikleo wasn't like any of the spirits in her world. She needed to remind herself this.]

Thanks, and sorry for having come over unannounced like this. In the middle of the night. I just...couldn't stay there anymore. Not with Kagami around.

[She couldn't help feel her heart hurt at the thought of her friend. The way things ended between them. It was too painful to remember especially when all she could feel is disgust, anger, and fear towards him.]

...but you really don't have to clean up...I don't mind the mess. It kinda reminds me of my grandmother's room...

If you don't mind me asking, what happened between the two of you?

[ He sets the books in hand on a nearby dresser, working to collect any fallen clothes now. It may have been a while since he had to clean up after Sorey like this, but he still makes a mental note to tell Sorey to clean up after himself later on, anyways. ]

... No, it's alright. Sorey isn't exactly all that dependable to do this on his own.

[drizzle]

[There will be some silence as he asks his question. All she will do is shake her head as she sits up. It doesn't bother her to talk about it. Not really. Even if she was biting her bottom lip in pure frustration and embarrassment.

It will take some time to calm her emotions though. That is until she heard his remark about Sorey. A ghost of a smile will appear.]

In other words, this is normal for him...

[It wasn't hard to sympathize, but pity him all at once. Too bad she had to return to his first question which will have her smile disappear as her thoughts go far away.]

...I...gave someone the wrong idea over my true intentions, and...needless to say, they did...something unforgivable. I...I know I shouldn't be mad or ashamed for having someone other than my husband touch me, but...I feel betrayed by them. I feel like I failed as a friend and wife. I...

[She'll close her eyes as she felt the strong need to cry, but she couldn't. Not now. Not in front of Mikleo.]

...I don't think I should be a rain summoner any more. N-Not when...all I do is hurt others....and no longer have the confidence I used to. I don't understand anything right now. I simply forced my hand on everyone I've met....forcing them to accept my whims, not minding if it hurt them or not in having done so.

[circulets]

[ Mikleo takes in those words carefully. ... So, her intentions had been misunderstood? But, if anything, it sounds as though she's blaming herself far more than she should. Of course, it's not as though he can blame her completely. In a hard situation, it's easy to judge things purely based on your own emotion. ]

I see. [ He begins quietly, moving to sit next to her. ] A situation like that-- it's not your fault though, is it? It doesn't excuse what he did, but... Sometimes emotions can get the better of others.

Still, I'm glad that you're alright.

[drizzle]

Tell me about it. He did it when I was lamenting the death of a friend. After lying to me about it to begin with.

[To be fair, if he had simply admitted his intentions without kissing her, she wouldn't have reacted as badly as she had. Her reaction to his first confession must have been traumatizing and gave him the wrong idea in a different sense. Nike felt guilty for that. Very guilty.]

....I never once thought he had those type of feelings towards me. I mean, I didn't treat him like he was special. I treated him as I do you, Sorey, or any other of my friends here. The way I would treat a stranger, even. I treat everyone equally, you know. [She really didn't expect Kagami, out of all people to look at her in that kind of way. How did she miss it?] Do you think it's wrong of me to treat everyone like this? Equally, with the same concerns I would have for a friend, and always wanting to be of help to them? I know my meddling can go out of hand at times, but... [It's hard not wanting to be helpful. Really hard. She just wants to be of use to everyone.]

If what you've done is meddling, then Sorey's done a lifetime's worth of meedling. [ Mikleo says, tone a little dry. Nike was helpful and outgoing, but not as much as Sorey was. Sorey, who jumps in to help just about anyone he thinks is in trouble. He's reassuring her, even if it doesn't seem as such. ]

People can misinterpret kindness. However, that doesn't mean that the blame can be placed on you. [ Still, that's... some timing. But, the timing does catch his attention - makes him wonder who she was with at the time. ]

The death of a friend. ... Do you mean Riku?

[ If there's one things Mikleo can't understand, it's how impatient others can be. However, Mikleo is also someone who's willing to wait as long as it takes for someone who is important to him - willing to do whatever steps he needs to take in order to accomplish something he earnestly wants to see done. ]
